1973 Chrysler Newport with the rare Navaho package. Low mileage car. First owner had it from 1973 to 1976. Second owner 1976 to 2012. Then I bought if from his estate. Starts right up, shifts great and floats down the highway like a dream. Drive anywhere, ready to go. Comes with original window stickers, dealer paperwork, owner's manual, etc. I am out of room and need to divest myself of some of my toys.
400 cubic inch V8 engine. Automatic transmission. Air conditioning (still has R12 has not been converted to R134A. Does not blow cold.)
The Navaho package was offered only a few years and I believe 1973 was the last year that it was offered. All Navahos came with the copper metallic paint with burnt orange pinstripes, white vinyl roof and above all the burnt orange colored factory "shag" carpet and Navaho seat fabric. If you were alive in 1973 (like I was) you'd simply say "It was the style at the time". This 19.5 foot long four door hardtop beast really attracts attention at cruise nights and local car shows. Also 1973 was the last of Chrysler's "fuselage" style cars. Someone will enjoy this car for many years forward.
I've included many pics. Please ask questions before you bid. Please do not bid if you don't intend to pay. Check my 100% positive eBay feedback. Remember this car is very old. She is far from perfect but she is a great unrestored original car. There is some rust here and there but the underside is extremely nice and solid. It is not a rust bucket. The interior is awesome. (There is one seam on the back seat that is coming open from age, not wear.) The dash is not cracked at all. Car is sold as is/where is. I live near Reading PA, about 65 miles outside of Philadelphia. Pickup only. You can send your shipper and I will do what I can to accommodate you but I cannot arrange or help you with shipping. Car stays in my garage until all funds are securely in my possession. Mileage may be a little higher than stated because I do take the car out sometimes.
Reserve is very realistic. Good Luck!

SRT reveals Satin Vapor Edition 300, Charger and Challenger SRT models
Fri, 07 Feb 2014With the exception of some notable truck and van introductions, Chrysler brands have tended to use the Chicago Auto Show to bring out new special editions, pimp their aftermarket parts support or indulge in the occasional flight of fancy. That plan is holding true for 2014, as well. Cases in point are these new Satin Vapor Editions of the 2014-model-year Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 - all from SRT.
The Satin Vapor name may sound like a failed 1970s glam-rock band, or a pseudo-gynecological diagnosis from the Old West, but is, in fact, pretty much a tape-and-trim package for this trio of hi-po Mopars. 300, Challenger and Charger alike come shod with 20-inch aluminum wheels finished in Black Satin Vapor Chrome, and are accented with Satin Black bits aplenty. The 300 gets blacked-out mirrors, spoiler and roof; the Challenger applies it to mirrors and its fuel door; while the Charger has the stuff covering its roof, hood and Super Bee tail graphic.
Interiors of the cars have been mildly updated as well, with all three getting some combination of Nappa leather, ultra-suede and carbon-fiberish finishes.
Ferrari IPO could come any day now
Sun, Jul 12 2015According to Bloomberg, Fiat Chrysler Automotive Sergio Marchionne told reporters at the Toronto Global Forum that the Ferrari IPO could come any day now. "We are days away from filing the prospectus," said Marchionne, who declined to confirm whether rumors of involvement from UBS Group AG, JPMorgan Chase & Co and Goldman Sachs Group were accurate. In addition to an expected filing in New York, Marchionne hinted that a secondary filing could take place in Milan, Italy. Although the FCA Chief Executive didn't offer any expected sum for Ferrari, he had previously suggested that an IPO for the iconic Italian brand could be worth $1 billion, ringing the registers to the tune of 10 percent of the company's $11 billion valuation. According to Bloomberg, that potential sum is significantly higher than its own internal figures indicate after taking a poll of analysts who we assume must know a heck of a lot more about such things than we do. Considering how close we apparently are to the actual filing, though, we probably won't have to wait long to find out. Another hot topic any time Sergio is the subject of reporter questioning is a potential merger with General Motors or another large, full-line automaker. It seems there aren't any new revelations to reveal on the consolidation front, though Marchionne told reporters there were no plans to mount a hostile takeover of GM or any "other, less optimal" partners. Four-horse race opens up for next Chrysler-Fiat CEO
Mon, 16 Dec 2013
There are some companies that could change leadership overnight and still remain more or less the operations that they are. But some have built themselves up around one central figure. Just ask Carlos Tavares, who found he couldn't escape the long shadow of Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn. Tavares recently left to find his own limelight. But Ghosn isn't the only executive who presides over two disparate automakers on opposite ends of the globe.
Having built up Fiat and Chrysler around himself, we can hardly imagine either automaker getting along without Sergio Marchionne. But the day will come when the famously sweater-clad bigwig will step down. The pressing questions remain when when that day will come, and who will take his place. The only solid clues we have are in the statements made mostly by Marchionne himself, but those statements have been all over the place. When speaking to Automotive News in 2012, he said he would step down "no earlier than 2013, no later than 2015." But a year later, he had already seemingly changed his tune, indicating he could still be at the helm in 2016. Fiat chairman John Elkann seems to think Marchionne, 61, could and should stay on longer.
