ok so im selling my trailblazer ss, i really do not want to sell the truck but i hardly ever drive it and were buying a house and could use a little extra cash.

the truck is an 08 model with the 3SS package heated seats sunroof and navi 08 is the best year for the ss it has a updated motor and rear suede seats only the 08 model has this.

the truck has about 5000 miles on the new engine. the truck had 87,601 miles as of today and i hardly drive it so it shouldn't go up much is any before the end of the auction.

i bought the truck from a dealer on ebay  called parks mazda and there horrible people!. they put an oil change sticker in the window when i first bought the truck and the engine was way low on oil so it spun the rod bearings less then 300 miles after i bought it. SO i had the engine totally rebuilt new oem gm crank and rods i had stainless valves installed 3 angle valve job, viton valve stem seals new chrome moly rings. ls7 gm lifters all cleveite race coated bearings for the rods mains and cam bearings and a melling high volume oil pump. so nothing to boost power just to make it super reliable.oh and always have ran royal purple in her its the best oil in my opinion. everything ive done to this truck is to increase fuel mileage or reliability. i do not drive the truck hard im not a kid. i have many expensive cars and trucks.

heres the list of stuff ive added to the truck while ive owned it and other things ive replaced,im very meticulous about maintenance.

so i took off the factory clutch fan setup and put an ls1 fan kit on it with the proper wiring harness so it kicks the fans on at 205* and off at 185* and they kick on whenever the a/c is on.
i have all the original stuff if you wanted to put it back on.
i installed a k&n intake to increase fuel mileage, i also have the original intake system if you want to put it back.
i bought a superchips cortex programmer also to save on fuel and it lets you turn the shift pressure up so you can get much more life out of the transmission.
i put brembo drilled and slotted rotors front and rear with ceramic pads and at that time i also put new hub bearings on both front hubs.
last i installed an aftermarket transmission cooler that's mounted in the front of the truck so the tranny stays cool.
I installed some aftermarket tail lights,i like em i think they look good but if you prefer the stock ones i still have them as well.
i put in 6k hid head lights and the interior has all led lighting so it really lights up the truck at night also i put led bulbs in the license plate bulbs and in the reverse lights there very bright backing up at night time.
of course all fluids are brand new
i really love this truck.

only thing i would say that it might need in the future is tires, there goodyear eagles and there about 35-45% tread left

for the audio system i put in a nice sony navigation unit because the factory navi unit was horrible and i had it professionally installed and all the steering wheel controls work with the after market radio.
also there is a kenwood 1000w amp with a jl 10" sub in the back for a lil bass.

if you have kids like i do they will love the rear drop down dvd system with the wireless head phones.

oh also as you can see in the ad the truck has on board air so with a hose that will reach to any tire on the truck and it has attachments for blowing up a beach ball and other things. its pretty cool.

the truck runs like a new one and is in very nice shape i take very good care of it. like i said i do not want to see it go and i dont have to sell it, im setting the reserve at 18,500 witch is very low for this truck you will not find another one like it.

also i own the truck and i hold the title so a quick cash sale will be easy. if you're trying to get a loan from the bank to buy it please contact me first. i prefer cash buyers that's the way i buy my cars but i understand everybody doesn't have that kinda cash. feel free to call or text me with any questions you might have, im also up for a TRADES?  MAYBE!

you can call or text me at 678-382-9059 from 9 am till midnight 7 days. if i left out any detail please let me know THANKS!

if you're not local and are getting the truck shipped i have no problem meeting with the shipper and watching them load it etc etc. im self employed so i can meet anytime

24 Hours of Le Mans live update part two

Sun, Jun 19 2016

We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice. Parker lives in Hawaii and can hold his breath longer than he can go without swearing. For Part One, click here. Or you can skip ahead to Part Three here. I write about surfing for a living. If you can call it a living. Basically means I spend my days fucking around and my wife pays for everything. Because she's got a real job that pays well. Brings home the bacon. Very progressive arrangement. Super twenty first century. I run a surf website, beachgrit.com, with two other guys. It's a strange gig. More or less uncensored. Kind of popular. Very good at alienating advertisers. My behavior has cost us a few bucks. I'm terrible at self-censorship. Know there's a line out there, no idea where it lies. I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. For contests I do long rambling write ups. They rarely make much sense. Mainly just talk about my life, whatever random thoughts pop into my head. "Can you do something similar for Le Mans?" "Sure, but I know absolutely fuck-all about racing." "That's okay. Just write what you want." "Will do. But you're gonna need to edit my stuff. Probably censor it heavily." So here I am. I spent the last week trying to learn all I can about the sport of endurance racing. But there's only so much you can jam in your head. And I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. While I rambled things were happening. Tracy Krohn spun into the gravel on the Forza chicane. #89 is out of the race after an accident I missed. Pegasus racing hit the wall on the Porsche curves. Bashed up front end, in the garage getting fixed. Toyota and Porsche are swapping back and forth in the front three. Ford back in the lead in GTE Pro. #91 Porsche took a stone through the radiator, down two laps. Not good. The wife and I are one of those weird childless couples that spend way too much time caring for the needs of their pet. French bulldog, Mr Eugene Victor Debs. Great little guy. Spent the last four years training him to be obedient and friendly. Nice thing about dogs, when you're sick of dealing with them you can just lock 'em in another room for a few hours. You don't need to worry about paying for college.

Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R named Road & Track Performance Car of the Year

Mon, Nov 9 2015

With a 526-horsepower, 5.2-liter V8 that roars to 8,250 rpm, it's really hard to consider the 2016 Ford Shelby Mustang GT350R an underdog in any fight. However, the Shelby held the lowest as-tested price and was only middle of the pack in terms of power in Road & Track's 2016 Performance Car of the Year challenge. The 'Stang's numbers clearly didn't tell the whole story about the potent coupe because Ford's muscle car grabbed the title in this year's test. A model needs to be new or significantly updated to be eligible for the honor, and R&T found an impressive slate of eight candidates this year. The challengers included the Bentley Continental GT3-R, Cadillac ATS-V Coupe, Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Dodge Viper ACR, Mercedes-AMG GT S, and Porsche Cayman GT4. The Ferrari 488 GTB was the most expensive of the bunch with an as-tested price of $347,942, which is five times more than the Shelby. Once the group was together, R&T hustled them over curving roads and on the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park. There was a lot to love about the Shelby, even in this impressive crew. "With a flat-plane crank and Sport Cup 2 tires, the GT350R is a Mustang turned up to 11," editor-in-chief Larry Webster said in the announcement of the results. The GT350R joins some great company. Past winners include the Porsche 911 GT3 last year and the Corvette in 2013. For some fantastic photography and the complete appraisal of these performance machines check out R&T's website for the full story. Related Video: ROAD & TRACK NAMES THE FORD MUSTANG SHELBY GT350R THE 2016 PERFORMANCE CAR OF THE YEAR New York, NY (November 9, 2015) – Road & Track today named the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R the 2016 Performance Car of the Year, beating out seven of the world's best new sports cars. The article appears in the December/January issue, on newsstands November 17, and on RoadandTrack.com. "With a flat-plane crank and Sport Cup 2 tires, the GT350R is a Mustang turned up to 11," said Larry Webster, editor-in-chief of Road & Track. "Not only does the car have soul and harness so much firepower with such ease, but the real achievement here is that it's so approachable. It's a car you can't help but love." The Mustang Shelby GT350R was the winner by a runaway vote.

Mustang, Camaro, Challenger gallop onto USPS pony car postage stamp set

Tue, Jul 19 2022

Some of America's most iconic cars are about to be immortalized on postage stamps. A new set by the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the the golden era of pony cars, featuring five classic examples of Detroit iron. Each one is beautifully illustrated in oil-on-canvas style, with subjects in motion and sunlight glinting off the chrome, and would add a nice touch to any first-class letter. The pony car segment was all about (relatively) small, sporty alternatives to the full-size land yachts of the 1960s. They typically came equipped with 6-cylinder engines or small-block V8s. The category was named after the Ford Mustang, henceĀ  the name. Some, though, argue that the Plymouth Barracuda, which was launched a couple of weeks before the Mustang, is the first. Luckily, the Falcon-based Mustang's distinct styling generated a sales sensation, or we might be calling them fish cars. Appropriately, one of the featured cars is a Mustang. But it's not just any Mustang. The 1969 Boss 302, seen here resplendent in Bright Yellow, was created for the hotly-contested SCCA Trans-Am racing series. One of its main rivals would have been the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28, also created specifically for the series, and is included in the set in Fathom Green. Representing Auburn Hills in the set is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Plum Crazy, while Southfield's American Motors gets a nod with an AMC Javelin in Big Bad Orange. The Mustang's platform cousin, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7, is portrayed in a gorgeous Burgundy Poly that almost looks incomplete without Neko Case on the hood. It's not the first time the USPS has honored America's rich car culture on its stamps. In 2013, it issues a series of muscle car stamps with the help of Richard Petty. That set featured a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1970 Chevelle SS, 1970 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda and, of course, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Another set in 2016 featured classic pickup trucks. Going further back, a 2008 release had chroed and finned automobiles of the 1950sĀ and a 2005 release featured sporty American cars of the same era. The pony car stamps will debut on August 25 at the Great American Stamp Show in Sacramento, California in partnership with theĀ American Philatelic Society. The public is free to attend the dedication ceremony, but you must RSVP first. After that, they will be available at local post offices and on line at the USPS store.
