I have owned this 240z for about two years. I bought it from a man who had it stored for about twelve years. It is very rare to find one with as little rust as this one. A local z car expert has looked it over and regards it to be a very clean and in very good condition.

Here is a basic list of what I have already done to the car;

completely new brake system(all except the booster- no problems there)
the fuel tank has been professionally cleaned by the most reputable shop in Marietta
I have rebuilt all light switches in the steering column-works great
all fluids have been flushed and changed.
plugs have been cleaned and gaped
points have been cleaned
all new cap, rotor, and wires
all new fuel hoses and filter
changed gear oil

The car runs and drives fine. I believe there is a universal joint on the drive shaft with some play in it but seems to have plenty of life left. The only bad thing we can say about the car is that the floor boards have been bent from what appears to be misplacement of jacks and jackstands.
This damage goes from the front edge of the seats to the fire wall. The z car specialist that I had look at the car said if it was his he wouldn't even bother fixing it. I happened to find replacement floor pans with heavier duty frame rails and front frame rails on the internet for very cheap.
Also the center console of the dash is damaged. Any parts that seem to be missing in the pictures also come with the car. I simply don't have time, or the space for a toy like this. I did the best I could with the pics to show any damage. You will notice a few primer spots in the epics. These are not rust repairs- just superficial dings.
VIN number available if needed.

The buyer will be responsible for all shipping from my driveway to theirs. Payment in full is required before the car will move. Let my failed relationship be your gain!

Datsun officially reborn with Go model for India [w/video]

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

In March of 2012, Nissan announced the return of its historic Datsun brand. Datsun used to represent the Nissan brand in a number of markets, but its badge hasn't been worn on a new model since 1981. In 2013, though, it has been relaunched as the Japanese manufacturer's budget offering in the emerging markets of India and Russia.
The model that will lead that charge, at least in India, is the Go, a car that pays tribute to the very first Datsun, the DAT-GO.
The operative term with the Datsun brand is: "budget offering." Don't step inside the Go and expect beautiful hides or brushed metals (it's being sold in India, after all). The instrument cluster features a simple speedometer, while the five-speed manual and the center stack above it are rather barren. It's not without luxuries, though, as iPod-style connectivity is available through a Mobile Docking Station.

Meet the man who took a year sabbatical to drive his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

A quiet drive in the country can be the most relaxing thing in the world. What if it didn't have to end, and you could keep driving for a week, a month or even a whole year? That's what Scott Fisher is doing by taking a one-year sabbatical from work and driving his 1967 Datsun Fairlady Roadster around North America.
"I had owned a manufacturing business in Las Vegas for 16 years. I knew I needed to kinda' get out, and unwind, and get my mojo back," said Fisher.
Fisher's trip has covered over 30,000 miles through 44 states and 7 Canadian Provinces, and it is not over yet. He left from his home in Las Vegas, NV, last spring and drove to the Pacific. From there, he drove up the coast to the Canadian border and aimed the car for the Atlantic. He just posted on his blog about visiting the Nissan headquarters and museum in Franklin, TN, and his next stops are Mississippi and New Orleans, LA.
