This is my 1974(early) 260Z Sorry about ending the auction and relisting but i forgot to set a reasonable reserve price, someone bid on the aution after 1 min of me adding it, i had to add the reserve and relist. This car is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time This vehicle was manufactured in 1974, as such, it is impossible to describe every scratch small dent, chip ect that exists on the car. There is not enough time in the day for me to describe the entire story of the car or describe every inch of the car. Please come see the car in person, or call me, and I can text you a picture of ANY location on the car. The vehicle is sold as is-where is. No warranty is implied or expressed or given. Shipping arrangements and cost is (are) the responsibility of the buyer. I will help load the vehicle by being home to supervise the lading and securing it on whatever shipping service/method you arrange. I am (will) not be responsible for any shipping delays, damage, problems etc. Once this vehicle leaves my possession it’s the buyer’s responsibility. So please insure it against loss. I can hold the vehicle for 30 days! At no cost to the Buyer! That’s a deal! However I must receive payment first. Paypal Only. No checks please. Odomoter says 51982 Probably 151982 actual mileage I have owned this vehicle for 13 years. Lots to tell about this car and a lot of spare parts come withit. Way too much to type here or explain with a few photos. Bottom line on this car is; one small rust bubble on the rocker and (lower)driver fender. A small rust bubble starting on the pass rocker side. Doors have no rust.Underside of car shows small amount of surface rust on the exposed stone chips ect but NOT SERIOUS AT ALL- original floors, no welded patch panels any where. No hokey fake rust repair or dollar store undercoating meant to disguise rust. _ a true survivor type car. Check out the original spotwelds on the rear wheel wells. Solid body. Texas car stored in a heated garage for last 13 years. Rebuilt engine will (some small amount) need tuning, depending on your altitude above sea level. right now it, is jetted 135 primary, 140 secondary with 55 idle jets, float level has been set at 41-51mm travel …….its running a touch lean….but the summer is on the way ,so a bit lean is good for 40 degrees weather we had today.( have add’l jets that come with the car) Dgv carbs. I have all jets necessary for tweaking . Vehicle is Solid as a rock. One respray since new. Needs paint. As you can see their is primer on the pass side lower fender., this is not a rust repair, it is just a test area to see if I liked the orange paint I picked for the car, stripped off old enamel and primed over never got time to respray the car , also youll notice the cowl panel is not original. Has new (tokico)shocks, springs in the front .Poly bushings too. Have springs and shocks for back.(but they are not installed yet. They of course come with the car along with SS brake hoses.) Rear quarters are rust free. Still have original spot welds. Floor is same. This car is rarely seen in this condition. Period. I have been working on these cars for 15 years and have never seen one in the same condition ,If you have been searching for a rock solid Z this may be it. 91 octane only, head has been “shaved” .009…runs smooooooth on 91 octane, I have never tried 87 octane in the car, and don’t plan on it. I calculate compression around 9.5 :1, has oversize pistons and new fresh valve springs, valve seals and guides. I setup the valvetrain personally using the proper method for adjusting wipe pattern on the lash pads ect……Good 5 angle valve job. I would prefer that you come and see for yourself. Also give me a call for all the info. We can talk for an hour. I know a lot about z cars, and can help with additional pictures of anything you want to see. I have new thresholds door handles and quarter emblems that are included. Sorry but way to much to list. 7169559893 Aaron.(send a text if you want to request a specific picture, or if your shy and just don’t want to talk) Thanks for looking Received a few questions about the car. I am selling because I've been traveling for work a lot. In the last 5 years I have been away from home over 3 summers. The car has never seen a winter since I have owned it starting in 1999, so I have been unable to use the car since 2007. In 2007 it ran like a dream. But I needed to give it some TLC over the winters so, In 2009 I rebuilt the carbs changed to, the eletric fuel pump, and pressure regulator. Currently running 3PSI with a return loop fuel line.It starts and runs fine. I just recently adjusted the valve clearance, and installed new rocker arm springs, for that “like new “valve train sound. The car has a Monza header and exhaust system and is a blast to drive. Can start right up and load on your trailer ect. 5 speed trans out of a 280z. New front ball joints and tie rod ends(genuine MOOG) and superperformance urethane bushings in the front So will need and alignment before driving. Needs 4 tires also. Have all parts. but front bumper is a little dented and ugly Have a other good condition rear bumper with an over rider comes with it. Front skirt is great shape and is inside the cabin also included is NOS genuine Nissan threshold plates, door handles and “z” quarter emblems for that finished look after you get it painted. Only reason I'm selling is I expect to travel this summer as well. I probably will not ever get a chance to enjoy the car. I have an extensive spare parts cash that’s comes with it. Oh I also have a NOS seat cover for the pass seat ,which has a small tear. The car does not include a battery. That is the battery for my boat, Im just using it for now. the e-brake funtions as it should, brakes feel a little soft but def ok to drive, but this car has been in storage for at least 6 years so please check everything out before you decide to drive it cross-country. also rear hatch lock will need to be replaced.

Datsun expands low-cost revival with new Mi-Do in Moscow [w/video]
Fri, 29 Aug 2014Those who were disappointed when Datsun changed its name to Nissan over three decades ago may have been pleased to see the marque revived last year, even as a budget brand. Nissan's counterpart to its ally Renault's Dacia budget brand, Datsun has been steadily expanding its lineup of low-cost transportation for developing markets with the debut of the Go hatchback in India, the Go+ minivan in Indonesia and the On-Do sedan in Russia. And now it has returned to Moscow to reveal its fourth model, the Mi-Do.
Based closely on the On-Do sedan (which itself is based on the Lada Granta) the Mi-Do takes on a five-door hatchback bodystyle but with no more frills. It uses the same front-drive chassis with the same wheelbase as the sedan, but its chopped tail makes it a good foot and a half shorter overall. Into that compact shape, Datsun has fitted dual airbags, ABS and... well, that's about it. It's got a 1.6-liter, eight-valve inline-four kicking out a grand total of 87 horsepower to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic. Bare bones, this is.
While delivery of the first On-Do sedans commences next month (with the first example going to an IT specialist in Omsk), the Mi-Do is set to begin delivery early next year. Scope out the video and press release below from the Mi-Do's reveal at the Moscow Motor Show.
Nissan IDx 'in the plan' for production, needs support from fans [w/poll]
Wed, 15 Jan 2014If there's a trend in the auto industry we can firmly get behind, it's the small, light and affordable rear-drive coupe. The positive critical reception to the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ twins has encouraged other manufacturers to look at building their own rear drivers, and even a few to show actual concept cars based on the idea. The Chevrolet Code 130R from 2012 and more recently, the Nissan IDx twins that were first shown at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show both come to mind, as does the brand-new Kia GT4 Stinger Concept.
Nissan trotted out the IDx Nismo and the IDx Freeflow for another showing in Detroit and we'll admit to being totally smitten with both cars. Again. The duo draw inspiration from the iconic Datsun 510, a lightweight, affordable rear-driver that remains a cult favorite decades after production ended.
Now, a report from our friends at AutoWeek reveals that we may, possibly, hopefully see a production IDx, provided fans make a strong enough case for it. "It's in the plan," Nissan product boss Andy Palmer told AW. According to the report, Palmer said the IDx is "into the first sage of the development process. The next stage is project validation and then looking at the business case. It's no one's intent to waste millions of the company's money, so obviously we have a good feeling about this one."
37K miles in a 1967 Datsun Roadster
Tue, 11 Mar 2014When we think of comfy, long-distance road cars, there are a few obvious choices. A Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Bentley Continental GT or, assuming fuel efficiency isn't paramount, a Range Rover are all good options for a road trip. But what if that road trip was 37,000 miles? Maybe something more reliable but still comfortable, then, like a Honda Accord. What about a 1967 Datsun Roadster?
As insane as it sounds, Scott Fisher is doing just that, running a Datsun 1600 Roadster across North America and racking up 13,500 miles in his first three months on the road. His total journey will see him pile over 37,000 miles on his red convertible. The car is lightly modified, but most of the work is for the sake of reliability and comfort, with a five-speed manual 'box, an upgraded radiator and electronic ignition.
Fisher's trip hasn't been all smooth, with a few typical bits of trouble. He also ran into some deer in Utah, quite literally, clipping one of the animals, which delivered quite a bit of damage to the passenger's front fender (hence the rear three-quarter view in our lead shot). Still, the car seems to be holding up well, as shown in this latest video from Petrolicious.
