2006 Chrysler Crossfire Base Convertible 2-door 3.2l on 2040-cars
Westmont, Illinois, United States
This is a 2006 Chrysler Crossfire Roadster that was purchased by my Dad from a dealer in Ohio in February 2014 and shipped to my Dad's second home in Wisconsin, his primary home being Florida and that is where the car is registered. My Dad passed away in April of this year so he really did not have time to enjoy the car. Anyway, I have a clean Florida title. Currently the car is garaged in Westmont, Illinois roughly 20 miles west of Chicago.
The car is in excellent condition and has obviously was well cared for. I do not have any maintenance history, but the car runs like new, the clutch operates smoothly and is noiseless, the transmission is tight and shifts smoothly. This little guy can fly for sure! I had the brakes inspected for wear and there is good life left on the brakes. The selling dealer in Ohio put on new tires and put it a new battery. The interior is like new, the cloth seats are not even worn, no rips or tears. The carpets and original mats are both in good shape, no stains. The top works correctly, the spoiler works go up and down at the preset speed, the cruise, air conditioning and heat work fine. The top shows minimal wear. Apparently all the previous owners were non-smokers since the car has no odor or any evidence of burn marks anywhere. In fact, the cigarette lighter is the only piece of equipment the car is missing. The exterior paint looks good and shines up well. No dents or large scratches or swirl marks. I did have a CarFax run and it shows no accidents or other issues. I have all of the original owner's manuals and three keys with the original remotes which all work. I also have the front liscense plate bracket still in the plastic bag from Chrysler since it was never installed on the car. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and the car is being sold "as is where is". A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours by the winner at the end of the auction. PayPal, cash or certified check is required. |

Fiat Chrysler target 850k sales in China by 2018
Sun, 11 May 2014Behind the vanguard of numerous Jeep models, two Chryslers, a smattering of Fiats and Alfa Romeos and local production through a joint venture with Guangzhou Automotive Group (GAG), Fiat Chrysler wants to increase sales in China more than six-fold by 2018. The group sold 130,000 cars in China in 2013, the aim for 2018 being 850,000 cars.
Ultimately it's expected that the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Wrangler, Renegade, the coming Grand Wagoneer and a sub-Renegade-sized crossover will either be built in or exported to the People's Republic. The Chrysler Town & Country and 300 will join the export list in 2016 and 2018 respectively, according to a report in Automotive News.
With a number of those vehicles not in production or perhaps even envisaged yet, and others not due on the local market until 2018, it will be interesting to see how Fiat Chrysler plans to achieve the target in the specified timeframe. The joint venture with GAG builds two products now, the Dodge Dart-based Fiat Viaggio launched two years ago - supposedly designed just for China - and the just-launched Fiat Ottimo, a hatchback version of the Viaggio. Fiat projected 300,000 Viagio sales in its first two years, that number has been adjusted downward to 94,000 and there doesn't appear to be an analyst alive that sees a good future for Fiat in China's overrun mainstream market. Still, last year's 130,000 group sales in China is a huge jump from 2012 sales of 66,000 units, but less than half the 300,000 units it projected.
Chrysler's Jefferson North plant builds 5-millionth SUV [w/video]
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Chrysler's Jefferson North Assembly Plant opened in 1992 for production of the first Jeep Grand Cherokee, but in the subsequent years, the Detroit plant has gone on to produce some of the company's biggest SUVs including the Jeep Commander and Dodge Durango. Earlier this week, the plant produced its five-millionth SUV, which, fittingly, was a Grand Cherokee.
Celebrating the plant's five-millionth unit, the silver 2014 Grand Cherokee was promptly donated to the USO. In addition to this milestone SUV, Chrysler also had a near-perfect 1993-95 ZJ Grand Cherokee on hand for the photo op. Scroll down for the Chrysler press release as well as a video showing some of the speeches from the celebration.
2013 Dodge Dart gets all Moparized
Fri, 08 Feb 2013Last year, Chrysler announced it would be offering more than 150 Mopar parts and accessories on the 2013 Dodge Dart, and we got a look at some of these parts firsthand at the Chicago Auto Show. Showing off all the optional parts at once would surely create a gaudy monstrosity, so Chrysler chose to equip this particular Dart GT with just a handful of Mopar goodies, which still gave the car a nice and tasteful custom look that is available straight from the dealership (and with a full warranty, too).
Decked out in a factory color called Header Orange Clear Coat - also a very appropriate show car hue - this car added exterior styling parts such as the vented, carbon fiber hood, the bolt-on front chin spoiler and a matte black decklid spoiler. Looking inside the car, you'd think the red-accented interior is part of the Mopar parts bin, too, but this is actually what the standard Dart GT cabin will look like when it goes on sale.
