- Year: 1983
- Make: Chrysler
- Model: LeBaron
- Trim: Mark Cross Convertible 2-Door
- Engine: 2.6L 2555CC 156Cu. In. l4 GAS SOHC Naturally Aspirated
- Drive Type: FWD
Things that I think this convertible needs:
- The the left side window control located on the driver side door appears to not work, but the left side door window control for the window does work.
- Minor (at least to me it is minor) body damage to passenger side, back right corner of the convertible. See photo(s).
- Paint damage on top left, driver side quarter panel and paint scratch on driver side door as well as the area above the driver side headlight. See photo(s).
- Convertible top has approximately two to three tears which can be repaired by new owner. See photos.
- Driver side visor..the part that sticks out that connects to the area near the rear view mirror is missing, so the visor is not securely held; easy to find replacement online or in a yard.
- Plastic ashtray is broken. New ashtray can be found in most any yard or online.
- Power steering is tight, as you turn the car you need to put some strength into each turn, so I'm not sure if it just need power steering fluid or something else.
- One of the headlights is burnt out.
I invite all bidders to come inspect the vehicle for yourself prior to bidding and also bring your mechanic if you prefer, as I prefer everyone to check out the car in person prior to bidding if they can or send someone in their place, if you live too far away, to check it out for you; I think some mechanics will do this for a fee if you are not from the area;
I will gladly hold the vehicle for you at no charge for up to 30 days from date of purchase after which time you must contact me if you need me to hold it for a longer period, as I realize the winning bidder/buyer may end up living far from Pennsylvania and need time to make proper shipping arrangements. If you need me to hold the car beyond 30 days I will have to start charging storage fees of $75.00 (seventy five dollars per month) starting on the 2nd month from the date the auction ended, assuming that you do not pickup the vehicle within 30 days from the close of the auction.
If you have any other special needs or requests please email me via eBay. What is stated in this auction and sale ad takes precedent and shall prevail over anything verbally stated or stated via email or other communication. All bids are final and this vehicle is being sold in its present as-is original condition with no returns. Once the convertible sells and you take it home I do not want it back, as I have no way of knowing what you will do to the car after it leaves the property.
Please email me with any questions in case I have not addressed everything here.
Thank you for looking.

FB Tuning debuts 400-hp carbon-bodied Chrysler Crossfire in Monaco
Wed, 30 Apr 2014The Chrysler Crossfire was, suffice it to say, a matter of taste. Based on old Mercedes-Benz mechanicals, it included retro styling accents and an armadillo roofline. Some loved it, but there was clearly room for improvement - not to mention more sales - and that's just what Italian coachbuilder FB Tuning had to showcase at the Top Marques show in Monaco this year.
Called the FB-ONE, it's based on the Crossfire, which itself was based on the same R170 chassis as the first-generation Mercedes-Benz SLK. It packs the same 3.2-liter V6 as well, which FB claims to have tuned farther than anything Daimler-Chrysler ever managed with the same engine. Whereas the SLK32 AMG packed 354 horsepower and the Crossfire SRT-6 offered 330, the FB-One packs a nice, round 400 hp, which ought to be good for a 0-60 time of little over four seconds.
As you can see, that's not all they've done with FB-One. It's also been rebodied in carbon fiber, with gold accents, deep-dish alloys that look like they came out of a casino and the headlights from an Audi A8. Whether the result is your cup of tea likely depends, as it did with the Crossfire in the first place, on your own personal tastes, so check it out for yourself in the video below.
SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
Jeep hiring 1,000 part-time workers in Toledo on Wrangler, Cherokee demand
Wed, 12 Mar 2014The new Jeep Cherokee has been quite a success for Chrysler, but its factory workers are getting tired. The automaker has agreed to hire up to 1,000 part-time, temporary employees at its Toledo Assembly Complex where the CUV and Wrangler are built. It will allow the company to keep Jeep production moving, while giving laborers a break.
According to plant manager Chuck Padden in the Toledo Blade, full-time workers are regularly taking on 60 hours a week, and it's beginning to wear on them. "To get them more time off is important to us, to make sure they're refreshed, and can work safely," said Padden.
Chrysler has already hired 380 temporary, part-time workers for the plant, and 50 have been converted to full-time employees. The company is in the process of interviewing the rest of the new hires now and plans to have all 1,000 in place by the summer. They will work between 10 and 30 hours a week mostly on weekends for $15.78 per hour with limited benefits. The temporary positions will last "as long as demand continues for the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Cherokee," said Jodi Tinson, Chrysler spokesperson for manufacturing and labor communications, to Autoblog in an email.
