I had to relist this auction because I was not able to add the info needed to the first one.
When I brought the car to my house as described below the truck was locked and there was no key. While fielding questions about parts I realized there is too much missing from the car and I remember seeing all that stuff at some point. Anyway, I got into the truck and found all of the missing parts. So I canceled the first auction and started this one. This way everyone has all of the information from the start. Thank you.

I have owned this car since 1980.
I used to drive it all the time but over the past ten years it has been sitting in my driveway.
I changed the top but my cat and the weather were able to tear it up.
The car was always stored with a high quality cover. I changed the cover about five times over the years. The car was last stored at my office for about six years. I just sold that building and so you can see in some of the photos the car was towed to my house.
I just now wrapped it in the blue non breathable tarp knowing it would only be here for a week or two. My village is very picky about unregistered cars in the driveway, which is why I covered it.
The car is all original. The dashboard with the dome panel. The push button transmission gears. All of the chrome. Most of the missing interior parts in the photos are packed nicely in the trunk.
The car has little to no surface rust.
I haven't started the engine in a few years.
This car needs a full restoration. I have a clean TRANSFERABLE REGISTRATION, which in NY for 1970 and older is the same thing as a title.
It is a great project car for anyone who has the time and the effort.
The car is located on Long Island in NY. Anyone is welcome to see the car before or after winning the auction.
Once payment is made the sale will be final.
Buyer is responsible for all transpiration of the vehicle.
The car must be removed within ten days of sale.

About the car itself.
The engine is a big block. I am not sure of the engine size exactly.
There is one carb and everything is original.
At some point I was going to restore the car and so I took apart the interior. It is all sitting in the trunk.
All the door panels and little reading lights and power window switches are all there.
There exterior 300 emblems are in great condition.
The top is ripped up but the mechanics of the top work fine.
You can see the truck photos show no rust or bond.
Even though the car sat it held up very well. This was a running and driving car with working everything when I last used it. But that was a while ago. So the only thing wrong with the car would be time and lack of use.

2017 Chrysler Pacifica is perfect for town and country

Mon, Jan 11 2016

The Pacifica has returned. In a surprising move, Chrysler revived the name of its old three-row CUV for the long-serving Town & Country's replacement. That's a bold strategy. Let's see if it pays off. Chrysler's new minivan offers a tremendous improvement on its predecessor in terms of interior and exterior design, available technology, and powertrain. Design inspiration is most clearly drawn from the brand's 200 sedan, both inside and out. Gone are the egg-crate grille, blocky headlights, and vertical taillights of the old van, all of which have been replaced with slim, stylish units. Doubtlessly destined for high-end trims, Chrysler will also offer a 200-style, two-tone interior with over 35 inches of screen real estate. 8.4 inches are reserved for the central UConnect display, while drivers have their own seven-inch display in the instrument cluster. As for the kiddies, they're the big winners, with a pair of ten-inch touchscreen displays in the back. Underhood, the big news is reserved for the new plug-in-hybrid powertrain. You can read all about that here. For right now, we'll focus on the familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and its accompanying nine-speed automatic transmission. There is 287 horsepower, 262 pound-feet of torque, and what will likely be a healthy improvement in fuel economy over the old Town & Country. You can read much more on the all-new Pacifica from our original post last night. We've also got a fresh gallery of live images from its big debut here at Detroit's Cobo Center, available up top.

Zombie cars: Discontinued vehicles that aren't dead yet

Thu, Jan 6 2022

Car models come and go, but as revealed by monthly sales data, once a car is discontinued, it doesn't just disappear instantly. And in the case of some models, vanishing into obscurity can be a slow, tedious process. That's the case with the 12 cars we have here. All of them have been discontinued, but car companies keep racking up "new" sales with them. There are actually more discontinued cars that are still registering new sales than what we decided to include here. We kept this list to the oldest or otherwise most interesting vehicles still being sold as new, including a supercar. We'll run the list in alphabetical order, starting with *drumroll* ... BMW 6 Series: 55 total sales BMW quietly removed the 6 Series from the U.S. market during the 2019 model year. It had been available in three configurations, a hardtop coupe, a convertible and a sleek four-door coupe-like shape.   BMW i8: 18 total sales We've always had a soft spot for the BMW i8, despite the fact that it never quite fit into a particular category. It was sporty, but nowhere near as fast as similarly-priced competitors. It looked very high-tech and boasted a unique carbon fiber chassis design and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but wasn't really designed for maximum efficiency or maximum performance. Still, the in-betweener was very cool to look at and drive, and 18 buyers took one home over the course of 2021.   Chevy Impala: 750 total sales The Impala represented classic American tastes at a time when American tastes were shifting away from soft-riding sedans with big interior room and trunk space and into higher-riding crossovers. A total of 750 sales were inked last year.   Chrysler 200: 15 total sales The Chrysler 200 was actually a pretty nice sedan, with good looks and decent driving dynamics let down by a lack of roominess, particularly in the back seat. Of course, as we said regarding the Chevy Impala, the number of Americans in the market for sedans is rapidly winding down, and other automakers are following Chrysler's footsteps in canceling their slow-selling four-doors. Even if Chrysler never really found its footing in the ultra-competitive midsize sedan segment, apparently dealerships have a few leftover 2017 200s floating around. And for some reason, 15 buyers decided to sign the dotted line to take one of these aging sedans home last year.

Marchionne to take his sweater and go home after 2018

Wed, 08 Oct 2014

The end is in sight for Fiat Chrysler boss Sergio Marchionne, who confirmed in an interview with Bloomberg that once FCA's sweeping five-year plan is completed, he'd be stepping down from his post to "undoubtedly" do something else that didn't involve turning around global corporations. That would mean he should finish up after 2018 if all goes according to plan.
"It's as important to walk away from the table as it is to sit down," Marchionne told Bloomberg.
Marchionne has been at Fiat since June of 2004 and is one of the chief architects behind the Italian company's acquisition of Chrysler. Despite his successes, he does sound quite ready to move beyond the auto industry, rhetorically asking his Bloomberg interviewers if there "are other things I like to do apart from this?"
