You are bidding on a very nice 2005 Chrysler Town & Country, Touring Edition with the Braun Entervan handicap lowered-floor handicapped conversion package. This van has only 49,299 miles on it. The van has NO paintwork, NO body damage and NO rust. It is powered by the strong and dependable 3.8 liter V-6 engine and automatic transmission.
The paint is still very bright and shiny. There are a few minor rock chips and scratches as you would expect, but nothing major. You will have to hunt to even find a minor "door ding" in this van. The tires have about 70% tread left on them and are wearing evenly and smoothly. The interior shows virtually no wear at all! There are no holes, tears or rips anywhere in the cloth seats, carpeting or headliner.
The Entervan conversion was done by The Braun Corp, themselves professionally as you can see. The conversion package includes: A lowered floor from in-front of the rear seat to the firewall, power opening passenger's side door, power folding wheelchair ramp, removable front seats on wheels, wheelchair anchoring points thru-out the van, power kneeling system and wireless remote control for the ramp and door. The van has dual climate control, power windows, power locks, power driver's seat, tilt, cruise, am/fm/cd, front and rear A/C, luggage rack and more. The van appears to have never been smoked in.
The van is in perfect mechanical shape with only slight wear. This van needs virtually nothing at all. This van has no leaks, drips or issues. It does not smoke and it shifts out solidly and smoothly on the freeway. There are no shakes or wobbles at 70 mph on the freeway. THIS VAN IS READY TO BE DRIVEN ANYWHERE AND BE ENJOYED. All the power and electronic equipment work like new. The air conditioning is ice cold and the heater warm and toasty. There are just no known problems with this vehicle.
I will have it detailed and awaiting the winning bidder. I will also be happy to pick you up at any local airport or bus station, just let me know when and where. I can also help you arrange to have it shipped to you, if you wish. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me via e-mail or you can call me at (650) 218-Six-Zero-Zero-Three.

Junkyard Gem: 1989 Chrysler TC by Maserati
Sun, Nov 27 2022Lee Iacocca's friendship with Alejandro de Tomaso went way back, and it led to the Ford-powered De Tomaso Pantera being born in 1971 (when Iacocca was running Ford). After Iacocca moved over to head Chrysler in 1978, he began working with de Tomaso (who owned Maserati by that point) to develop a sports coupe based on the Chrysler-salvation K-Car platform. It took quite a while, but eventually that car became reality: the Chrysler TC by Maserati (officially known as Chrysler's TC by Maserati). Some 7,300 were built through 1991, and I've found one of them in a Denver-area car graveyard. I've managed to document four of these cars in their final parking spots prior to this one, in wrecking yards in Colorado, California, and Wisconsin. The Chrysler's TC by Maserati does have a devoted following, but they can't save 'em all. The TC really was assembled by Maserati in Italy, but the underlying chassis was taken from the Dodge Daytona. The body bore a strong resemblance to that of the Chrysler LeBaron GTC, which was unfortunate considering the price difference between the two cars: the MSRP on the 1989 TC was $33,000, while the LeBaron GTC cost $17,435 (that's about $80,880 and $42,730 in 2022 dollars). The TC had three different engines driving the front wheels over its short lifetime: two varieties of turbocharged Chrysler 2.2 four-cylinder (one with 160 horsepower and one with a Cosworth cylinder head with 200 horsepower) and that good old workhorse of a Mitsubishi V6: the 6G72, with 141 horses. This car has the 160hp 2.2. The Cosworth-headed cars (500 were built) got a five-speed manual transmission, but the other 6,800 TCs got a Chrysler slushbox of either three or four speeds (this one is a three-speed). There was a lot of snobbish disapproval of the TC by the automotive press, but just look at that interior! Even the most over-the-top LeBaron never got this level of swank inside.  Every time I write about one of these cars, I hear that the factory hardtop roof is worth fantastic money… but four out of the five examples I've found in junkyards had the hardtop, and I think every single one went to the crusher with its car. How many miles? Not many! Maybe the speedometer cable broke in 1995. The radio and HVAC controls are straight LeBaron, but the wood and leather are the real thing.
Chrysler files for IPO
Tue, 24 Sep 2013Chrysler has had a lot of owners over the past few years alone, from Daimler to Cerberus to Fiat and the federal government. But it could be poised to gain some more before long. Like, a lot more.
The automaker has just announced that it has filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to issue an Initial Public Offering of common stocks. Chrysler hasn't revealed how many shares will be offered and at what price, however the shares in question will not come out of Fiat's approximate 60% majority shareholding but instead out of the 40% minority stock held by the UAW's VEBA retiree healthcare trust. Reports suggest that the IPO, which is being handled by JP Morgan, could encompass approximately 16% of Chrysler stock, initially valued at approximately $100 million.
Lest you think this is all part of Sergio Marchionne's grand plan to consolidate Chrysler and Fiat, the two auto groups over which he presides, think again. The filing, which still needs to be approved by the SEC, comes at the insistence of the UAW. Negotiations between Marchionne's management team and the union over Fiat's acquisition of the VEBA shares have stalled. If they manage to come to an agreement, however, the IPO would likely be taken off the table. So don't go calling your broker just yet, but you can analyze the official announcement below.
Chrysler 200 subtitles performance in latest round of advertising
Mon, 27 Oct 2014Every once in a while, we come across a car video narrated in a foreign language and subtitled in English. They usually center on foreign-made automobiles, but this latest series of videos comes straight from Detroit.
Airing for the first time during's NFL broadcasts, these four commercials for the 2015 Chrysler 200 were produced by Wieden + Kennedy Portland - the same advertising firm that created the now-legendary Eminem spot for the last-generation 200.
Each clip in the "Ready to Take on the World" campaign highlights a different aspect of the American sedan and is narrated in Japanese, German or Swedish - each with English subtitles - associating the 200's Japanese level of quality, German performance and Swedish safety standards. But while the clips are ostensibly set in Japan, Germany and Sweden, Automotive News reports that they were actually filmed at home in the US.
