Now that I have my new Chrysler 200 “S” Hardtop Convertible my previous car needs a new good home. My 2002 Chrysler Sebring “Limited” Convertible (Stone White with rare Dark Blue soft top) has always been kept in my garage.  I am the original owner and purchased it new in late 2001 at “John Irish Chrysler” in San Rafael, CA.  The odometer has clocked 46,409 miles and the car is in very desirable condition (I keep my cars pampered and well cared for at Putnam Chrysler, Burlingame, CA).  I receive regular complements on how immaculate I keep this car.  If you are in the mood for a wonderful top down experience (I’m talking about driving the car…keep your minds focused) or top up with all 4 windows lowered for that “pillarless” look, then please make an offer.  I don’t have room to keep this beautiful fun-to-drive car, and it needs someone who wants to care for it.  Here are a few detailed highlights:

Fully Loaded “Limited” including features such as:

·        Exterior: Stone White Clear Coat

·        Dark Blue Cloth Power Top with Glass Rear Window Defroster

·        Cream Top Boot Cover (never used)

·        Interior: Royal Blue / Cream Premium Leather Trimmed Bucket Seat Interior

·        2.7L V6 DOHC 24 Valve MPI

·        4-Speed Automatic 41TE “AutoStick” Transmission

·        AM/FM Radio In-Dash 4 Disc CD Changer

·        Leather Wrapped Shift Know and Steering Wheel

·        6-Way Power Driver Seat

·        Intermittent Windshield Wipers

·        Fog Lamps

·        16 Inch Aluminum Chrome Wheels

·        Bright Exhaust Tip

·        Traveler / Mini Trip Computer

·        Headlamp Off Time Delay

·        Anti-Lock 4 Wheel Disc Brakes

·        Keyless Illuminated Entry

·        Power Auto Central Locks

·        Full Size Spare Tire with Matching Wheel

·        Power Trunk Lid Release

·        Cold Weather Group w/Battery & Engine Block Heater

·        Folding Mirrors

·        Universal Garage Door Opener

Additionally in 2001 I purchased an extra set of original matching Floor Mats (with “Limited” embroidered into the carpet) which have never been taken out of their original packaging.  The front License Plate Bracket has also never been used and is in new condition along with the never used Soft Top Boot Cover.  Original Specification Tires and new Battery were recently installed along with regular service by Putnam Chrysler.  The Passenger Seat has rarely been used, and the Back Seat almost never.  The Trunk interior is pristine.

See the pictures.

Thank you for your interest and Take Care.

Canada bailed out GM, Chrysler without really knowing what they were getting into

Tue, Dec 2 2014

The Auditor General of Canada recently issued a report that makes at least one thing clear: it doesn't know how effective Canadian government loans given to General Motors and Chrysler in 2009 were in ensuring the viability of both companies. That year, the Canadian and Ontario governments dished out $10.8 billion CAD ($9.6B US) to GM and $2.9 billion CAD ($2.6B US) to Chrysler, but hadn't yet sorted out precisely how the funds were to be used before disbursing them. This happened in spite of the fact that, according to a piece in Bloomberg, the loans weren't meant to be handed out until authorities were clear on the manufacturers' plans for reorganization. In fact, federal officials hadn't finished establishing the concessions made by all the involved parties, the pension liabilities, nor the long-term soundness of the automakers' financial positions. On top of that, apparently it didn't keep close tabs on the money after loaning it: the report says that $1B CAD should have been applied to GM Canada pension plans but was instead given to GM to use. Chrysler repaid $1.7 billion, while GM handed back $3.8 billion and Bloomberg believes the feds in Ottawa still own 110 million shares of The General, which, at the stock price as of writing, would be good for another $3.9 billion. Those were mad, bad days, though, and we're not sure what point the report serves, other than to say, "Oh, by the way...." Chrysler museum to open one last time on June 8

Thu, 18 Apr 2013

Due to a lack of funding, Chrysler closed the doors to its Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, MI back in December, but it sounds like the facility will be open next month for one last hurrah. According to a report in the Detroit Free Press, the Chrysler Museum will be open to the public one last time on June 8 for the annual Chrysler Employee Motorsport Association car show.
While the car show will take place in the museum's parking lot from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM on June 8 with a theme dedicated to muscle cars past and present, all attendees will be able to be among the last people to tour the museum - with free admission. The museum is known for housing some of the more important production and concept cars from Chrysler's history. Check out the car show's flyer for more information.

Toledo continues fight for Jeep Wrangler production, despite mayor's death

Thu, Feb 19 2015

Where will the next-generation Jeep Wrangler be built? That's an open question, but it's one that the city of Toledo, OH desperately wants to be the answer to. The city suffered a major blow, though, with the death of Mayor Michael Collins earlier this month. Collins had been the city's biggest champion during talks with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, before suffering a fatal heart attack on Feb. 6. But Collins' tragic death isn't dampening the city's desire to carry on as the home of the Wrangler. "The mayor's passing is tragic. But on Monday, when I came to work, I knew exactly what I needed to do and exactly what needed to be done," the city's director of development, Matt Sapara, told the Detroit Free Press. According to the Freep, Sapara said Toledo and the state of Ohio have delivered an outline of a development plan that would give FCA the ability to buy an extra 100 acres to expand the factory. This is to help accommodate FCA's targeted output of 300,000 to 350,000 next-generation Wranglers, up from the 240,000 the factory can make now. "Our target in the proposal is to provide a way to increase the production capacity to a number that allows Fiat Chrysler to meet its business model," Sapara told the Freep, adding that the land could be available later this summer. FCA, meanwhile, has shown a somewhat ambivalent attitude towards Toledo production, with CEO Sergio Marchionne openly discussing the pros and cons of continuing to build the Wrangler south of the Michigan border. "We are going to take a very hard look at this without ignoring what these guys have done," Marchionne told the Free Press at last month's Detroit Auto Show, adding that he'd like to keep production there, provided the cost of retooling is comparable to relocating to another facility.
