I am selling my wife's 2009 PT Cruiser Touring Edition

This is a very clean car with the following features/condition:

·       VIN: 3A8FY58969T577725

·       2.4L SFI DOHC, 16V Engine

·       Front Wheel Drive

·       4 speed Automatic Transmission

·       With a touch of a button, it shows you range, outside temperature, mileage, or direction

·       Power driver seat, windows, steering and locks. After market floor mats – my wife loves them

·       Radio (AM, FM and satellite-will keep till expiration) with single CD player

·       70,558 miles – below average  Gerutti DS806 tires show great tread left on them - at least 80%

·       Brand new brakes all the way around – around 1000 miles ago

·       Oil regularly changed. Mechanic is available to chat

·       Classic White exterior paint – no significant chips or dings. Rear wiper and defogger

·       Grey cloth seats – no flaws; Black steering wheel material shows some wear

·       Aftermarket interior horn chrome button installed next to steering wheel on dash. Horn does not work via steering wheel – my mechanic thinks it had a short in it at some time. New horn button adapts well with retro look – Very cool!  Horn button is visible in photo - uses original horn.  The only other idiosyncrasy is that the lights do not flash, nor does the horn sound when locked via the remote button.  Mechanic says that is a microchip in the security system.  It has never bothered me - I am simply trying to describe everything perfectly.

·       Car was first registered to a rental agency for 39,000 miles (that means regular maintenance); only owned in SOCAL

·       Carfax is perfect (no accidents) showing the vehicle is worth $150 more than book value

·       Edmunds private sale is $6486 and KBB private sale is $7165

·       Am Selling because of Pending Retirement to Mexico - I bought a truck for those roads

·       Great gas mileage with enough get-up-and-go for San Diego freeway driving

I have described the vehicle as best as I can.  I have been on Ebay since 1996.  Please check out my perfect feedback which includes several vehicles sold.  Buy with confidence.  Thanks for looking at my car.

Pentastar Power: A look inside the Detroit factory that pumps out FCA's potent V6

Tue, Mar 14 2017

The Mack Avenue Engine Plant is one of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' most historic and prolific factories. It pumped out 260,000 Pentastar V6 engines last year, providing power for everything from the Jeep Grand Cherokee to the Dodge Challenger. FCA and its predecessor, Chrysler, has owned the factory since 1953 and it briefly built the Dodge Viper in the 1990s. It's made engines since 1998 and began building the Pentastar in 2014. We got an inside look at the mighty Mack, helping to tear down a Pentastar engine and then a tour of the factory floor. This is what it's like. Ferrari officially files SEC paperwork to register future IPO

Thu, Jul 23 2015

Late last year FCA announced plans to spin off Ferrari into a separate company, and after a long wait that process has finally become official. The Prancing Horse has now filed the necessary prospectus and other documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission to hold an initial public offering on The New York Stock Exchange. The paperwork doesn't mention a specific date for the Italian sportscar maker's IPO, but it's expected sometime in October. At this point, the documents also don't include some other vital data about the IPO. Ferrari lists neither the number of shares being offered nor their price. The company also doesn't have a stock symbol yet. UBS, BofA Merrill Lynch and Santander are acting as joint book runners for the deal. As part of the IPO, FCA initially intends to sell 10 percent of Ferrari's shares on the stock market. Another 10 percent of the company still belongs to Piero Ferrari. FCA is holding onto the remaining 80 percent in the short term for financial reasons but intends to distribute them to shareholders in early 2016. After the spin-off, about 24 percent of Ferrari would be owned by Exor, 10 percent by Piero Ferrari, and 66 percent by public shareholders, according to the SEC documents. FCA boss Sergio Marchionne believes that Ferrari could be worth over $11 billion. Although, his estimate might be slightly high. According to Reuters, Wall Street is actually putting the value somewhere between $5.5 billion and $11 billion. If you're thinking about investing in the company or just want to read the nitty-gritty about the brand's financial health, the entire SEC filing can be read here. Ferrari Files for Initial Public Offering LONDON, July 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. ("FCA") announced today that its subsidiary, New Business Netherlands N.V. (to be renamed Ferrari N.V.), has filed a registration statement on Form F-1 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") for a proposed initial public offering of common shares currently held by FCA. The number of common shares to be offered and the price range for the proposed offering have not yet been determined, although the proposed offering is not expected to exceed 10% of the outstanding common shares. In connection with the initial public offering, Ferrari intends to apply to list its common shares on the New York Stock Exchange.

Car Club USA: Chrysler Power Classic

Wed, Jul 22 2015

Car Club USA heads to the Buckeye State for some high-octane drag racing at the Chrysler Power Classic. And for these amateur drag racers, nothing but Mopar muscle will do. "I would say Mopar is kind of a way of life," says Larry Augenstine. "Some people get addicted to lemonade, or beer, [or] drugs. Well, I'm Mopars." Larry drives a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda with a 426 Hemi motor that once belonged to local racing legend Ray Christian. He's joined at the track by Mark Ipsen of the Midwest Nostalgia Pro Stock Association. Mark runs a 1979 AMC Concord with a modified 401 block V8 that he claims has dynoed at just under 1,000 horsepower. The biggest threat to any day on track is Mother Nature, who cast a threatening shadow over National Trail Raceway for much of the event. When the clouds and rain subsided, our cameras captured the grounds crew in action with blowers, torches, and a sticky compound that's sprayed the entire length of the track. Can Larry, Mark, and the rest of these Mopar fanatics make the most of the few runs they'll get? Stay tuned to find out. Each Car Club USA episode features a different car club or event from across the US, where passionate owner communities gather to share automotive experiences and embark on incredible adventures.
