1948 Chrysler New Yorker Convt.4k Miles Since Total Restoration.fluid-drive.mint on 2040-cars
El Segundo, California, United States
1948 Chrysler New Yorker Convt. One of only about 2900 produced for that year.As rare as a "Town and Country",but about $100K. less money!!.Older restoration with about 4000 miles since finished.Orig.Burgundy color ext. with Highlander plaid partial leather interior.Fluid-drive,semi-auto works perfectly.Power top works well, with a Burgundy Tonneau included.Just had a minor drivability service,at a local classic car shop.{Excel Auto} Culver city.Should have a set of new radials installed, just for safety purposes, but wide whites do look appropriate!!..Drives very well, shifts as it should. Can be driven almost as a complete automatic. All in all,A very well restored, slightly used,super-rare classic. You might see a few"T-n-C`s" at a Chrysler meet, but rarely a New Yorker. This car is coming out of my partner`s and mine personal collection, along with 4-5 other classics we have decided to sell. This one is first. We have priced it very fair, considering its rarity. It is located in El Segundo,Ca.,and ready to go..Please feel free to ask unanswered questions.Best of luck.

Chrysler releases Born Maker ad campaign for 2015 200 [w/video]
Fri, 06 Jun 2014
"The 200 sets the benchmark, for us, on how we plan to develop cars going forward." - Marissa Hunter
Is the 2015 Chrysler 200 the most important new product for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles? While it is certainly debatable, we'd be strongly inclined to say "yes." As the first competent midsize sedan that Chrysler has released in the better part of two decades, the new 200 is absolutely crucial to achieving the brand's goal of becoming FCA's "mainstream" manufacturer.
PSA unions vote in favor of merger with Fiat Chrysler
Tue, Nov 19 2019PARIS — The majority of unions representing workers at Peugeot maker PSA are in favor of a planned $50 billion merger with Fiat Chrysler, PSA executives and union representatives said. However, the unions said that once the merger deal was signed, they would be seeking detailed information about the plans for the combined company. At a PSA works council meeting, all trade union representatives on the council voted to give a favorable opinion on the merger. "We will remain vigilant about the social impact and await a clearer and more detailed picture of the plan's implications for plants, volume, and how much work will be given to the foundries," said Franck Don, representative of the CFTC union. "But the project in the form it's been presented makes sense because the two groups complement each other, are in good financial health, and thanks to the new format will attain a critical size which is vital in the auto business today." The merger would help the firms pool resources to meet tough new emissions rules and investments in electric and self-driving vehicles, as well as counter a broader downturn in car markets. Securing support from Europe's powerful trade unions will be critical for the merged company, which will employ more than 400,000 staff and operate hundreds of factories worldwide. The deal has stirred concerns in Germany and Britain where plants making Opel and Vauxhall cars have seen jobs cut in recent year as part of a cost-cutting drive. Car Club USA: Chrysler Power Classic
Wed, Jul 22 2015Car Club USA heads to the Buckeye State for some high-octane drag racing at the Chrysler Power Classic. And for these amateur drag racers, nothing but Mopar muscle will do. "I would say Mopar is kind of a way of life," says Larry Augenstine. "Some people get addicted to lemonade, or beer, [or] drugs. Well, I'm Mopars." Larry drives a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda with a 426 Hemi motor that once belonged to local racing legend Ray Christian. He's joined at the track by Mark Ipsen of the Midwest Nostalgia Pro Stock Association. Mark runs a 1979 AMC Concord with a modified 401 block V8 that he claims has dynoed at just under 1,000 horsepower. The biggest threat to any day on track is Mother Nature, who cast a threatening shadow over National Trail Raceway for much of the event. When the clouds and rain subsided, our cameras captured the grounds crew in action with blowers, torches, and a sticky compound that's sprayed the entire length of the track. Can Larry, Mark, and the rest of these Mopar fanatics make the most of the few runs they'll get? Stay tuned to find out.
