zillion more photos below... plus a video of the van en route, driven by the afore mentioned old lady.  (see below)
THIS VAN IS FOR SALE LOCALLY.  I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION EARLY IF A NEIGHBOR NABS IT FIRST.

81K absurdly low original miles.  Kneeling wheelchair van. Fully automatic power ramp deployment, plus the van kneels low to the ground for easier ramp and curbside access.
Remote Keyless Entry.  10" lowered floor for maximum head room.

Removable pedestal captains seats - accommodate any powerchair seating arrangement, etc.
Dual Side-Entry Sliding Cargo Doors (makes passenger access, cargo loading, and tie-downs far easier).

Great on Gas, Runs Great, Everything Works, Very Comfortable on long trips.

SMOKE FREE:  This van has NEVER been exposed to cigarette smoke.  Nope, nada.
NO WIERD SMELLS, none.  I can't stand odors... so you won't have to either!

PROFESSIONALLY DETAILED:  This van was in use with a service dog (short haired Lab).
Therefore, I just had the van Spotlessly Cleaned and DETAILED (inside & out) by our local dealership prior to this sale.
I've had it detailed every year since I've owned it.  All years considered, it's purdy dang clean.

NEW WINDSHIELD:  The windshield was very pitted and recently took a bad ding from a rock... so, I had my dealership install a brand new one a week ago.

LIKE NEW TIRES:  Approx one season on 'em... far more than 70% tread, smooth ride, quiet!  The hub caps are somewhat tortured by city curbs (via its rural driver - Shhh, I know).

BTW: Just installed its winter vinyl-floormat that protects the cargo floor from snow and wet power wheelchair tires.  The mat is screwed to the floor to seasonally protect carpet - Thus, the carpet underneath is in nearly mint condition.   Just realized I didn't have its winter-matt in place during the photo/video shoot.... arrrgh.  I will add photo's of the vinyl mat asap.

LOOK CLOSELY => NO RUST  (clean Wyoming roads) and its factory undercoating has it still looking fabulous inside and out
NO ACCIDENTS - no floods, no no no!  No salted roads = No Ocean SALT either: unlike most mid-west and coastal vehicles.

Body has earned a variety of nicks, dings and scratches from normal wear - Front left bumper has most significant visible scratch - photo's show all.
There are NO cracked or broken plastics, lenzes, lights, latches, hinges, etc.
Upholstery (front / back) is in Tip Top Condition, NO STAINS, NO Rips NO Tears, NO broken down padding / springs.

NO accidents, No damage. Clean title.

Why am I selling this?  My son bought this van for me for Christmas several years ago - and then he managed high school and early university years without a vehicle of his own.  I find myself driving too infrequently to justify this inequity any longer.  This van is going to magically turn into a kewl pickup truck for my long deserving youngun.  Yep, seriously... he is that guy, and he's that cool too.

Please email any questions or concerns. I will answer all inquiries immediately.
Able to show any day if you would like to come take a look and drive it before auction end.

UAW ratifies FCA contract

Thu, Oct 22 2015

The second time was apparently the charm for the proposed contract between the United Auto Workers and FCA US as 77 percent of union members have ratified the four-year deal, it was announced Thursday. "This agreement represents an investment in our US workforce and recognizes its contributions to the company's growth over the past six years." the automaker said in a statement. Now, the UAW must move forward on new arrangements with Ford and General Motors. After members rejected the original offer, UAW president Dennis Williams (pictured above, right) was positive about the new deal's acceptance. "The resolve of our membership and the dedication of our negotiating team has produced an agreement that affords UAW members a strong wage package and job security while still allowing the company to competitively produce high quality vehicles for our customers," he said in a statement. In contrast to the last offer, the new contract largely eliminates the two-tier wage system, and it's now it's possible to attain the same $29 per hour pay over eight years of employment. According to the Detroit Free Press, the deal also no longer limits FCA US from hiring entry-level workers. The original plan for a healthcare co-op across the Detroit automakers is also axed from the latest arrangement. While the strategy was supposed to lower costs, the potential changes weren't explained well to union members, and they rejected it. UAW FCA MEMBERS RATIFY NEW CONTRACT Featured / Negotiations / October 22, 2015 DETROIT – The members have voted to ratify a new four-year collective bargaining agreement with FCA by a 77% majority. The results of the voting are as follows: • Production workers – 77% • Skilled Trades – 72% • Salaried Bargaining Unit – 87% President Williams stated, "The recent bargaining process that took place on behalf of our members at FCA is a testament to the UAW's democratic values and commitment to our members. The resolve of our membership and the dedication of our negotiating team has produced an agreement that affords UAW members a strong wage package and job security while still allowing the company to competitively produce high quality vehicles for our customers." "UAW members at FCA have obtained a strong agreement that provides substantial wage gains, fairness in the workplace, and job security.

China own a Detroit automaker? Would the U.S. let that happen?

Tue, Aug 15 2017

The news that several Chinese automakers want to buy Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and that one has even made an offer, elicits some mixed feelings. On one hand, as some have pointed out, it could be a win-win both for China and for FCA's American workers, ensuring the company's survival and opening new markets. On the other hand, this is China, whose trade relationship with the U.S. is the source of considerable scrutiny from the Trump administration — and whose not-a-friend, not-an-enemy status is particularly difficult to gauge right now during heightened tensions with its client state North Korea. So would such a deal pass regulatory muster? One reason that springs to mind for blocking any sale has to do with national security. Chrysler's role as a military supplier dates back to Dodge trucks used by Gen. Blackjack Pershing to chase Pancho Villa in Mexico, and shortly thereafter by American forces in World War I. The Detroit Three automakers were, of course, mainstays of the Arsenal of Democracy of World War II. Even before U.S. entry into the war in December 1941, America's industrial machinery went into overdrive, and Chrysler was one of the biggest cogs. It engineered and built the M3, Sherman and Pershing tanks and trucks for Gen. George Patton's Redball Express. It helped develop a radar-guided antiaircraft gun that knocked German bombers and V1 rockets out of the sky — on one day, shooting down 97 of 101 V1s headed for London. On D-Day, the radar system helped thwart Luftwaffe counterattacks on the beaches of Normandy, and it later helped Allied forces break out at the Battle of the Bulge. Chrysler redesigned the Wright Cyclone engines used by the Boeing B-29 Superfortress, the plane that firebombed Tokyo and dropped the atomic bombs that ended the war. Chrysler even played a secret role refining uranium in Oak Ridge, Tenn., that was used in the Hiroshima bomb and in the ensuing Cold War arms race. It worked on military missiles and was NASA's prime contractor for the Saturn V rocket that put men on the moon. More recently, Chrysler produced the M1 Abrams tank. And of course Chrysler is the keeper of the flame for Jeep, a 75-plus-years military legacy handed down from Bantam and Willys to Kaiser to AMC to Chrysler. The point of this history lesson is to note that in times of war or national emergency, America's industrial might has been called to serve, and may well be called on again.

Fiat GIF-based ads make our heads spin

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

Take a good, long look at the image above. Don't worry, it's completely real; you're not hallucinating. Would you believe that's an actual screencap from an actual ad commissioned by Fiat that's airing on actual television? Believe it.
The commercials started as a series of animated GIFs from The Richards Group for Fiat's Tumblr page, according to Adweek. Chrysler's Chief Marketing Officer reportedly liked them enough that he had them cut into ads for TV. The result is a combination of Internet meme heaven that includes the above horse mask and "Deal with it," animation, experimental filmmaking, cats, a person in a bunny suit twerking on a Fiat 500 and more general bizarreness.
Whatever your opinion on them, you have to admit that the advertising is certainly attention grabbing. Imagine looking up at the TV form your tablet to catch a glimpse of this weirdness. If you don't like them, Fiat is even giving people the chance to do a better job. Its Tumblr is open to submissions of new GIFs, which could lead to some very inappropriate and potentially hilarious results given the way that the Internet often works.
