TAHOE LS PPV - POLICE - 52K MILES - PRIVATELY OWNED
Detailed
vehicle description after pictures.
Why not
take a picture of my Tahoe at Gas Monkey Bar and Grill!
However,
here are my pictures at one of the really nice baseball
parks in Southlake Texas.
You can
see that there was never a lightbar mounted on the roof
and only has the two antennas seen. I did remove the
antennas you see in the picture with NMO caps as I am
reusing them on my new car.
I always
keep my engine clean and do not let dirt eat
way at the engine components.
Audiovox
DVD player with remote and aux inputs for rear
passengers.
The
wires seen below are for the corner strobes in the
headlights and tail lights, power supply is NOT included
Rear
cargo area sidewalls have some scuffs/scratches from
use.
Showing
only 51,586 miles when I took this picture 10/17/2013.
Owners
manual with case (not pictured) and two keys and fobs
Original
window sticker showing some of the police package
options and MSRP. A Tahoe PPV is a LS model with the
police package known as Z56. So the window sticker will
show Tahoe 2WD LS and have the police package as an
option.
Picture
of my receipt from Discount Tire for new tires bought on
4/20/2013 for $907 that included the tire warranty. The
warranty is transferable and all you need is this
receipt that will be in the glove box.

If you have any questions send me a message.
I try to explain my vehicles
the best I can and it may be long, but is very detailed.
I am selling my 2009 Tahoe
LS with the PPV (Z56) police package with just under 52K miles that has always been privately
owned since new. I bought this with about 31K miles in
July 21st 2011 after the original owner traded it in for a 2011 Tahoe PPV. The
original owner bought July 13th 2009 and was manufactured in May 2009. He was
an Assistant Fire Chief in a small Texas town and was able to purchase
this new due to his position at the fire department. It did have some emergency
equipment in it, but never a lightbar and only two antennas on the roof (still
functional, but no antenna). This
was his personal vehicle title in his name and even has a DVD player w/ screen for the rear seat
passengers. For all these reasons being privately owned, it was an easy decision
to buy it. So why am I selling it you may ask, well I just bought a newer vehicle
and cannot afford both.
There is NO lien on
the title, it is clear in my name. Winning buyer is responsible for a $500 instant deposit and final payment
before delivery.
Now for the information on this 2009 Tahoe. As
noted this was never used by a municipality so there was never a cage,
lightbar, external lights that make body holes, anything drilled into the dash,
no holes in the headliner, etc. It does have two wired antenna that are fully
functional to be connected if you desire and these are the only holes in the
body (removable NMO caps, no external antennas). It did have a arrow light in the top rear deck, so there is some marks
from that, but no holes. It did have some side Whelen Slimlighter on the back inside quarter
windows with two small holes on each side from the mounting of them, but are
very small. I noted no holes in
the headliner, but it did have a visor light at one time so there are indents
from that, but no holes or rips. The push bar had some lights on it, so there
are holes from that. Front windows are tinted to I think 25% and rear windows
are factory in glass tint.
One of the cool items with this is that it has a
rear DVD player with the screen that the original owner added most likely for
his children. Do not let that scare you as the rear seats are still near perfect
and probably did not see allot of use. I also upgraded the steering wheel to a leather
wrap with radio controls that is fully functional. This adds extra safety so one
does not have to take your hands off the wheel to change radio options. Plus
leather is so much more comfortable over that plastic wheel. This is
a direct plug and play add on with the steering wheel, so there is no hacked
modifications. On the outside rear I changed the white window fascia trim and
wing to black as I like how that looks on the GMC Yukon. The wing was original OEM
Tahoe black
I bought NOS and the sides were painted at my local body shop (off the vehicle).
In addition to that I changed the front and rear Chevy bowtie to black metal
ones. There is also the bug shield to help prevent road chips and it looks good
too.
Mechanically it is sound and I always change the
oil at about 3000 miles. This has the 4-speed transmission and of course the
5.3L V8 engine. The front brakes were just replaced along with new rotors. The
rear brakes were still OK and probably have 10k+ miles left. It has the extra
options of: dual batteries, G80 rear locker, fully functional from inside rear doors
& windows,
keyless entry w/2 Fobs & keys. Due to the strobes in the headlight housing there are no
daytime running lights, those bulbs were replaced with strobe tubes. One could
replace the bulbs and have daytime running lights again as it did not have that delete option. I replaced
the tires in May with Nitto 420S Tires over the really poor life
Goodyear GSA. The Nitto 420S are great tires and will last double if not longer
over
the GSA. These are not the original size as that is stupid expensive due to it
being really only used for th police package. I went with 275/60 R17 that is
almost exact match and 1/2 the price for a better higher rated tire. These were bought at Discount Tire for $907 and do have the road hazard
warranty. They currently have about 4000 miles on them and Discount Tire will
rotate them for free at 6000 miles. Original receipt is included to the buyer
will be able to use the warranty if needed. I highly recommend the free tire
rotation every 6000 miles.
Interior is
in excellent condition and too add to what I previously said there are no rips
or tears in any of the seats. I always kept my interior clean, no pets ever and
I do not eat in any of my vehicles. I also am not a smoker and do not let ANYONE
smoke in my vehicles. The rear cargo area does have some scuffs and marks from myself and the
previous owner. The
dash is perfect, no cracks on the top dash as I always used a sun shade and
tried to park out of the sun being I am am in Texas. The
rear cargo area had a Odyssey cabinet that was removed and I patched the two holes that
where holding it in place. This is well sealed with a cap an silicon and will not cause any issues
down the line, but I wanted to point this out. I added the LS center
factory jump seat console that is a very close matching black colour (slightly
darker over PPV ebony granite black). This was out of a
Suburban and fills the empty space between the seats very well. This is the high end
console with the upper and lower compartments, three front cup holders and can be used as a seat
since it has a seatbelt. There is also a 12v accessory plug and two rear cup
holders in a flip down tray. Looking at it you would think this is a Tahoe LS and
not the PPV with the added steering wheel, center console, DVD player and super clean
interior.
The are a few very small dings on the body over
all, but nothing major and with the white colour they are not always noticeable.
There is one on the driver door near the outside edge under the handle. Probably
another cars door hit it at one time. Another mark is on the driver rear back
quarter a scuff line, but no dent. I was the guy that would park far away from
other cars to prevent door dings and yes I always used one parking space. I was
not that guy that felt I needed 4 spots, but I tried to always park away from
other cars. I had a monthly car wash subscription so I would always keep it
clean inside and out.
If you
wanted to add emergency equipment back on this there is still most of the
pre-wiring in place. The wire loom is wrapped up under the dash and has power
and leads that run to the front for speaker and lights. Some of them are still
marked with the factory tags, others are not. The two red 10ga wires are for
power and the other two looms for the options. On the push bar, there is wiring
for a speaker, and two or three light options with grounds. The normal horn
works and all other factory functions as normal.
Well I think I covered everything, but if you
have any questions please let me know. The many pictures should answer most of the
questions about condition.
I have a
hard copy of the CarFax showing it as +$740 above retail value. Note that CarFax and Auto check do not
always show government or fleet use, I
guarantee
that this Tahoe has been privately owned/titled since new with 5 miles from
dealer to an individual name.
If the buyer
does not want the spot light and/or push bar I can remove them. The spot
light would still have the cut out in the door, but I can seal the
pillar and put a cap on the inside trim piece. I have done this before
and it looks fine and takes away that cop look. This is not a 100% seal,
but will be good enough to keep any water, moisture and weather out. It
would look like the picture to the right. |

This is a rare find to see a low mileage 2009 Tahoe that is still under GM power
train 5yr/100,000m warranty.
Expires 7/13/2014 or 100k miles.
Texas buyers attention:
There will be no license plates included with this sale,
buyer is responsible for all Texas taxes and registration fees.
Texas standard presumptive value shows $0 on the VIN:
1GNEC03099R249373
If you are a Texas buyer I will renew the inspection as it is expired. I am not
going to pay $50 if the car will be sent out of state as all the past vehicles I

replaced with a standard Texas white with black letters one.

Summer is here and the school season is winding to a close. That means millions of students will be graduating college and (hopefully) entering the workforce. For many, that will mean buying a new car suited to the new stage in life into which they will now be embarking. That can be a bewildering choice, especially for someone who's never bought a car before. Fortunately, Autotrader has come up with a short list of recommended cars – new and used – which it recommends to the graduating class of 2015. Among the site's top choices are some compelling crossovers and hatchbacks, including the Buick Encore, Chevy Trax, and Jeep Renegade, as well as the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa Note, Mazda3 and Fiat 500. Can't stretch to buying new, or don't see the point? Autotrader has also identified the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and even the Lexus IS as smart buys in the certified pre-owned category. "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," says Autotrader editor Brian Moody. "For example, while that hand-me-down SUV from your parents was nice when you turned 16, you may want to opt for a safer, more fuel-efficient car as you transition into the working world." Autotrader Names 10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates ATLANTA, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For many, graduating college is a milestone like no other – it represents a new chapter, a proud accomplishment and, fortunately or unfortunately, financial independence. Luckily for graduates who are in the market for a new car to suit their post-college lifestyle, Autotrader's expert editors say now is a great time to make a purchase, as dealerships are flush with affordable models that are fun, fuel-efficient and thoughtfully designed. Autotrader Logo "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," said Brian Moody, site editor for Autotrader.

Motor Trend admits, "This is an unfair comparison." But that doesn't make it any less fun to watch when they pit a Camaro Z/28 against the Porsche 911 GT3. The former has a 7.0-liter V8 with 505 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque shifted through a six-speed manual. The latter has a 3.8-liter flat-six with 475 hp and 324 lb-ft shifted through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Yet those are only the little disparities – the big disparities are mass and money: the Camaro weighs 3,882 pounds and costs $76,150 as-tested, the Porsche weighs 3,267 pounds and costs $145,785. But they're both about hardcore performance, so MT takes them out on the street, to the drag strip, to the parking lot for figure eights and a skidpad test, and finally to Big Willow for Randy Pobst to give his professional assessment. Remember when a lotta people spent a lotta time debating Pirates vs. Ninjas? This is like that, only it's the "haul-ass good-time car" vs. the "track surgeon." Enjoy the debate in the video.
