2015 Chevrolet Colorado GearOn Edition is ready to do that outdoorsy thing
Fri, Feb 13 2015Bikes, skis, kayaks... the Chevrolet Colorado GearOn is ready to accommodate all of them, thanks to a trip to the Bowtie's accessories catalog. The special edition Colorado features the basics of Chevy's GearOn accessories, including a bars package, bed divider and tie-down rings, which can be supplemented with other accessories to haul all manner of outdoor equipment. Beyond that, though, Chevy has fitted a few other items to lift up the Colorado's styling, including gloss-black 18-inch wheels, black Bowtie emblems, a body-color grille, off-road assist steps and front foglights. 2016 Chevy Volt powertrain video teasers
Fri, Oct 31 2014If there's one thing we've learned about plug-in vehicle fans, you have a thing for seeing your cars get made. The series of videos showing BMW i3 production was strangely popular, as were the shots from inside the VW e-Golf plant. Well, with General Motors pulling the veil off of the 2016 Chevy Volt this week, it's time to take a peek at the production process for that vehicle as well. You're welcome. Up first we've got a clip from CNN Money showing a little bit about how the new Volt's new battery pack and other powertrain components are made. Those of you who are trying to read the lithium tea leaves and see if the new shape reveals that the 2016 Volt will have five seats might want to check it out. Then we've got two clips from GM itself, one showing an animation about the updated Voltec powertrain and another with some B Roll of the old Volt. Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
