THE BODY ON THIS CAR IS IN VERY GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION. IT STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL PAINT. THE FLOORS AND TRUNK ARE VERY SOLID. THE CAR COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL FENDER SKIRTS. THE ARE VERY FEW DINGS OR DENTS ON THE CAR. THE BODY IS VERY STRAIGHT CONSIDERING THE YEAR. THERE ARE STONE CHIPS, AND MINOR SCRATCHES HERE AND THERE, BUT IT IS 45 YEARS OLD. THE PAINT IS DECENT FOR THE AGE. ALL OF THE GLASS IS GOOD. IT HAS A DARK GREEN VINYL TOP. THE TOP IS ACTUALLY IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE, BUT THERE ARE SOME BUBBLES UNDER THE VINYL IN A FEW PLACES. THE CHROME TRIM, BUMPERS ETC ARE COMPLETE AND IN GOOD SHAPE. IT HAS 4 NICE CHRSYLER RALLY WHEELS ON THE CAR WITH NEW TIRES.
THIS CAR CAME WITH THE 440 TNT HIGH PERFORMANCE ENGINE. IT WAS A STOCK 375 HP. THE ENGINE RUNS WELL. THE CAR SOUNDS REALLY GOOD WITH THE NEW TRUE DUAL EXHAUST. MECHANICALLY THE CAR IS IN GOOD CONDITION. A LOT OF NEW PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS.
THE INTERIOR IN THIS NEW YORKER IS DARK GREEN IN COLOR. IT HAS BUCKET SEATS AND A CONSOLE. THE HEADLINER, DASH , DOOR PANELS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE FOR THE YEAR. BOTH ARMRESTS HAVE SOME CRACKS. THE DASH HAS A FEW MINOR CRACKS. CARPET IS NEW.SEATS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THE ONLY SEAT WITH IMPERFECTIONS IS THE DRIVER SEAT. IT HAS A SEAM PULLED APART, AND A SMALL HOLE IN THE SEAT BOTTOM.THE CAR CAME WITH A FACTORY TILT AND TELESCOPIC STEERING WHEEL.
THE MAJOR THING WRONG WITH THE CAR IS THE POWER WINDOWS NEED SOME WORK. THEY ARE NOT WORKING AND I NEVER MESSED WITH THEM. THERE ARE A FEW EXTRA POWER WINDOW REGULATORS INCLUDED WITH THE CAR. THERE ARE ALSO SOME EXTRA SWITCHES. IT NEEDS SOMEONE TO SPEND A COUPLE HOURS AND GET THEM ALL WORKING PROPERLY.
THERE ARE NUMEROUS EXTRA PARTS THAT ARE INCLUDED WITH THE SALE. EXTRA JACK PARTS, STEERING BOX, INTERIOR PIECES ETC.
THIS IS A NICE OLD CAR WITH AN EXTREME AMOUNT OF OPTIONS, IT IS LOADED AND IN GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION. I CANT SEE WHERE ANY BODY WORK HAS EVER BEEN DONE. IT APPEARS TO HAVE ALL ORIGINAL PANELS. THIS CAR IS VERY COMFORTABLE AND FUN TO DRIVE. IT DRIVES VERY WELL. DRIVE IT OR RESTORE IT AS YOU GO.
WOULD LIKE $1500 DOWN IN 2 - 3 DAYS AND BALANCE PRIOR TO PICKUP. WILL ACCEPT CASH, WIRE OR ANY CERTIFIED FUNDS. WILL COOPERATE WITH SHIPPING CO'S OR FLY IN AND DRIVE IT HOME! WILL SELL OVERSEAS. THANKS FOR LOOKING

Fiat Chrysler quietly sends Pentastar logo out to pasture
Wed, 05 Nov 2014Logos come and go, and in the case of the famed Chrysler Pentastar, it's on its way back out. The well-known five-sided emblem, which sits prominently atop the massive Chrysler Technical Center complex in Auburn Hills, MI, is officially going to be phased out now that the company has united with Fiat and formed the new Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
As a nearly 50-year-old icon, though, the fate of the Pentastar has been deeply intertwined with Chrysler's history. Hemmings has an excellent recap of that history, from its development in 1962 by a Chrysler ad agency through to its temporary discontinuation during the disastrous marriage between the American company and Daimler-Benz, and then on to its revival during the time the automaker regained its independence.
If you've been a fan of Chrysler and its brands over the years, you're going to want to give this piece a read. Head over and take a look.
Marchionne recruiting activist investors to prompt GM merger
Tue, Jun 9 2015Sergio Marchionne may have been rebuffed in his previous advances at General Motors, but he's not about to give up that easily. According to The Wall Street Journal, the Fiat Chrysler chief is now turning to activist investors to help coax GM into joining forces. Marchionne has been a staunch and ceaseless advocate of the need for consolidation, arguing that the industry needs to amalgamate into larger groups that will share resources and reduce overhead. Under his leadership, the Fiat group consolidated its own operations, and officially merged with Chrysler last year. But he's also been pursuing additional mergers with the likes of Volkswagen, Peugeot, Ford, and Opel (to name just a few). Now he's pursuing a merger with GM, which has not shown much enthusiasm towards the idea. For one thing, GM is a much larger company, and probably doesn't need FCA as much as FCA needs it. For another, it has a troubled past with Marchionne, who in 2005 dissolved an agreed merger (of sorts) with GM, yet still managed to get the General to pay Fiat some $2 billion in the process. However, Marchionne is evidently hoping that the intervention of activist investors could compel GM CEO Mary Barra and company to proceed with a merger anyway. For precedent, he's looking at the recent negotiation between GM and some of its stakeholders that prompted the company to buy back $5 billion of its own shares, demonstrating Barra's willingness to deal with investors. The more compelling precedent, however, may have been set in 2006, when activist investor Kirk Kerkorian locked arms with Carlos Ghosn to get GM to consider joining the alliance between Renault and Nissan. GM ultimately declined, and Ghosn turned instead of Daimler (which of course has its own history of having merged with Chrysler). Only time will tell if this initiative will prove more successful, but one thing's for sure, and that's that Marchionne isn't about to relent in his pursuit of a major merger partner.
