2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT
It is no surprise that the Dodge Grand
Caravan is and has always been the Number One selling
mini-van since they were introduced back in 1984. If
you've ever driven one, then you know just how
comfortable, functional, and yes, even stylish they are.
I Truly can't think of any other vehicle that gives you
so much for so little.
Our Grand Caravan SXT is a 1-Owner
vehicle and arrives in Gorgeous Butane Blue Pearlcoat.
It must have been garage kept based on its appearance.
The finish retains a deep, rich shine with no major
detractions worth mentioning. Color-coded bumpers and
body moldings along with Factory Alloy Wheels,
Deep-tread Cooper Radials, and rear Privacy Glass all
add to the "Form" of this Beauty.
As for the Function, it's plainly apparent when you
climb inside. The seating is comfortable for all with plenty
of visibility both inside the cabin and out. Entry is a
breeze with wide-opening front doors and Duel Rear Power
Sliding doors. There is also a Power Rear Gate to make
opening and closing a Breeze when your hands are full.
The Stow-N-Go feature is ingenious, turning
your passenger van into a cargo van in just a few short
minutes
The list of power equipment and features
seem endless, power windows, locks, mirrors, driver's
seat, and tilt wheel are just a few. There is an
Awesome sounding AM/FM/CD/CASSETTE for your listening
pleasure and the A/C is Ice Cold, both front and rear,
cooling the cabin readily even in the HOT Florida sun.
The gray patterned cloth seating
surfaces are clean, fresh, and stain-free. The same
holds true for the carpets, headliner, dash, and all
interior features...Issue-free. Those who suffer from
allergies will appreciate that this SXT is a non-smoker.
No disappointments here.
Mechanically, this Grand Caravan
functions just as well. 1-Owner and only 46,000 miles
make it hard to purchase a problem here. A
Great pedigree, the Dodge name, a legendary 3.8 V6
engine all combine to make for that one of a kind find
we all look for. The ride and drive is smooth and
quiet, just what you'd expect. Once again...No
disappointments here.
We have priced this vehicle below KBB retail

With its troubling sales figures, the newly rechristened SRT Dodge Viper needs to come out swinging for 2015. To do that, Dodge has made a number of tweaks and changes that will hopefully carry the V10-powered sports car into more successful days. First up for 2015 is a new GT model, which aims to marry the reasonable price of the base car with the adjustable suspension and trick stability control program of the GTS model. The GT also sports a cabin that's covered in Alcantara suede and Nappa leather as standard. Also new for 2015 is the SRT TA 2.0 Special Edition, which expands on last year's Viper TA by adding new aerodynamic bits and bobs, including a larger rear wing, which ups downforce at 150 miles per hour from 278 pounds to 400 pounds.

Automakers issue recalls all the time. It's part of the cost of doing business. We just assume that once the recall has been carried out, the problem in question has been fixed. But that's not always the case, as this latest investigation being undertaken by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration goes to show. The problem stems back to a recall issued by Chrysler last summer. It revolved rather the sun visor in the SUVs it makes at its Jefferson North Assembly Plant – specifically, the screw affixing the sun visor could end up rubbing against the wiring for the lamp in the vanity mirror, potentially causing an electrical short and even a fire. 62 such short circuits, 38 fires and three injuries reported, prompting Chrysler to recall nearly 900,000 units of the 2011-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango (over 650,000 of them in the United States). The plastic spacers they installed to rectify the problem, however, may not have done the trick. Eight reports (but none involving injuries) have been filed with the NHTSA regarding the same issue recurring, spurring the government agency to open a new investigation into the matter. If deemed necessary, the NHTSA could ask FCA to issue another recall to fix the issue again, which we may necessitate the installation of a fuze to prevent any such the electric short. Related Video: INVESTIGATION Subject : Headliner Fires Date Investigation Opened: MAY 01, 2015 Date Investigation Closed: Open NHTSA Action Number: RQ15003 Component(s): ELECTRICAL SYSTEM , INTERIOR LIGHTING Manufacturer: Chrysler (FCA US LLC) SUMMARY: On July 1st, 2014 Chrysler (FCA US LLC) issued safety recall 14V-391 to remedy a wiring-related fire hazard on the headliner of approximately 661,888 model year (MY) 2011-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango vehicles manufactured between January 5, 2010 and December 11, 2013. The recall was in response to the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) investigation EA14-001 during which data provided by Chrysler indicates that the fire is caused by an electrical short in the vanity lamp wiring for either one of the sun visors mounted on the vehicle. The sun visors are mounted to the roof of the vehicle through the headliner with three metal screws.

Dodge and Jeep are announcing recalls of a total of 895,000 Durango and Grand Cherokee models worldwide from the 2011 through 2014 model years. There's a possibility that the wiring in the sun visor can short circuit and cause a fire. It specifically affects vehicles built between January 5, 2010, and December 11, 2013, and there are approximately 651,000 of them in the US, 45,700 in Canada, 23,000 in Mexico and 175,000 outside of North America. Screws that fasten the sunvisor to the headliner may pierce wires in the visor, if the part has been removed or serviced, potentially causing a fire risk. If the wires short circuit, they could overheat and potentially combust. The automakers report three injuries caused by this defect, and according to the investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "there may be a total of 52 unique fire incidents." To fix the problem, Dodge and Jeep will inspect the vehicles for suspect wiring, and all of the models, whether damaged or not, will get a new sun visor spacer with a wire guide to stop the possibility of short circuits. According to the automakers' announcement, "this condition is not present in vehicles which have not had the headliner or vanity mirror serviced." They will notify affected owners, and repairs will begin in August.
