1977 Datsun 280z No Reserve on 2040-cars
Pocatello, Idaho, United States
Hello again fellow ebayers and "Z" car affectionados ....We are listing again this '77 Z car due to a buyer that was unable to complete the transaction ..PLEASE folks, if you do not intend to follow thru with the purchase, do not bid.. These little Z's are getting harder to find everyday, and especially ones that are not all beat up and run into the ground. This little car runs and drives strong and is a blast to drive, with its 4 speed and torque monster inline six cylinder engine. It was painted several years back and now shows a few spots that could use some touching up, but overall a nice looking ride.. The glass and tires are in good shape as is the interior other than a couple seam tears in the seats. It has a nice after market stereo and speakers. The drivers window cranks hard and probably needs to be taken apart and greased .. This great little daily driver auto is going to the highest bidder.. We are Guradian Auto Sales in Pocatello Id and are at the same location for 20 years now as a licensed and bonded Idaho dealer. There is a $500 non-refundable deposit due 48 hours after close and the balance in 7 days. Questions through ebay email or call us at 208-237-3113 ...Happy bidding and good luck to all .... |

This father and son duo terrorize the UK countryside in Datsun 240Z pair
Wed, 12 Nov 2014The Datsun 240Z got a lot of things right when it was introduced, with handsome styling, strong performance and a reasonably affordable price. And while the coupes grew a strong fan base in the US, they remained quite a rarity in the UK. Decades later, a father and son in England have latched onto the car and bonded over their shared love for two completely opposite takes on this Japanese GT
There's already quite a collection of exotics in Mel Streek's garage, and his rat rod 240Z, which he calls the Ratsun, definitely doesn't fit with the rest. On the outside, the Datsun looks ready to fall apart, but it's mechanically perfect underneath. Alternatively, Mel's son, Ollie, has a completely different take for his Z with its perfect, shining paint.
Both Zs sound amazing, though. They have a mechanical, somewhat course exhaust note that's intoxicating to hear. You can definitely tell there's some work going on under the hood. Check out this video from Petrolicious for a father and son who both find something to love in these classic Japanese coupes.
Datsun officially reborn with Go model for India [w/video]
Mon, 15 Jul 2013In March of 2012, Nissan announced the return of its historic Datsun brand. Datsun used to represent the Nissan brand in a number of markets, but its badge hasn't been worn on a new model since 1981. In 2013, though, it has been relaunched as the Japanese manufacturer's budget offering in the emerging markets of India and Russia.
The model that will lead that charge, at least in India, is the Go, a car that pays tribute to the very first Datsun, the DAT-GO.
The operative term with the Datsun brand is: "budget offering." Don't step inside the Go and expect beautiful hides or brushed metals (it's being sold in India, after all). The instrument cluster features a simple speedometer, while the five-speed manual and the center stack above it are rather barren. It's not without luxuries, though, as iPod-style connectivity is available through a Mobile Docking Station.
