2004 Chrysler Pacifica Base Sport Utility 4-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Owensboro, Kentucky, United States
Up for sale is a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica front wheel drive with a 3.5 L V6 gas engine and automatic transmission. Third Row Seating, Cloth Interior, Sunroof, All electric, CD Player, radio, memory seats, etc. Mileage - 175K. This is a car I ride and drive in each day but it is having some issues. One of the issues is that in the odometer display there is a reading that says "tire sensor failure - Inspect tires" I took this to our local Chrysler dodge dealer and he checked all of the tires and said I was not loosing any pressure and all of the tires were in good condition but told me that one of the sensors that reads the pressure has probably come demagnitzed or failed and said that it would cost to just hook their computer up to detect which sensor it was and told me that it was fine sense I would be checking tire pressure with each oil change anyway. The sensors are apparently not that expensive but there is a cost to finding the flawed sensor and changing it out so I just didn't bother. The second issue is that the engine light is on and when they plugged the computer up to read the message it said something like "O2 Oxygen Sensor failure" This is not just the sensor it is apparently a problem with the catalytic converter ability to convert emissions. I am not a mechanic but this may be the reason that when I start the engine it has a little bit of a spurt when it first starts kind of like a slow gurgle (I know this sounds weird but I have video of the start and run of the engine so just email me and Ill send you the video) but then keeps running and runs and drives great. The Heat and AC work great but the display dims. Radio works great and I trust the car to drive anywhere but I am told that this O2 leak will have to be fixed or it will wear the engine down over time. I don't know if this is a cheap or expensive fix so I just wanted to lay it all out there and make sure you know everything about the car. I have lots of pics so if something more than what is displayed needs to be seen just let me know. I encourage anyone close to Owensboro, Ky to give me a message 2sevenzero9twonine5onefive8 and ill give you directions to come for a test drive. thanks for looking have a great day. |

Fiat Chrysler and Renault are in advanced partnership talks
Sun, May 26 2019Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Renault are in advanced discussions about a possible alliance, according to a report from the Financial Times citing an anonymous "person familiar with the matter." The news isn't particularly surprising, as FCA has been a constant subject of merger and alliance talks for as long as many of us can remember. We've reported on a potential tie-up between these two automakers several times, as far back as 2008 and as recently as two months ago. FCA CEO Mike Manley has mentioned the company's openness to merging with another automaker. At the Geneva Motor Show a few months back, he said, "We have a strong independent future, but if there is a partnership, a relationship or a merger which strengthens that future, I will look at that." It's no secret that FCA is much stronger in the United States than it is in Europe. For its part, Renault has basically zero presence in the United States. A partnership or potential alliance between the two could shore up each automaker's weak spots and allow the group to split investment money into new technologies, including electric vehicles and autonomy. Of course, Renault is already tied up with Nissan and Mitsubishi, but that partnership has been a little tattered since the arrest of former Nissan and Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn on charges of financial misconduct in Japan. And in addition to Renault, FCA is understood to have discussed various partnership strategies with the PSA Peugeot Citroen group. What a final agreement – if there's any agreement at all – could look like between the two global automakers remains to be seen, and the report from Financial Times cautions that many different options for FCA and Renault are currently on the table. In other words, stay tuned.
FCA under investigation for fraud by FBI, SEC, and DOJ
Tue, Jul 19 2016The US Justice Department is currently in the initial stages of investigating Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for fraud, according to two anonymous sources that spoke with Bloomberg. According to the unnamed sources, prosecutors are examining whether FCA violated US securities laws. As part of a coordinated investigation into FCA's sales reporting practices, investigators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Securities and Exchange Commission visited the automaker's field staff in their offices and homes earlier this month, reports Automotive News. According to an anonymous source that spoke to Automotive News, federal staff attorneys visited FCA's US headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI on July 11. The unnamed source told the outlet that employees were advised to seek counsel before speaking with investigators. Investigators also visited the automaker's offices in Dallas, California, and Orlando, the unnamed source told Automotive News. The investigation comes after FCA claimed it had recorded the best month of sales in the US in the automaker's history in December with a total of 217,527 vehicles sold, reports Bloomberg. The claim now seems untrustworthy. According to a previous report from Automotive News, a Chicago-based dealership group filed a lawsuit against FCA earlier this year. The suit accused the automaker of paying dealers to fake new-vehicle sales. At the time, the automaker claimed the allegations were baseless and had no merit. After the lawsuit, FCA started to add an extended disclaimed at the end of its monthly sales reports, according to Automotive News. In a statement, FCA claimed that the automaker is cooperating with the SEC investigation and pointed out that it records "revenues based on shipments to dealers and customers, not on reported vehicle unit sales to end customers." We'll have more on the investigation as it unfolds. 2017 Chrysler 300S Sport Appearance Package makes tweaks
Wed, Mar 23 2016Your opinion may differ, but to us, if you want the best-looking Chrysler 300, you pretty much have to go with the S model. And now, thanks to the new Sport Appearance Packages, the 300S is going to look even better. The exterior Sport Appearance Pack is going to be standard on the V8-powered 300S and optional on the V6 model. It'll bring you some good stuff, like a gloss-black grille and smoked headlamps, both of which sit in a sportier fascia with larger air intakes and LED fog lamps. There's also a new rear spoiler, and of course, 20-inch wheels (19s if you opt for all-wheel drive). Go for the interior Sport Appearance Package, and the entire inside section of the seats is finished in suede while the exterior sections are leather. The Light Gray Diesel contrast stitching adds a dash of spice to the otherwise black cabin, while the piano black trim's gloss is the closest you'll get to brightwork. Overall, the interior Sport Appearance Pack is a far less comprehensive job than the exterior pack, but it's still pretty nice. We like the overall look provided by both Sport Appearance Packages. They are clean, not overdone, and take the already serious look of the 300S a step further. But there's also little hiding the 300's age at this point. While it's a good look, it's a poor replacement for an all-new 300. We're waiting, Chrysler. Pricing isn't out yet, but we can tell you that dealers will begin taking orders for both the Interior and Exterior Sport Appearance Packages this August. You can see what both packages look like on in the gallery up top, which also features the new Ceramic Gray exterior color.
