Up for bids my beloved 1998 Chrysler Sebring Convertible Limited This car is being sold AS IS for either REPAIR or PARTS. The body is in fair condition, it doesn't have any major dents, only some of those dents cars get in parking lots when others open their doors, nothing major. This car has never been in an accident. When the car gets washed it looks very nice! It has a very nice look, I honestly hate to get rid of it, but I already have another car. The car was dripping oil for some time now, my husband says the engine needs work, in the process of making a decision to fix it or to buy a another car, I was driving the Sebring and checking the oil every week, I didn't have to put oil every week but checked it for safety. One day last week the oil started leaking fast and I had to drive home in a hurry, it has been parked ever since. The car starts and runs, but I haven't drove it since the big oil leak. Things that work great :) RADIO CD PLAYER AC COLD/HOT AIR CONVERTIBLE TOP POWER LOCKS Things that need repair :( DRIVER DOOR (makes a clicking noice when opening and closing, needs new door stopper) UPOLSTERY NEEDS TLC (Driver Seat definitely needs upolstery, the rest could use it too, but it is functional) Tires need to be replaced too Mechanically ENGINE needs Core plugs for engine block and Valve cover gasket, this was before the big oil leak, there might be more issues, but so far those are the ones I know for sure. 2015 Chrysler 300 looks to recapture its mojo in LA
Wed, 19 Nov 2014Chrysler's 300 sedan has never been a shrinking violet, but it arguably lost a bit of swagger when its second-generation model bowed. There was no way that an evolutionary design could ever upend the automotive establishment the way the original 2005 model did, but even so, something was clearly left on the table when the 2011 model bowed.
You don't have take our word for it - Chrysler knows it, too. Reflecting back upon the second-generation model's styling today, Ralph Gilles, Chrysler's senior vice president of design is refreshingly candid, telling Autoblog, "Our previous generation of leaders didn't understand the car very well, and kind of forced this front end on us." For 2015, Gilles and Co. have worked to recapture some of the 2005 design's lightning in a bottle. In Gilles' words, the brief for the refreshed 2015 model was to "give the car the attitude it deserves... up the attitude, up the presence."
Visually, the new 300 initially appears very similar to the current car, but closer inspection and side-by-side comparisons reveal countless changes, the most noticeable being a much larger front grille (by about 30 percent), redone light fixtures and a 'Mobius-strip' lower fascia that picks up where the new 200 left off. The cabin has been upgraded, too, with a standard seven-inch display in the gauge cluster, the latest UConnect infotainment system and improved material choices.
Fiat-Chrysler alliance in jeopardy due to Pentastar's IPO filing?
Thu, 26 Sep 2013The four-year relationship between Fiat and Chrysler has thus far been beneficial for both automakers, but it has also proven to be a complicated battle between Sergio Marchionne and the United Auto Workers - the latter controlling the remaining 41.5 percent of Chrysler. With the recent filing for a US IPO, it looks like Marchionne and the UAW appear to be playing a billion-dollar game of chicken, with both sides far apart on how much the union's shares are worth. If it comes down to Chrysler's remaining stake being publicly traded, it could act to drive a wedge between the two companies.
According to Bloomberg, Fiat's chairman John Elkann says "if the IPO will take place, there will be two companies, and that's different than having a single one." Now, we're not great at math, but this sounds like the complete opposite of the full merger that Marchionne has been pushing for since taking the helm at Chrysler. Bloomberg notes that the UAW's shares should be worth around $5.6 billion, but Fiat could end up paying as little as $4.9 billion for Fiat to gain full control of Chrysler. A story by The Detroit News points out that Marchionne's "alleged low-balling" is just the latest hurdle the Auburn Hills-based automaker must overcome as its ownership is being fought over for the fourth time in 15 years.
Chrysler's Jefferson North plant builds 5-millionth SUV [w/video]
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Chrysler's Jefferson North Assembly Plant opened in 1992 for production of the first Jeep Grand Cherokee, but in the subsequent years, the Detroit plant has gone on to produce some of the company's biggest SUVs including the Jeep Commander and Dodge Durango. Earlier this week, the plant produced its five-millionth SUV, which, fittingly, was a Grand Cherokee.
Celebrating the plant's five-millionth unit, the silver 2014 Grand Cherokee was promptly donated to the USO. In addition to this milestone SUV, Chrysler also had a near-perfect 1993-95 ZJ Grand Cherokee on hand for the photo op.
