(NOTE: MY AD IS MUCH LONGER THAN OTHERS BECAUSE I BELIEVE IF YOU'RE MAKING A LARGE INVESTMENT AS THIS YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT YOU'RE INVESTING IN. MANY SELL CARS BECAUSE OF PROBLEMS BUT THIS IS BEING SOLD BECAUSE WE JUST PURCHASED A NEW CONVERTIBLE. I'M NOT THE NEW KID IN TOWN JUST TRYING TO DUMP A CAR. IN FACT I'VE BEEN AROUND FOR YEARS UNDER TOMMYTURTLE53. LOOK ME UP & READ MY GREAT 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK ON MY HONESTY. I OPENED THIS ACCOUNT TO SELL THE MANY MODEL CARS I HAVE ON DISPLAY IN MY HOME). NOW FOR MY AD---MY CHRYSLER 2005 PT CRUISER CONVERTIBLE 4 CYL STANDARD 5 SPEED IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ONLY 91,016 MILES. PLEASE SEE VIDEO & PICTURES. WE ARE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS SINCE 3/3/05. PURCHASED FROM BROWN'S CHRYSLER JEEP OF PATCHOGUE LONG ISLAND NEW YORK WITH 2,000 MILES ON IT. THE SALES PERSON WHO WORKED AT THE DEALER DROVE IT WITH DEALER PLATES & WHY WE'RE CONSIDERED THE 2nd OWNER BUT MY ORIGINAL PAPER WORK (3/3/05) SHOWS WE BOUGHT IT DIRECTLY FROM BROWN'S. THIS CAR WAS ALWAYS DRIVEN LOCALLY ON LONG ISLAND & WHY THE MILEAGE IS SO LOW. I HAVE THE 5 PAGE CARFAX  IN HAND DATED 4/26/14 VERIFYING THIS VEHICLE IS ACCIDENT FREE & ALSO SHOWING THE SERVICE HISTORY SINCE PURCHASED FROM BROWN'S. ALONG WITH THE CARFAX WE HAVE THE ORIGINAL WINDOW ADVERTISEMENT AT THE TIME, ORIGINAL BILL OF SALE, TITLE WITH LIEN RELEASE, 2 REMOTES, INSPECTION, OIL CHANGE & OTHER DOCUMENTATION SHOWING THIS CAR WAS TAKEN CARE OF SINCE NEW. THIS VEHICLE SPORTS RECENT NEW TIRES, AM FM CD PLAYER, MUD GUARDS, CHROME GAS LICENSE PLATE HOLDERS, CHROME GAS FLAP COVER, POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, POWER DOOR LOCKS, CHROME PULL LOCK STEMS, POWER WINDOWS, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, REAR DEFROSTER IN THE GLASS, WITH RECENT BRAKES, ROTORS, THERMOSTAT, OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT, BALL JOINTS & ENGINE MOUNT (OLD PARTS SHOWN IN A BOX IN A PICTURE OF THE TRUNK), TIE ROD ENDS, CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS, FRONT STRUTS, TOP REPAIR, TIMING BELT & WATER PUMP WERE REPLACED AT 68,674. MOST OF THE WORK ON THIS CAR WAS AT BROWN'S CHRYSLER JEEP OF PATCHOGUE LONG ISLAND NEW YORK. EVERYTHING THIS VEHICLE NEEDED WAS DONE AND NOW READY FOR A NEW HOME. THIS CAR HAS NO LEAKS ANYWHERE & WITH A FRESH OIL CHANGE & AIR FILTER IS A TURN KEY & GO! THIS CAR STARTS UP EVERY TIME AND A DREAM TO DRIVE. THE SPARE TIRE WAS NEVER USED & STILL AS NEW. THE INTERER IS BLACK AND IN NEAR PERFECT CONDITION BUT DOES HAVE A VERY,VERY MINOR BLEMISH (NOT A RIP) ON THE FRONT SEAT. YOU'D REALLY HAVE TO STUDY TO FIND IT THIS SINCE THE COLOR IS BLACK. IN FACT, IT'S SO MINOR I'D PROBABLY HAVE TO POINT IT OUT TO YOU. I SHOWED MOST OF MY DOCUMENTATION IN MY PICTURES BUT IF YOU NEED ANY MORE INFORMATION JUST ASK. WITH AN APPOINTMENT---PLEASE FEEL FREE TO INSPECT THIS VEHICLE YOURSELF OR SEND YOUR MECHANIC. THIS CAR NEEDS NOTHING & WOULD BE GREAT FOR ANYONE IN THE FAMILY! THE NEW YORK STATE INSPECTION IS CURRENT AND VALID FOR A FEW MORE MONTHS. YOU CAN EMAIL OR CALL 1-631-475-4535 & LEAVE YOUR NAME & PHONE NUMBER. MY PHONE NUMBER IS FOR THIS AD ONLY AND ALL OTHER CALLS WILL NOT BE ANSWERED OR RETURNED. I DON'T ANSWER BLOCKED, PRIVATE, RESTRICTED OR UNAVAILABLE CALLS. I CHECK ALL MESSAGES THROUGHOUT THE DAY. IF YOU CALL YOU MUST ALSO DIAL THE 1 IN MY PHONE NUMBER. ALTHOUGH THIS CAR IS SOLID, IT'S BEING SOLD AS IS (AS ALL PRIVATE SALES FOR USED CARS) WITH NO WARRANTY BUT YOU CAN STILL PURCHASE A USED CAR WARRANTY ONLINE. HAULING IS UP TO THE BUYER BUT IF YOU NEED A DEPENDABLE LOW PRICED HAULER I DO HAVE A FEW NUMBERS. I'D NEED A $500.00-$1,000,00 NON REFUNDABLE CASH DEPOSIT & I'LL TAKE CASH, BANK OR A PERSONAL CHECK TO COMPLETE THE SALE. IF YOU PAY BY CASH YOU GET THIS GREAT CAR ON THE SPOT. IF YOU PAY BY CHECK, I'LL MAKE OUT A BILL OF SALE BUT THE CAR STAYS WITH ME UNTIL AFTER THE CHECK CLEARS. AFTER THE SALE (IF NEEDED) THE CAR CAN STAY IN MY SECURE BACK YARD DRIVEWAY (SEEN IN MY PICTURES) FOR UP TO A MONTH. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH ROOM SO IF YOU NEED MORE TIME TO MOVE THE CAR THAT'S NOT A PROBLEM AS LONG AS WE COMMUNICATE. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND HAVE A BLESSED SPARKLING DAY-TOMMY

NOTE: WARNING!!! YOU'LL SEE A LOT MORE CARS FROM NEW YORK FOR SALE BECAUSE THEY CAN'T LEGALLY PASS NEW YORK STATE INSPECTION! STARTING LAST YEAR, IF A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON THE VEHICLE WILL FAIL. THE OWNER MUST FIX THE PROBLEM WITHIN A CERTAIN TIME & IF IT STILL DON'T PASS THE OWNER MUST TURN IN THEIR PLATES! AS A RESULT THE CAR MUST BE SOLD TO AN OUT OF STATE BUYER. OTHER STATES HAVE MORE RELAXED INSPECTION RULES AND SOME HAVE NO VEHICLE INSPECTIONS AT ALL. THIS VEHICLE HAS NO SUCH PROBLEM & ALWAYS DID & WILL PASS ALL EMISSION & SAFTEY TESTS. YOU'LL NEVER FIND A MORE COMPLETE (CAR) PT CRUISER CONVERTIBLE. THIS CAR WAS TAKEN CARE OF SINCE NEW & WHY THE LIST OF REPAIRS IS LONG. OTHERS SELL THESE CARS BECAUSE THEY NEED WORK AFTER SO MANY MILES BUT THEY HIDE IT FROM THE BUYER. THIS CAR RUNS AS IT SHOULD AND WAITING FOR YOU. IF YOU LOOK AT OTHERS ASK THE OWNERS FOR DOCUMENTATION OF NEW TIMING BELT & WATER PUMP AT THE 60,000 MILE MARK. THIS JOB ALONE COULD COST $500.00-$800.00 DEPENDING ON WHO DOES THE JOB. THE ONLY DOWNFALL FOR SOME IS THE STANDARD SHIFT BUT IT'S FUN, EASY TO LEARN ESPECIALLY IN THIS PT CRUISER CONVERTIBLE! I'M LOOKING FOR THE FULL BUY IT NOW PRICE BUT IF YOU'RE THE ONLY BIDDER THEN YOU'LL BE THE VERY LUCKY NEW OWNER! The USPS needs 180,000 new delivery vehicles, automakers gearing up to bid

Wed, Feb 18 2015

Winning the New York City Taxi of Tomorrow tender was a huge prize for Nissan, even though the company is still working through the process of claiming its prize. The United States Postal Service has begun the process to take bids for a new delivery vehicle to replace the all-too-familiar Grumman Long Life Vehicle, and that will be a much larger plum for the automaker who wins it, perhaps worth more than six billion dollars. The Grumman LLV is an aluminum body covering a Chevrolet S-10 pickup chassis and General Motors' Iron Duke four-cylinder engine. The USPS bought them from 1987 to 1994, and the 163,000 of them still in service are a monumental drain on postal resources: they get roughly ten miles to the gallon instead of the quoted 16 mpg, drink up more than $530 million in fuel each year, and their constant repair needs like the balky sliding door and leaky windshields have led the service to increase the annual maintenance budget from $100 million to $500 million. A seat belt is about as modern as it gets for safety technology, and the USPS says that assuming things stay the same, it can't afford to run them beyond 2017. Last year it put out two triage requests for proposals seeking 10,000 new chassis and drivetrains for the Grumman and 10,000 new vehicles. The LLV is also too small for the modern mail system in which package delivery is growing and letter delivery is declining. The service says it doesn't have a fixed idea of the ideal "next-generation delivery vehicles," but it listed a number of requirements in its initial request and is open to any proposal. Carriers have some suggestions, though, saying they want better cupholders, sun visors that they can stuff letters behind, a driver's compartment free of slits that can swallow mail, and a backup camera. The request for information sent to automakers pegs the tender at 180,000 vehicles that would cost between $25,000 and $35,000 apiece, and it will hold a conference on February 18 to answer questions about the contract. GM is the only domestic maker to avow an interest, while Ford and Fiat-Chrysler have remained cagey. Yet with a possible $6.3 billion up for grabs and some new vans for sale that would be advertised on every block in the country, we have a feeling everyone will be listening closely come February 18. We also have a feeling the LeMons series is going to be flooded with Grummans come 2017. News Source: Wall Street Journal, Automotive News - sub.

2014 Ram Power Wagon is bigger and badder than ever [w/video]

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

"The 2014 Ram Power Wagon fills a need for those who travel into extreme terrain for rescue or recreation." - Reid Bigland
More, more, more. That's the philosophy behind the latest Ram Power Wagon. The extra-brawny, Ram 2500-based pickup is back for 2014, and naturally, it's even more extreme than its predecessor.

Ferrari to be spun off from Fiat Chrysler

Wed, 29 Oct 2014

The recently merged Fiat Chrysler Automobiles empire has ambitious plans for growth, and it's going to need some big bucks in its coffers in order to enact them. Part of that cash injection is coming from the floating of its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, but now FCA has announced a further capital campaign to be based on the enormous asset that is Ferrari.
FCA's board of directors has just approved the separation of Ferrari from the rest of the group as a separate entity. Once that separation is complete, Ferrari will put 10 percent of its shares on the stock market "in the United States and possibly a European exchange" as well.
This isn't the first time that the idea of a Ferrari IPO has been raised. Sergio Marchionne, chief executive of Chrysler, Fiat and Ferrari (pictured above), first raised the idea four years ago. Former Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo nixed the idea, but now that he's been discharged, it appears there's nothing to get in the way of Marchionne's desires.
