1962 Chrysler Newport Wagon. Rare Hardtop (No center post) Wagon. 361 V8 Push Button Trans. Runs and drives good. Nice rust free body although the front floors and rear cargo well do need rust repair. All glass, chrome and trim in good shape. Power seat and power rear window work as do all the gauges. Previous owner rebuilt the front end and brakes. Has been converted to dual master cylinder for saftey. previous owner also did some engine work but I'm not sure exactly what he did. It does run good but sounds like it has an exhaust leak. Easy Restoration project. Good AZ title in my name ready to transfer to new owner. Car is located in the Phoenix Arizona area. In person inspections are welcome, just contact me to set up a time. Shipping is the buyers responseability but I will be glad to assist on this end. Jeep sets all-time sales record in 2012
Wed, 09 Jan 2013Last year was good to Jeep. Chrysler has announced its trail-rated brand set an all-time global sales record in 2012 by moving 701,626 units. That number easily surpasses the previous record set in 1999 when Jeep sold 675,494 models. All told, the brand saw a 19-percent sales increase worldwide over 2011, and much of that swell can be traced directly to the Wrangler. While the Grand Cherokee led Jeep sales, the Wrangler posted record numbers both globally and within the US, moving 194,142 and 141,669 units in each market, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Compass beat its previous global sales record with 103,321 units rolling off of dealer lots. In the US, Jeep sold 62,010 Patriot units, breaking that model's previous record as well. Jeep's impressive performance in 2012 marks the second year in a row the brand has seen double-digit percentage sales increases. Check out the full press release below.
Ram helps power Chrysler to 11% gain in May
Mon, 03 Jun 2013Increasing consumer demand for Ram pickup trucks and big SUVs has helped to boost May sales for Chrysler. Ram sales were up a total of 24 percent year-over-year for the month of May. In addition, Dodge sales increased by 23 percent in May, with the standout Durango clocking a 24-percent year-over-year improvement (with an updated 2014 model in the wings, incentives are thick on the ground for 2013 inventory). Fiat and Jeep were up only a modest one percent, however, and Chrysler brand sales were down by two percent against last year's figures.
Chrysler is quite pleased overall with brand performance, saying that this May marks the company's strongest in the past six years. It was also the 38th consecutive month showing year-over-year sales gains.
Eight of the automaker's vehicles set sales records for May, as well: Jeep Wrangler and Compass, Dodge Avenger and Challenger, Fiat 500, Chrysler 200 and Ram pickups. Scroll down to read more detail in Chrysler's press release.
