Touring Convertible
What could
possibly be more fun than a Turbo Touring Edition?....A
Convertible for sure!!
The design of the convertible is quite a bit different from
that of the sedan. For starters, it's a two-door rather than a
four-door. Close examination reveals that the windshield is
raked more radically and uses a different A-pillar design. With
the top up, the convertible looks like a custom chopped-top hot
rod. Pretty cool.
Drop the top and the "Chopped-Top Hot Rod"
turns into a different car. The convertible's high tail and
integrated sport bar is aerodynamically designed to minimize
wind noise. It's also one of the only true ragtops that's
affordable and has room for four.
Outside...the Black Clearcoat exterior really Shines! You
would have to look Very Close to find any issues. There is Not a
Scratch, Ding, or Dent worth mentioning. The color-coded
Moldings, Bumper covers, and Chrome Accents Look Great. Like New
Radials are mated to some awesome looking factory Chrome wheels,
that really finishes out the Look.
Well kept and maintained comes to mind when you drop in behind
the wheel. Autocheck Certified with no accidents and a score
that's Off The Chart.
Very SHARP indeed from every angle!!
Inside ... more of the same thing you would expect from a
well kept Touring Edition. All interior appliques are in great
shape, as are the gauges, door panels, and dash. Light Tan Leather seats are clean, soft, and issue-free. Cold a/c, power
windows and mirrors, and a great factory sound
system with CD, all add to the convenience and FUN this
convertible has to offer.
Power Top works at the touch of a button and I really like
the One-Touch window switch that operate all the windows at the
same time...up or down. So drop the top and have some FUN!
Mechanically....Just serviced and ready to go. This PT
Convertible is powered by Chrysler's 2.4 Liter Turbo-charged
engine that produces a respectable 180 Horsepower. Acceleration
is quite brisk and the handling is precise. All the car for lots
less than new and with only 79,000 miles, there is Plenty of
life and FUN left for the New Owner!
We're offering an opportunity to own
this SHARP convertible for thousands less than New. You'll get
one Sharp ride, that's Fun to drive, all at a price that will
leave your neighbors wondering how you did it.

General Motors, Ford and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV posted declines in US new vehicle sales for June on Monday, while major Japanese automakers reported stronger figures. Once again, demand for pickup trucks and crossovers offset a decline in sedan sales. Automakers' shares rose as overall industry sales still came in above Wall Street expectations. The US auto industry is bracing for a downturn after hitting a record 17.55 million new vehicles sold in 2016. Analysts had predicted that overall, US vehicle sales would fall in June for the fourth consecutive month. As the market has shown signs of cooling, automakers have hiked discounts and loosened lending terms. Car shopping website Edmunds said on Monday the average length of a car loan reached an all-time high of 69.3 months in June. "It's financially risky, leaving borrowers exposed to being upside down on their vehicles for a large chunk of their loans," said Jessica Caldwell, Edmunds' executive director of industry analysis. GM said its sales fell about 5 percent versus June 2016, but that the industry would see stronger sales in the second half of 2017 versus the first half. "Under the current economic conditions, we anticipate US retail vehicle sales will remain strong for the foreseeable future." GM shares were up 2.4 percent in morning trading, while Ford rose 3.3 percent and FCA shares jumped 6 percent. "US total sales are moderating due to an industry-wide pullback in daily rental sales, but key US economic fundamentals clearly remain positive," said GM chief economist Mustafa Mohatarem. "Under the current economic conditions, we anticipate US retail vehicle sales will remain strong for the foreseeable future." Ford said its sales for June were hit by lower fleet sales to rental agencies, businesses, and government entities, which fell 13.9 percent, while sales to consumers were flat. But it sold a record 406,464 SUVs in the first half of the year, with Explorer sales increasing 23 percent in June. And sales of the F-150 had their strongest June since 2001. On a media call, Ford executives said an initial read of automakers' sales figures indicated a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of around 17 million new vehicles for the month, which would be better than 16.6 million units analysts had predicted. FCA said June sales decreased 7 percent versus the same month a year earlier.

We can't yet share all the details on the 2015 Chrysler 200 sedan, but we can direct your attention to the image above, which was published by the boys at Jalopnik after Chrysler reportedly let it out by accident. As you can see, the new 200 will be a nicely styled piece of machinery.
According to leaked documentation, the 2015 Chrysler 200 will come with the buyer's choice of a 2.4-liter Tiger Shark four-cylinder engine with 184 horsepower and 173 pound-feet of torque or a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 boasting 295 horses and 262 lb-ft. Those ponies will be routed through a nine-speed automatic with a rotary gear selector, sending power to the front wheels. Alternatively, a high-tech all-wheel-drive system will be available that can electronically disconnect the rear axle, saving fuel.
Speaking of fuel efficiency, the 2015 200 will be able to achieve up to 35 miles per gallon on the highway, which is an impressive figure for this class. An on-sale date has yet to be announced, but the next 200 will start at $21,700 (plus $995 for destination) when it does finally hit dealerships.

In the same week that Audi said "not so fast" to some claims from Tesla, Chrysler has responded to a new press release from the California-based EV-maker by saying "not exactly, Tesla." The statement, released through the company's blog, comes in response to Tesla claiming it was "the only American car company to have fully repaid the government." Chrysler notes that it, too, recently paid back Uncle Sam from its 2008 bailout. Similar to Audi's recent press release, which was eventually and mysteriously deleted from the German automaker's site, Chrysler is both right and wrong in its statement.
Tesla specifically said that it had paid back the Department of Energy loans that many automakers received - including Fisker and VPG Autos - while Chrysler's retort argues Tesla is "unmistakably incorrect" since it repaid the government in 2011 a full six years early. Technically, the statements from both automakers are correct, but Tesla's startup loan originated from the DoE, while Chrysler's loan came in bailout form from the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). Further, as The Detroit News notes, Chrysler's loan still cost taxpayers well over a billion dollars after all was said and done - those negative assets tied to "old Chrysler" in the bankruptcy did not require repayment.
