Ramp Van For Wheelchair - 2002 Chrysler Town & Country on 2040-cars
Franksville, Wisconsin, United States
My parents bought this van 3 years ago for
$16,000. We are looking to get $8000 or best offer, so will need to adjust the starting price to add our ebay costs, in the event it would sell. It served them well in allowing both my mom and dad to get
around. They used it for just over 6,000 miles of it's now total of
68,800 miles. It is in good shape and works well. Both of my parents
are gone now, and the family is hoping it can serve someone else as well
as it has served my parents. It was once sold by Mobility Works in
Waukesha, as it still has it's stickers in the window. The only cosmetic
blemish on the exterior is on the rear bumper, some of the paint is
peeling off. On the inside, the cup holder was broken, but I am sure
that it could be replaced, we just haven't. There are two seats in the
font row, but both I understand are easily removable. The seats are on
rollers and can be unlocked and come out if the wheelchair needs to go
on either side of the front. The second row of seats was removed to
accommodate the wheelchair. All the straps and tie-downs are there,
easily hooked to the frame of the wheelchair, and automatically retract
to keep everyone secure. The third row seats are still in the van, so it
is possible to have passengers, in addition. Everything is electronic,
the ramp and side doors, as well as the tailgate. There are 2 remotes
that come with the van. My apologies for the litter in the photos. I am
sure we can have it cleaned prior to your purchase. The floor of the area where the wheelchair is tied down appears to have plastic covering the carpeting. This is one of 2
vans we are selling. You may contact my brother, Rick, at 262-835-2315
to make an appointment to see the van, or you can call me, Dawn, at
262-994-4909. He has the van, I have the title. If you are serious, you
may want to arrange it with me, since I hold the title. He could show
you the van, though.

Chrysler recalls 162,000 Pacifica minivans over stalling fears
Sat, Jan 13 2018Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said on Friday it was recalling more than 162,000 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivans because a software glitch may cause the vehicles to stall. The Italian-American automaker said one accident had potentially been linked to the defect. Under a rare set of conditions, a vehicle's engine control module may incorrectly assess the engine's operating status and cause it to stall, Fiat Chrysler said. Dealers will update the engine control software, the company said, adding that most incidents associated with the glitch took place at low speeds or when the vehicles were starting up. The Center for Auto Safety, a consumer advocacy group, petitioned the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in November to investigate the issue after it said at least 50 owners had reported stalling in new Pacifica minivans. The agency asked Fiat Chrysler to answer questions about the stalling last month. Fiat Chrysler said it had begun investigating the issue before the petition was filed. The recall includes nearly 154,000 vehicles in the United States and more than 8,000 others around the world, but the company did not immediately say when the new software would be available. Hybrid gas-electric versions of the minivans are not included in the recall. (Reporting by David Shepardson; Editing by Tom Brown)Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. KBB 2013 Brand Image Awards has some obvious and oddball winners
Sat, 30 Mar 2013The sixth edition of the Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Awards have crowned a wide range of winners - in a couple of cases the recipient of the laurels might say more about KBB users than they do about the actual winner. Compiled from the responses of more than 12,000 shoppers on KBB.com over the past year, there are 13 categories broken into non-luxury, luxury and truck segments "representing the combined wisdom of the American car-buying public."
The award categories have been revamped this year, with some dropping off, some new ones appearing and at least one other given a new term. What isn't surprising is that Honda won Most Trusted Brand for the second year running, Best Value Brand for the third year in a row and took Best Overall Brand, which wasn't on last year's list of awards.
On our own shores, in the non-luxury categories Chrysler got Most Refined Brand and Buick took Best Value Luxury Brand. Neither one of those marques won anything in last year's Brand Image Awards, while Cadillac, which won Best Interior Design Brand and Best Comfort Brand last year - those awards disappeared this year - went home without a single accolade.
Chrysler 300 Glacier edition ready to chill with AWD
Sat, 19 Jan 2013It seems that word is finally out on the redone Chrysler 300, as evidenced by the fact that the model's sales almost doubled last year compared to 2011 (when the distinctive sedan was a little slow out of the gates). One thing that's likely helping the car is a growing number of unique models like the 300S, 300 SRT8 and the new 300C John Varvatos Luxury Edition, and now one more trim has joined the lineup. Initially announced back in September, the 300 Glacier is on sale now with a starting price of $36,845 (*not including a $995 destination charge).
Designed with cold-weather climates in mind, the 300 Glacier is only available with all-wheel drive. Chrysler says the Glacier will run an additional $1,500 over the 300S AWD off which this car is based, but that extra money gets unique 19-inch aluminum wheels, an exclusive Glacier Blue Pearl Coat paint job and special interior treatments including piano black accents and fancier leather seats and stitching. Like the 300S, power from the Pentastar V6 has been bumped up to an even 300 horsepower (up from 292 hp) with the aid of a cold-air induction and freer-breathing exhaust. Naturally, the 363-hp Hemi V8 is still available, too.
