For sale I have a rust free 1980 Nissan 280ZX. Automatic transmission, air conditioning, power windows, cruise, power antenna, original am/fm cassette radio. Approximately 150,000 miles. Runs and drives great. I am the third owner I believe. The first 2 owners were brothers. This was a California car for most of it's life. It spent 1 yr. in Michigan, then I brought to Ohio to be restored. The body was taken down to bare metal, then every door, hood, hatch and piece of glass removed to do justice to this classic sports car with a flawless medium metallic blue paint job. Brakes are good, tires are like new.The interior is in good condition. The interior door panels are discolored from the sun. It has the original wheels which have fresh powder coat. I bought this car 2 1/2 yrs ago when I retired with the intention of keeping forever, so I didn't cut corners on any work done. I have pictures documenting all the work. I have 2 daughters getting married (weddings to pay for) , so some toys have to go. All this being said, the car is 33 yrs old, so don't expect a new car. However, I have set a low reserve for quick sale. This is great opportunity to get a very nice sports car for not a whole lot of money. The winning bidder must pay via pay pal a $50.00 nonrefundable deposit within 48 hrs of the auction's end. The balance must be paid in cash within 7 days. If you want to pay with any kind of check, you cannot take possession of the car until the check clears any and all banks involved. Buyer is responsible for shipping and any fees involved. I will make myself available and car available just about anytime with reasonable notice. Malaise Era All-Stars

A few weeks ago, we bid a fond happy 40th anniversary to the automotive dark ages of 1973-84 that have come to be known as "The Malaise Era" - the performance ice-age when 160 horsepower was a lot and a 0-60 time of under 10 seconds was remarkable. Like music in the 1980s, everything in automobiledom didn't suck, however. There were a few bright spots. Here are five of our favorites:

Datsun officially reborn with Go model for India [w/video]

In March of 2012, Nissan announced the return of its historic Datsun brand. Datsun used to represent the Nissan brand in a number of markets, but its badge hasn't been worn on a new model since 1981. In 2013, though, it has been relaunched as the Japanese manufacturer's budget offering in the emerging markets of India and Russia.
The model that will lead that charge, at least in India, is the Go, a car that pays tribute to the very first Datsun, the DAT-GO.
The operative term with the Datsun brand is: "budget offering." Don't step inside the Go and expect beautiful hides or brushed metals (it's being sold in India, after all). The instrument cluster features a simple speedometer, while the five-speed manual and the center stack above it are rather barren. It's not without luxuries, though, as iPod-style connectivity is available through a Mobile Docking Station.
