1967 CHRYSLER NEW YORKER HARDTOP 440
I am pleased to offer this incredibly original 1967 Chrysler New Yorker 4 door Hardtop with its original 440 big block engine. This New Yorker is positively beautiful and would qualify for any Concours preservation class. First of all the paint appears to be all original. There is no rust, not even a hint. There is no body damage save a few paint nicks or minor scratches. I have made no attempt to touch it up. The chrome and stainless is gorgeous. All of the lights and lenses are superb. Everything is original on the outside except the tires. Inside is like stepping into a new car. The seats were covered from new and I removed them to find perfect fabric. The headliner, carpet, door panels, package shelf and dash are all superb. Please look at the pictures carefully and see if you can try to find any flaws. Everything works including the very cold air conditioning. Oops I forgot to check the clock. Under the hood is that amazing 440 big block Chrysler engine powering through a perfect shifting Torque Flite transmission. I have not touched the engine compartment solely because it is so original. I did not use any cleaners or paint to try to doll it up. The trunk is in similar condition with its original carpet mat still in place and perfect underneath. That might be the original spare along with the correct jacking tools. The undercarriage has not been cleaned but it is nice with no evidence of leaks. To drive this Chrysler is like stepping back to 1967 when you could drive this car off the dealers showroom floor. It positively drives like a new car. The only change I would ever consider is a set of radial tires if I were to drive this car a lot. I hope I have hit all of the bases, it is truly a breathtaking automobile. As always if you have any questions simply email or call. Thanks for looking.

All that stands in the way of Fiat's total ownership of Chrysler is a 41.5-percent stake currently held by the United Auto Workers healthcare trust, but according to SFGate.com, Sergio Marchionne is currently trying to raise the capital to complete the acquisition. The article says that a deal could be completed in as soon as 12 months, and the estimate for the remaining stake could cost Fiat SpA around $2.98 billion. With a goal of completing the deal by the end of 2014, Marchionne is said to be in talks with various banks to help finance some of the deal. According to the report, the banks have indicated a need for a stronger balance sheet, controlled debt and reserve cash. Two things that don't seem to be on the table to get the deal completed include issuing new shares to raise the capital or selling a stake in Ferrari. Fiat started with a 20 percent share of Chrysler in June 2009, and it raised its stake up to 58.5 percent in January 2012.

A preliminary configurator for the 2015 Chrysler 200 is already up and greeting Internet visitors. The totally re-envisioned sedan that we got to know in our Deep Dive starts with an LX base trim for $22,695, which comes out to an MSRP of $21,700 plus $995 for destination. That number will get you entry to a party that comes with keyless entry, ambient LED lighting inside, a five-inch Uconnect touschcreen system with Bluetooth, a six-speaker stereo, eight-way power driver's seat, safety features like brake assist and an electronic parking brake and eighteen-inch wheels on all-season tires. The features list isn't yet broken down by model, but including destination, the other three trims retail for $24,250 for the Limited, $25,990 for the S and $26,990 for the C. All-wheel drive adds $4,200 on the S and the C. You can build an LX pretty quickly because there aren't many options. There are two interior choices, black or black/linen, five exterior color options, and just two choices after that: you can opt for the $495 five-inch Uconnect system that adds features like voice command and a rearview mirror with a microphone, and an engine block heater for $95.

The four-year relationship between Fiat and Chrysler has thus far been beneficial for both automakers, but it has also proven to be a complicated battle between Sergio Marchionne and the United Auto Workers - the latter controlling the remaining 41.5 percent of Chrysler. With the recent filing for a US IPO, it looks like Marchionne and the UAW appear to be playing a billion-dollar game of chicken, with both sides far apart on how much the union's shares are worth. If it comes down to Chrysler's remaining stake being publicly traded, it could act to drive a wedge between the two companies. According to Bloomberg, Fiat's chairman John Elkann says "if the IPO will take place, there will be two companies, and that's different than having a single one." Now, we're not great at math, but this sounds like the complete opposite of the full merger that Marchionne has been pushing for since taking the helm at Chrysler. Bloomberg notes that the UAW's shares should be worth around $5.6 billion, but Fiat could end up paying as little as $4.9 billion for Fiat to gain full control of Chrysler. A story by The Detroit News points out that Marchionne's "alleged low-balling" is just the latest hurdle the Auburn Hills-based automaker must overcome as its ownership is being fought over for the fourth time in 15 years.
