2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer ***bank Owned*** 1 Owner *** L@@k Chatsworth, Ga on 2040-cars
Chatsworth, Georgia, United States
Up for auction is a bank owned, 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS with 143,400 + miles. The car was purchased new by the bank and driven daily by our CFO who turned the car in approximately 1 year ago. Since then, it has been used by the bank as our courier vehicle. The vehicle has been properly maintained and has just recently been professionally detailed inside and out and had the oil changed. The car has never been in an accident. Below is a summary of each area of the car: Exterior: The car is a silver metallic color with no visible body damage. The paint overall is in good condition; however, the hood does show some minor signs of wear and fading. The car does have a few small knicks and/or scratches but this is to be expected with a 2006 model. The car has aftermarket step up bars and window visors installed. Headlights are not cracked but are a little foggy. All windows are intact with no cracks visible. The wheels are in good condition; however, the tires will probably need replaced within the new few thousand miles. I am guessing the front end is out of alignment because the front tires have an abnormal wear pattern. Interior: The interior is grey cloth and is in good condition with no staining, holes or tears in the seats or carpet. The car was never smoked in. The headliner is in OK condition, no holes but there are a few very small stains above the driver’s seat (maybe a coffee splatter). All of the trim is intact. The dash is not cracked. There are 2 hairline cracks on the clear plastic piece that covers the speedometer area. The cargo area is clean and the jack and spare tire are in place. The radio and CD player work. All power options work as they should. Mechanical: The car has been a daily driver and still drives fine. No unusual noises or movements are noticed while driving. As mentioned, it has been properly maintained with the oil changed every 3k miles, transmission serviced at the proper intervals, etc. The transmission shifts smooth with no noticeable problems. Only one key and one remote is available. The “Check Engine Light” is on. We have had this diagnosed by a local ASE Certified mechanic and are told that the codes the computer is sending are as follows: P0128: This is related to the thermostat. We are told that it has something to do with the idle temperature. P0456: This is related to the evaporation system. We are told that there is most likely a small leak one of the lines that cycles the fumes from the fuel. The mechanic stated that neither issue would impact the drivability of the vehicle and that it was not necessary to fix either problem. He further estimated that to fix both items, the cost would be approximately $515. The bank will not pay for these items to be repaired. Below is a link to a Youtube video. Check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaRs8ZxnC1o Overall, this vehicle would make someone a good daily driver. Keep in mind that I am a banker, not a mechanic and the opinions stated are my own, not the banks. The vehicle is being sold as it with no warranty either expressed or implied. I encourage any potential bidder to inspect the vehicle prior to bidding. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. If you would like a photo of a particular item or area of the car, please ask. I can be reached between 8:30am – 7:00pm EST at 706-270-4752 or via email at brad.ramsey@fnbcga.com. Winning bidder will be responsible for any taxes or fees associated with transferring title. The winning bidder will receive a clear Georgia title as well as a bill of sale. Payment via cash or certified check. The vehicle must be picked up within 7 days unless prior arrangement is made. Thanks for looking and good luck. |

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.
Here's how Detroit is selling more luxury vehicles than Germany and Japan
Sun, Dec 14 2014Now there's an attention-grabbing headline, eh? Although the answer to the riddle - pickup trucks and SUVs - might be somehow deflating, the numbers involved deserve a going over. According to TrueCar's figures (click on the table to enlarge), six of the year's ten best-selling vehicles in the US that sell for a transaction price above $50,000 are body-on-frame, and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the only foreigner to crack the top five. Every enthusiast knows that pickup trucks are 'Murica's most popular vehicle by a colossal margin, and there have been plenty of reports about the popularity of luxuriously appointed trucks and SUVs, but compare these figures from TrueCar: 70 percent of Chevrolet Tahoe sales have a transaction price above $50K, and The Bowtie is expected to make $3.9 billion in revenue on 66,945 predicted high-dollar sales; 95.1 percent of E-Class sales break $50K, so the German company will make $4.0 billion on 67,006 predicted sales in that pricing sphere. It's about the only time you'll see the Tahoe ranked right next to Mercedes' bread-and-butter sedan. Ram is ahead of those two with $4.2B coming from $50K-plus sales. The Ford F-Series does almost as much revenue as the next three combined, with an expected $10.8 billion coming from sales of trucks over $50K - more than a quarter of the model's total sales, when a base F-150 can be had for about $26,000. Yes, the Germans make a lot more money on fewer sales, but considering the comparison, the bottom line isn't too troubled by such facts. Weighing like-for-like, the full-size Ford walks it in every category; elsewhere, the Chevrolet Silverado outsells the Ram, but the Ram outsells the Chevy by 6.7 percent above $50K. And for all the flak GMC takes over swapping out grilles, the Sierra also outsells the Chevy in the well-appointed segment, 16.1 percent of sales versus 11 percent – the Professional Grade brand is a huge profit center for The General. You'll find more info in the TrueCar press release below. TrueCar finds pickup trucks far outsell premium brands among top 10 vehicles over $50,000 Ford F-Series pickup sales over $50,000 surpass combined BMW 3, 5, 7 Series luxury car sales SANTA MONICA, Calif. (December 10, 2014) - TrueCar, Inc., the negotiation-free car buying and selling platform, finds mainstream pickup trucks and sport-utility vehicles dominate U.S.
Peter Max staring down $1M lawsuit over Corvette collection sale
Wed, Dec 17 2014Pop artist Peter Max recently sold off his collection of 36 vintage Chevrolet Corvettes – one each from 1953 to 1989 – for an undisclosed amount. The new owners have already announced plans to restore some of them and auction the models off sometime soon. Up until then, the sports cars had been languishing in various garages around New York City for decades and were caked in dust and grime. However, Max's end of the transaction has just become more complicated, because two men are suing the artist claiming he employed them to complete the deal first. The men allege that Max hired them to broker the sale of the 36 Corvettes in exchange for a 10-percent commission, according to the New York Post. They claim to have emails and text messages proving the existence of the deal, and are taking Max to court for $1 million over the squabble. The collection of Corvettes was amassed in 1989 as part of a prize package from the television network VH1, and Max bought the cars from the winner intending on using them for an art project. He never got around to it, though, and parked the sports cars around New York, until he finally sold them over the summer.
