1979 Datsun 280zx In Very Good Condition on 2040-cars
Williamston, North Carolina, United States
This is a remarkable example of the first year 280ZX coupe. It literally drives and handles like a new Z. All luxury features work: power windows (which includes the "auto" driver's door window-- a one year only feature), a/c, cruise control, etc. It has a nice aftermarket stereo radio with a CD player (and an amp). The body is in very good to excellent condition. There were some minor rust issues, which have been addressed, and painted with primer- at the top of the windshield and the bottom (see photos). The Z has 144,000 miles on it but, literally drives and feels as if it's a new 280ZX. Also, despite being an automatic, acceleration is amazingly quick. The Z feels as if it has twice the horsepower rating. Bid with confidence. I am selling this for a good friend. I own 3 280ZXs, so I know these models quite well. The 280ZX prices are beginning to rise, in the market place. This generation Z is just now coming into it's own as a classic.

Autoblog Podcast #339:
Roadkill pits every project car against each other
Sat, 22 Feb 2014The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.
Datsun debuts new seven-seat Go+ in Indonesia [w/video]
Wed, 18 Sep 2013The Datsun name may have long since been replaced by Nissan, but the old brand is making a comeback - in certain markets, at least. Nissan relaunched the Datsun brand in July as its new budget brand for developing markets with the debut of the Go hatchback, and has now followed up with the addition of the larger Go+.
Set to be built in Indonesia at Nissan's plant in Purwakarta, the Go+ debuts today in the capital of Jakarta as the second model in the new Datsun lineup. The seven-passenger minivan features flexible seating in a compact form 13 feet long, powered by an unspecified 1.2-liter engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
Nissan isn't saying much else about the model, but hopes the new Datsun twins will account for half of its sales in Indonesia within three years. The low price target for both models - set to come in at less than 100 million rupiah ($8,700) - ought to help it get there. The lineup is then scheduled to reach other markets, starting with India, Russia and South Africa next year.
