2009 Chevrolet Tahoe Police/ PPV package.

I am selling this vehicle due to not having the use for it anymore. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, runs flawlessly, no mechanical or electrical issues, runs and drives like it should. This Tahoe has the 5.3L V8, and is a very strong and powerful truck. It currently has 82704 miles on the odometer, but this number will slightly increase.

This truck has many options on it: power door locks, power seats, power windows, tinted windows, CD player, low mileage, cloth front seats, vinyl rear seats, spotlight on drivers side, big 5.3L V8 engine, and lots more.. added options include: heavy duty catch-all rubber floor mats, full size factory console.

No holes on the dash, floor, interior panels, or rooftop from police equipment. There is a small antenna on the top that is not being used, but the connection is ran to the center console if you desire to install a scanner or radio.

The BEST feature about this Tahoe is- It has NEVER been commissioned with any agency or used in a FLEET program. It was purchased by a firefighter for civilian use to drive back and forth to the fire station. He traded this vehicle in for a new truck, and I bought it from the dealership for civilian use to first respond and carry my K9 off-duty for training. Since this vehicle has been civilian owned since new- IT COMES WITH A LIFETIME POWERTRAIN WARRANTY.

There are LED lightbars installed, as well as a Whelen siren. All controlled by a Whelen CenCom lightbar controller. An extra CenCom controller will be included (approx. $550 value). HOWEVER, proper credentials must be seen prior to pick up, or the LED lights and siren will be removed professionally. I will not sell the LED lights or siren separately or with the Tahoe if you have no proper use for them. All LED lightbars are R/B. Split lightbar in the windshield has flashing white takedowns. Grille, running boards, and rear side window LEDs are split R/B. The rear lightbar is an amber traffic director with R/B far sides with many patterns.

I do have a lien on this vehicle with my credit union. I will require a $500 deposit at the time of auction end, and require the remaining balance to be paid within 7 days, unless an agreement is made for other terms.

Please do not bid or make offers if you do not have the funds readily available. I do not have the means to owner finance or lease, and Im not currently interested in trades at this time.

Thanks for looking and having interest in my Tahoe. I can send more pictures if needed. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. I will respond accordingly.

Impala SS vs. Marauder: Recalling Detroit’s muscle sedans

Thu, Apr 30 2020

Impala SS vs. Marauder — it was comparo that only really happened in theory. ChevyÂ’s muscle sedan ran from 1994-96, while MercuryÂ’s answer arrived in 2003 and only lasted until 2004. TheyÂ’re linked inextricably, as there were few options for powerful American sedans during that milquetoast period for enthusiasts. The debate was reignited recently among Autoblog editors when a pristine 1996 Chevy Impala SS with just 2,173 miles on the odometer hit the market on Bring a Trailer. Most of the staff favored the Impala for its sinister looks and said that it lived up to its billing as a legit muscle car. Nearly two-thirds of you agree. We ran an unscientific Twitter poll that generated 851 votes, 63.9 percent of which backed the Impala. Muscle sedans, take your pick: — Greg Migliore (@GregMigliore) April 14, 2020 Then and now enthusiasts felt the Impala was a more complete execution with guts. The Marauder, despite coming along later, felt more hacked together, according to prevailing sentiments. Why? On purpose and on paper theyÂ’re similar. The ImpalaÂ’s 5.7-liter LT1 V8 making 260 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque was impressive for a two-ton sedan in the mid-Â’90s. The Marauder was actually more powerful — its 4.6-liter V8 was rated at 302 hp and 318 lb-ft. The ImpalaÂ’s engine was also used in the C4 Corvette. The MarauderÂ’s mill was shared with the Mustang Mach 1. You can see why they resonated so deeply with Boomers longing for a bygone era and also captured the attention of coming-of-age Gen Xers. Car and DriverÂ’s staff gave the Marauder a lukewarm review back in ‘03, citing its solid handling and features, yet knocking the sedan for being slow off the line. In a Hemmings article appropriately called “Autopsy” from 2004, the ImpalaÂ’s stronger low-end torque and smooth shifting transmission earned praise, separating it from the more sluggish Mercury. All of this was captured in the carsÂ’ acceleration times, highlighting metrically the differences in their character. The Impala hit 60 miles per hour in 6.5 seconds, while the Marauder was a half-second slower, according to C/D testing. Other sites have them closer together, which reinforces the premise it really was the little things that separated these muscle cars. Both made the most of their genetics, riding on ancient platforms (FordÂ’s Panther and General MotorsÂ’ B-body) that preceded these cars by decades. Both had iconic names.

Chevy up to old EVs-equal-range-anxiety tricks in new Volt Olympics ad

Fri, Feb 14 2014

General Motors is at it again with a new Chevrolet Volt TV commercial. Viewers of the Winter Olymics (at least in some markets) recently saw a TV ad in between the skating and the skiing that made no mention of the environmental benefits or freedom from the power of Big Oil that electric vehicles provide. No, this one was based on pure survival instinct. In the video, a father is driving down a highway, perhaps through the Mojave Desert. His young son is sitting in the Volt's backseat and asks what happens when the EV's battery runs out. "We'll have to cross that burning desert with snakes and cactus until we make it back to civilization," the dad tells his son as they pass the skeleton of a fallen bull. The fine print makes it clear that the actual maximum range is 342 miles. But there is hope. The father tells his son, with a beaming smile on his face, that the gas generator has kicked in and they're going to make it through the desert. As they wend their way to the horizon, a voice over says that Volt drivers who charge up regularly are making it 900 miles between fill ups. The fine print makes it clear that the actual official maximum range before you need to either plug in or fill up is 342 miles. This theme that emphasized range anxiety has been utilized by GM since the extended range Volt was launched in late 2010, despite the fact that Chevrolet now offers an all-electric vehicle in the Spark EV. Volt fans are praising the commercial, called The New Freedom, on the GM-Volt forum and you can see for yourself below. This content is hosted by a third party. 2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.
