So I am the selling my show car to yet buy another one. I'll try and give you some info on what you are looking at, and what it would take to build this car. First try and find at 04-05 HO Turbo with 31,xxx miles in mint shape. If possible would set you back 8k with that low of mileage. The proceed to spent over $15,555 and 6 months of building and you too can have a ride like this. So there is over 40k invested and you can have it for $10,995.00

This is really sad because I take my 10,7995.00 after ebay fees and try to buy a old classic car, and only half way there before I'll ever win at a car show.guess no best overall best paint like I have done in the past.  Just trying to point out that my car is a great deal.

Well all the work and been done, take it to a show and have a blast.

Maintenance done....oh ya us guys that show cars, your not getting a normal car, we love these cars they get treated better than the kids do...:-).  She gets the best oil Royal Purple every 3k k&n oil filters. Detailed every weekend as it is showed twice a month in the summer. I have over 20 wins in this last year.

After owning 53 cars I have yet to own a classic ride. So my next ride will be a ?  My Turbo is in Mint condition needs nothing !!  At 51 I don't hot rod my cars, she always has been garaged and pampered.

2004 PT Turbo with 31k miles. Full PTeaser Body kit with Hood. Full dis-assembly of the whole car interior and all. Install the body kit, new paint and shave the door handles, autoloc 85 pounds door popper on all 4 doors. The flames are airbrushed and none nicer anywhere. That was 7k for the flames another 3k for the blue base paint and door handles.  Just last month I won best paint out of 176 cars. If you show cars you know that isn't easy, there are always stunning cars at shows. The sound system has been upgraded with Kenwood speakers.
The tires and brakes and rotors, along with a 2 new batteries were all done last year.  I try put a list together on parts, most came directly from the Mopar. Dual exhaust, stage1 computer, 1 3/4 lowering springs and shocks. Cold air is Air raid. New 10.5 blue wire and IR plugs a few thousand miles ago. Non smoker !!! No accidents no abuse you just could find a more looked after ride.

Chrysler's Jefferson North plant builds 5-millionth SUV [w/video]

Thu, 15 Aug 2013

Chrysler's Jefferson North Assembly Plant opened in 1992 for production of the first Jeep Grand Cherokee, but in the subsequent years, the Detroit plant has gone on to produce some of the company's biggest SUVs including the Jeep Commander and Dodge Durango. Earlier this week, the plant produced its five-millionth SUV, which, fittingly, was a Grand Cherokee.
Celebrating the plant's five-millionth unit, the silver 2014 Grand Cherokee was promptly donated to the USO. In addition to this milestone SUV, Chrysler also had a near-perfect 1993-95 ZJ Grand Cherokee on hand for the photo op. Scroll down for the Chrysler press release as well as a video showing some of the speeches from the celebration.

Auto Mergers and Acquisitions: Suicide or salvation?

Tue, Sep 8 2015

We love the Moses figure. A savior riding in from stage right with the ideas, the smarts, and the scrappiness to put things right. Alan Mullaly. Carroll Shelby. Lee Iacocca. Andrew Carnegie. Steve Jobs. Elon Musk. Bart Simpson. Sergio Marchionne does not likely view himself with Moses-like optics, but the CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recently gave a remarkable, perhaps prophetic interview with Automotive News about his interest and the inevitability of merging with a potential automotive partner like General Motors. Marchionne has been overtly public about his notion that GM must merge with FCA. For a bit of context, GM sold 9.9 million vehicles in 2014, posting $2.8 billion in net income, while FCA sold 4.75 million units and earned $2.4 billion in net income, painting a very rosy FCA earnings-to-sales picture. But that's not the entire picture. Most people in the auto industry still remember the trainwreck that was the DaimlerChrysler "merger" written in what turned out to be sand in 1998. It proved to be a master class in how not to fuse two companies, two cultures, two continents, and two management teams. Oh, it worked for the two individuals at both helms pre-merger. They got silly rich. And the industry itself was in a misty romance at the time with mergers and acquisitions. BMW bought Rolls-Royce. Volkswagen Group bought Bentley, Bugatti, and Lamborghini, putting all three brands into their rightful place in both products and positioning. No marriages there, so no false pretense. Finally, Nissan and Renault got married in 1999. A successful marriage requires several rare elements in this atmosphere of gas fumes and power lust. But a successful marriage requires several rare elements in this atmosphere of gas fumes and power lust, the principle part being honesty. Daimler and Chrysler lied to each other. The heads of each unit, the product planners, and finance all presented their then-current and long-range forecasts to each other with less-than-forthright accuracy. Daimler was the far greater equal and no one from the Chrysler side enjoyed that. The cultures were entirely different, too, and little was done to bridge that gap. Which brings me back to the present overtures by Marchionne to GM. "There are varying degrees of hugs," Marchionne stated in the Automotive News piece. "I can hug you nicely, I can hug you tightly, I can hug you like a bear, I can really hug you." Seriously?

Car technology I'm thankful and unthankful for

Mon, Nov 27 2017

The past few years have seen a surge of tech features in new vehicles — everything from cloud-based content to semi-autonomous driving. While some of it makes the driving experience better, not all tech is useful or well thought out. Automakers who are adept at drivetrains, ride quality and in-cabin comforts often fail at infotainment interfaces and connectivity. From testing dozens of vehicles each year and in the spirit of gratitude, here are three car tech features I'm thankful — and a trio I could live without. Thanks Connected search: This seems like a no-brainer since everyone already has it on their smartphones, but not all automakers include it in the dashboard and as part of their nav systems. The best ones, such as Toyota Entune, leverage a driver's connected device to search for a range of services and don't charge a subscription or require a separate data plan for the car. I also like how systems like Chrysler Uconnect use Yelp or other apps to find everything from coffee to gas stations and allow searching via voice recognition. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto: It took two of the largest tech companies to get in-dash infotainment right. While they have their disadvantages (you're forced to use Apple Maps with CarPlay, for example), the two smartphone-integration platforms make it easier and safer to use their respective native apps for phoning, messaging, music and more behind the wheel by transferring a familiar UI to the dashboard — with no subscription required. Heated seats and steering wheels: I really appreciate these simple but pleasant features come wintertime. It's easy to get spoiled by bun-warmers on frosty mornings and using a heated steering wheel to warm the cold hands. I recently tested a 2018 Mercedes-Benz E400 Coupe that also had heated armrest that added to a cozy luxury experience. Bonus points for brands like Buick that allow setting seat heaters to turn on when the engine is remotely started. No thanks Automaker infotainment systems: Automakers have probably poured millions into creating their own infotainment systems, with the result largely being frustration on the part of most car owners. And Apple CarPlay and Android Auto coming along to make them obsolete. While some automaker systems, such as Toyota Entune and FCA's Uconnect, are easy and intuitive to use, it seems that high-end systems (I'm looking at you BMW iDrive and Mercedes-Benz COMAND) are the most difficult.
