This auction is for a beautiful 1968 Chrysler Imperial Convertible. The car has been in our family since March of 2000. It was purchased so my mom and her Red Hat Club could ride in local parades in style. It was restored in 1999 by the previous owner as a show car and has been babied ever since. The body is in excellent condition with No rust or rust bubbles.
To Quote the previous owner she was a very nice original rust free car that under went a full cosmetic restoration. Paint is new (in 1999) and all the chrome was removed, cleaned, polished and re-plated as necessary. Interior is excellent original leather, the carpets were replaced, dash and door panels are excellent original bronze dash trim was all redone. Though he said nothing of it the front seats look like they were recovered and the back original. Other items rebuilt or replaced include brake system (complete including hoses), AC system, window motors, ect. The engine compartment was completely detailed; wheel covers were disassembled, cleaned, refinished and polished, and many other detail items were done with the intent of keeping the car indefinitely.
This was done 14 years ago but looks like it was done last year. This should be an indication of what a good job was done and how well my dad took care of her.
The car is fully optioned with power windows including wing windows, power locks, power seats, power top and all power assists. Am/FM radio with rear speaker. Tilt and telescoping steering wheel. The engine has the optional Dual 440 package.

Marchionne uses racial epithet to describe what must power future Alfa Romeo models
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Sergio Marchionne and his Fiat empire have a lot riding on the US return of the Alfa Romeo brand. The endeavor has been in progress for what feels like a lifetime - certainly for as long as Fiat has had the Chrysler brand under its Italian wing.
It's not surprising that Fiat CEO Marchionne needs a perfect first Alfa to mark a return to America. And here's where things get dicey. Nobody would argue with Marchionne's insistence that Alfa Romeo's be powered by Italian engines - as Marchionne himself is quoted to have said at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, "There are some things that are well done in Italy."
If not what he said, then, it's how he said it that has eyebrows raised. "I cannot come up with a schlock product, I just won't. I won't put an American engine into that car. With all due respect to my American friends, it needs to be a wop engine." Wait, what's that?
Interested, then not: Marchionne not 'chasing' a VW merger
Tue, Mar 14 2017Update (March 15, 2017) : Automotive News reports that FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne, regarding the suggested VW and FCA merger, said in a press conference "I have no interest." He also said that he "will not call Matthias," the CEO of VW. He did add that he would be willing to entertain anything VW brings up, but he has "no intention of chasing him." Despite this, Marchionne still took a moment to reinforce his favorable stance concerning mergers and consolidation. Last week, Volkswagen's CEO Matthias Mueller effectively shut down Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne's idea of the two automakers merging. However, it seems Mueller has softened, if only just, to the idea. According to Reuters, the CEO said in a press conference he is "not ruling out a conversation." However, he did say that he would like Marchionne to discuss with him directly the possibility rather than to the media. Though this statement certainly doesn't mean such a merger is happening, it's far more open than when he said outright the company isn't in any talks with anyone at the moment. His new stance also indicates that there may be people (lawyers, accountants, etc.) behind the scenes working out possible ways a merger could work. And even though this new development makes the prospect of a merger between the two companies a bit less bleak, it's still a long way from the "will they, won't they" relationship between GM and FCA. FCA's pursuit of GM involved emailing CEO Mary Barra and the threats of a hostile takeover, the latter of which resulted in some awkward statements about hugs. Only time will tell if VW becomes open enough for Marchionne to talk about hugs again. Related Video:
Dodge Hellcat orders on hold due to 'unprecedented demand'
Sun, Mar 15 2015Want to get your hands on a 707-horsepower Dodge Challenger or Charger Hellcat to call your very own? We don't blame you, and you're not alone. According to Motor Authority and confirmed by a spokesperson from Chrysler, Dodge has gotten so many orders for its stable of Hellcats that it simply cannot keep up with demand: "Due to unprecedented demand for the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcats, we are temporarily restricting orders while we validate current orders that are in the system." Put another way, if you're waiting for a Hellcat, your wait is likely to be a lot longer than you'd like. We've reached out to Chrysler to find out how long it might take for a new customer to get a new Hellcat, and we'll update if and when we hear back.
