We purchased this van used on 11/06/04 when it had 59936 miles on it. It has been serviced at the same shop every 3000 mi. and anything that needed fixed was done at that time. The tires have aprox. 1/2 tread left, the brakes are recent, the timing & water pump belts are recent, the transmission is good, engine does not use any oil between changes. There is a check engine light that stays on & has been checked out to be a vapor leak somewhere that would cost to much to find for a vehicle this old, also a seat belt light that stays on, same thing. There are 4 or 5 small rust spots on the rear lift door and one on the left front fender at the wheel well. The van is in very good condition overall. The van has almost all of the options that Chrysler came out with on the Limited Edition in 2002 except the sun roof and a dvd player. There are four bucket seats with the front two being power operated and heated, the third seat is a bench type seat and can seat three for a total of seven people. All seats are leather and do not have any rips or tears. The second and third row seats can be removed if needed for space. We often took out the rear seat when on vacation. Both side doors and the rear lift gate door are power with remote controls as well as inside controls. The am/fm ,cd and tape players all work fine & there are rear controls for the heat & air . The van will be sold as is where is and must be picked up by the buyer with cash or cashiers check in hand. There is to be a $250.00 deposit made to pay- pal within 24 hours of sale ending. |

Chrysler Recalling 870,000 SUVs For Brake Defect
Wed, Apr 2 2014Chrysler is recalling nearly 870,000 SUVs because corrosion may make the vehicles' brakes harder to use. Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs from the 2011 through 2014 model years are involved. Chrysler says crimp joints in the brake boosters can corrode if they're exposed to water. If the water freezes, the boosters won't aid braking as they usually do. Chrysler began investigating after some customers said their brakes felt too firm when pressed down. The company knows of one accident, but no injuries, due to the defect. Dealers will install a shield to protect the boosters for free and replace boosters that aren't working properly. Chrysler has since changed the design to make the boosters more corrosion resistant. Chrysler will notify owners of the recall, which involves 867,795 vehicles. Mopar-modified Chrysler 200 reappears in Chicago
Fri, 07 Feb 2014Chrysler made what was one of the biggest debuts of the 2014 North American International Auto Show last month when it debuted the heavily redesigned 200. While impressive on its own, the sleek sedan's Mopar counterpart, which was tucked away in a corner during the Detroit show, adds even more visual flair.
Based on the Chrysler 200S, the showcar had already benefitted from Lunar White Tricoat paint and meaty, 19-inch wheels (now in Satin Lite Bronze finish). White leather seats with bronze stitching accented the cabin treatment.
For Chicago, Chrysler added a Mopar body kit and new upper and lower grilles, both of which give the four-door a considerably more menacing look. The rear fascia is set off by a new bumper and a revised set of exhaust tips. The cabin is unchanged from the Detroit car.
FCA recalls Fiat 500e to fix cruise control
Thu, Jun 11 2015Fiat is recalling almost 4,000 of its 500e electric vehicles because of a malfunction related to the model's cruise-control feature. The glitch causes the car's powertrain to be put into neutral under certain situations. It's the second recall on the 500e this year. Specifically, Chrysler-Fiat is recalling 3,975 cars. The issue is that the car's system can misread the motor's torque figures in cruise control, causing the sprightly EV to mistakenly shift into neutral in what was designed as a safety-precaution measure. The good news is that restarting the vehicle gets the car back to normal, but being dropped into neutral in highway mode is certainly no fun. Chrysler-Fiat said in a statement this week that it was "unaware" of injuries, accidents, or customer complaints caused by the issue. In April, the 500e was subject to a recall that impacted about 5,600 vehicles and stemmed from a March 2015 update. The update allowed the car to go into so-called "Limp Home Mode" to better extend range. The problem is that it inadvertently caused the car to stall. Range anxiety, indeed. A review of warranty data led to an investigation by FCA US LLC engineers. The investigation discovered certain Fiat 500e hatchbacks were inadvertently equipped with software that may misread torque levels generated by their motors, causing them to shift into neutral – a prescribed failsafe mode. This condition may occur only while cruise-control is engaged and the driver attempts to override the feature with accelerator-pedal applications or rapid tapping of the accelerate/decelerate buttons. Restarting the vehicle restores normal function. The campaign is limited to certain model-year 2013-2015 vehicles. The Company is unaware of any related injuries, accidents or customer complaints. New software will be available when affected customers are advised of this action by FCA US. Service instructions are being sent to FCA US dealers today.
