Selling 1972 Datsun 240z. I don't know much about this car as it was payment for an old debt. I do know it has 5 speed, and from what previous owner said an upgraded differential from stock. The interior is complete, except for carpet. The car does not have the bumpers, carbs or side mirror. The head is supposedly modified (racing red shims, shaved head) to make this a high compression motor. The car does have a 6-1 header. Some of the parts of the car have been removed for inspection. Rust areas are the floorpans, battery tray area, small spot on driver's side wheel well and surface rust in spare tire area. The body (for the year) is in good shape. I have been told the sum of the parts is greater than the car, but will not separate.

The car is being sold locally, so reserve right to end listing early.

Datsun to unveil second model later this month

Datsun, Nissan's new sub-brand for emerging markets, has announced plans to unveil its second model. Its first, the Go, was unveiled almost two months ago, and promised affordable, connected motoring for five in a handsome hatchback body. Datsun is following that up with a pair of new models for Indonesia.
The first of these two new vehicles will be shown on September 17 in Jakarta, eschewing the typical auto show debut. It's targeted at so-called "risers," the nickname for a group of highly aspirational customers in the Indonesian market. Datsun developed it locally with help from Nissan, and it'll cost under 100 million Indonesian rupiah (about $8,900 at today's rates).

Roadkill pits every project car against each other

The guys behind Motor Trend's monthly Roadkill series have collected nine of their favorite project cars from their videos and pitted them against each other in a battle royale to determine a winner. It's 44 minutes long, but it's completely worth the investment of time.
The cars run the gamut from a 1973 Chevrolet Ramp Truck, a 1975 AMC Pacer and a legitimately impressive 1967 Chevy Camaro, and they are pitted against each other to see which is the fastest around an autocross course. The drivers include Roadkill's two hosts and Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman and Carlos Lago. It's reminiscent of the best episodes of Top Gear and worth a watch.
So it's the weekend - the perfect time to relax. Grab your preferred beverage, get comfortable and enjoy 44 minutes of some seriously ratty but utterly cool project cars as they are throttled within an inch of their lives (or past it). Scroll down to check out the video.
