This is the first time I have ever offered this car for sale. My 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Plum Crazy Hemi Convertible clone car. It runs with a crate 528 cubic inch aluminum heads Hemi engine with 610 horsepower and 650 ft-lbs of torque. Custom built 727 automatic transmission, 8 3/4  sure grip posi traction, 3:23 rear axle, power disc brakes with electric vacuum pump and power steering. IT is loaded with all new rubber door and trunk seals, black side stripe decals, black stripe on R/T hood, 426 metal emblems on hood, dual painted mirrors, flip top gas cap, rally gauges, tack, and power top. A cost of over $120,000.00 was spent building this beautiful show car just prior to me driving it about 1900 miles and that was a very cool once in a life time kind of experienc and pleasure. It's not any day or every day when a Hemi challenger convertible pulls up to the gas pumps, in fact every time I did , before I turned the engine off there was a croud gathered around it.The tack and speed odometer work well and the total milage registered on the odometer is 11878. This may be the actual miles on the body but I'am not sure of that but of course by looking at it you would think it had 78 miles. I'am getting into my senior years now and with regrets due to health issues I'am forced to sell this car as well as other cars that I own. The car is located on British Columbia,Canada and it can be sold with either a USA registration or a Canadian registration, I can do that for the buyer. The seller shall and will make every responsible effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of the auction. All the winter photos were taken in Nov 2013 and it was about 10 below zero thats why I did not snap the toneau cover down tightly, if it were sommer then it would fit nicely. Now that I have decided to sell this car there is two seprate locals gents that are trying to put a deal together ,so if any one of them come up with the funds before the auction runs its course then I do reserve the right to stop the auction and sell it locally. THIS IS GOING FOR A SECOND AND FINAL ROUND TO SEE IF I CAN GET ANY CLOSER TO MY LOWEST DOLLAR.

Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines

Fri, 16 Nov 2012

Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.

2013 Dart GT will hold us over until SRT stokes Dodge's handsome compact

Tue, 08 Jan 2013

No, this isn't quite the Dart SRT4 we've been waiting for - and still believe is coming - but as part of its 2013 Detroit Auto Show lineup, Dodge will be showing off the slightly sportier Dart GT seen here.
Building on the already well-equipped Limited model, the GT adds performance enhancements including a more powerful engine, 18-inch aluminum wheels, sport suspension calibration, unique front fascia and dual exhaust. Inside, you'll find perforated Nappa leather seats, a heated steering wheel and front seats, dual-zone climate control, remote start (if you spec the automatic transmission), Chrysler's 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, a seven-inch TFT display in the gauge cluster, and a whole lot more. Optional goodies include hyper black aluminum wheels, a technology group (pushbutton start, keyless go, rain-sensing wipers, blind spot monitoring and smart-beam headlamps), power sunroof, Sirius radio, Garmin navigation, Alpine premium sound and high-intensity discharge headlamps.
Powering the Dart GT is Chrysler's 2.4-liter MultiAir2 four-cylinder engine producing 184 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. That grunt is sent to the front wheels via a standard six-speed manual transmission, but a six-speed automatic 'box is optional.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat's 707 storming horses can be yours for $60k

Wed, 16 Jul 2014

We love a good deal on high performance. It's what traditionally makes muscle cars so appealing - you get lots of speed, for not a lot of money. For 2015, Dodge has taken this to its logical extreme, offering its new 707-horsepower, supercharged, V8-powered Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat for just $59,900. For those wondering, that works out to just about $85 per horsepower, which when compared with a typical budget performance car, like the $24,995, 210-hp Volkswagen GTI ($119 per hp), demonstrates the Hellcat's astonishing value.
The information was revealed by a photo (click on the inset image to expand) taken at this week's Portland launch event (our man Seyth Miersma is just now on the ground and will have a full report on the madness that is the Hellcat soon) for the entire 2015 Challenger range, and reveals the Hellcat's price alongside its high-powered competitors from Ford and Chevrolet.
The discontinued 662-hp Mustang GT500 started at $56,000, while the 580-hp Camaro ZL1 starts off at $58K. Indeed, the only muscle car that outprices the Hellcat is the track-focused Camaro Z/28, a car that we're guessing could still wallop the Hellcat on the right piece of track, despite being down over 200 hp.
