Up for auction is my 2005 Chevy Tahoe Z71 LT. This truck is the talk of the town locally. I have put truck loads of cash in to this SUV making a great / mean looking truck. But I'm ready to get in to a newer vehicle in my old(er) age. The motor and tranny have been rebuilt both at the same exact time and mileage. Nothing about the motor is original Chevy except the block, and that has been baked and machined by a professional machine shop. Everything that is on this truck will come with a file folder FULL of receipts to prove price, age and type of equipment installed. I put all new leather seats throughout as well as a new steering wheel, as the buttons were worn off and the leather was less than perfect. While I was at it I put new heating elements in both the passanger and driver side seats for both seat and back. The truck has a Pioneer Touchscreen DVD/BluRay/MP3/ Navigation Cd player head deck and Bose stereo, 3" body lift with new torsion bar keys and shackles, heathed seats, heated mirrors, power foot pedal adjustment, memory seats, keyless entry, HID headlights and fog lights, DVD/BluRay entertainment center in the rear,  New headlight and turn light housings due to the old ones being "fogged over", Red top optima battery, K&N FIPK air intake, Warn Trans4mer winch pan brush guard w/ Warn 10,000lbs VR Winch That has never been used....EVER, BRAND NEW 35x12.50 R17 BF Goodrich Mud Terrian KM2 Tires, Rancho RS9000 XL Shocks with wireless "MyRide" controller, Flowmaster dual exaust, Rear a/c, tinted windows, Bully Dog GT gas tuner programmer, it has brand new 4:56 Gears front and rear and SOOOOOOO much more that I could sit here all day and list the add ons. I'm placing this at a price to sell, the KBB (Kelley Blue Book) suggests the vehicle, just in it's factory condition, go for $18,320.00. No matter what the vehicle sells for, I'm going to lose money on it, I know this. But I'm not giving it away either. It's basically brand new other than it's year and miles. This truck was NEVER off-road by me or the previous owner whom I'm told was an older gentleman.

Mileage: Approx. 194,000...I still drive it so that could go up...not by much though. The motor was rebuilt at 177,825. Making a grand total of 16,175 approx on the motor, tranny and gears.

Pickup/delivery: Buyer is reposible for all delivery and/ or pickup costs.

Warranty: No warranty goes with this vehicle other than the parts installed respective manufacturers warranties. Receipts (ALL RECEIPTS) will come with the truck stuffed in a file folder.

Desclaimer: This truck is for sale locally also, so I reserve the right to end any bidding activity at any time.

Payment: I will only except payment via PayPal. Deposit is due within 24hrs of close of bid, full payment due within 48hrs. Pickup will not even be discussed, nor will I release the vehicle until the FULL payment has cleared. Sorry, but I've been burned on eBay before for being nice.

Good Luck everyone, trust me, you won't find another Tahoe thats this nice, and can be a daily driver without draining your bank for gas, ANYWHERE!!

Looking back on our favorite cars of Mad Men

Tue, Apr 7 2015

The second half of the seventh and final season of Mad Men debuted this week, set to cap a run of public and critical acclaim. A decade's worth of interesting cars also made for good television, if you were paying attention. Vehicles didn't often steal the spotlight from Don, Betty, Roger, Joan and the gang, but they added meaningfully to the tone and beauty of the series. We sorted through the wheeled extras from Mad Men's archives, and choose some of our favorites to highlight. The list consists of cars that had at least a small impact on the plot of an episode, though certainly there are worthy gems hiding in just about every street and driving scene. Check out our subjective top five, and then let us know which of the Mad Men cars would be on your list. 1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille – Season 2 Don Draper's Cadillac Coupe DeVille, all 500 feet of it, shows up in a few seasons of the show, but it's the first appearance that sets the tone. A Cadillac salesman, cut from the same cloth as Draper, asks what Don drives right now. "A Dodge," Don admits. "Those are wonderful if you want to get somewhere," allows the salesman, "this is for when you've already arrived." For a man on the move up corporate and social ladders that's a powerful message, and a pitch-perfect car. 1961 Lincoln Continental – Season 3 The most stylish Lincoln Continental ever is perfect set dressing for the mod show, of course. Though it's interesting that the car isn't cast as dapper Draper's ride, but rather his father-in-law's. Grandpa Gene does what all great grandfathers are bound to: lets his granddaughter Sally drive the big Lincoln while he works the pedals. Generational bond secured, in fine fashion. When you go back through the first three seasons of the show, you'll notice that Continentals show up more than once, too. There's nothing quite like them to evoke the best of the early '60s. 1963 John Deere 110 – Season 3 The only non-standard passenger vehicle on the list, no self-respecting gearhead/Mad Men fan should quibble with the inclusion of the John Deere 110 riding mower. For starters, the Deere is lovely to look at; a miniature version of the American Heartland icon in its green and yellow duds. The 110 appears as if milled from a solid block of steel, just the opposite of today's sleek, plasticky lawn minders (we're scouring Craigslist for one to bring home). The John Deere also has dear ramifications to the plot, too.

Chevy rolls out Silverado HD High Country

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

It's been a good week for heavy-duty truck buyers. First, Ram revealed the Black Package for its HD trucks, then it rolled out its new Power Wagon, and now Chevy's getting in on the action with its Silverado High Country HD. Okay, so it may not pack quite the attitude of Ram's latest 2500-series offerings, but the High Country HD will come as a welcome addition to the Chevy Trucks range to those looking to pull their horse, boat or other trailer without skimping on creature comforts.
Rolled out a little under a year ago, the High Country trim is Chevy's answer to the likes of the GMC Denali, Ford King Ranch and Ram Longhorn. It has until now only been offered on the light duty, 1500-series Silverado, but now extends to the 2500 and 3500-series HD models, as well.
So what sets a High Country pickup apart from lesser Chevy trucks? You'll be able to pick it out based on its chrome horizontal grille, body-color bumpers, 6-inch tubular side steps, 20-inch chrome wheels (18-inch on the 3500 and 17-inch on the dualie) and, of course, plenty of special badging. But it's inside where the High Country makes its mark, with a cabin decked out in saddle brown perforated leather, seats that are both heated and cooled, eight-inch touchscreen with full MyLink suite, Bose audio and park assist functions front and rear to keep those color-keyed bumpers looking fresh. (Though Chevy hasn't yet showed us the interior of the HD model, it'll presumably look mostly the same as the cab in the 1500 High Country in the gallery below.)

Tarantino's stolen Chevy Malibu from Pulp Fiction recovered after 19 years [w/video]

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Quentin Tarantino fans will likely remember Vincent Vega's cherry 1964 Chevrolet Malibu Convertible in Pulp Fiction. In a movie drenched in automotive references, the Malibu is very nearly a character in and of itself, and it serves as the subject of Vega's soliloquy about the kind of man who vandalizes another's automobile. It also happened to be Tarantino's personal car when the film was shot, and was apparently stolen shortly after production wrapped. Now police have located the car some 19 years later.
As it turns out, the thieves cloned the vehicle identification number from another '64 Malibu and had the car registered under the new digits. It was then sold to an unsuspecting buyer. Police happened upon the duplicate VINs while investigating another potential theft. Right now, it's unclear whether Tarantino has taken possession of the Chevrolet, if it has remained in the possession of the fraud victim, or whether it's caught somewhere in the gears of justice. Either way, you can catch Vega's memorable thoughts on the car keying in the Pulp Fiction clip below. But consider yourself warned: the video contains explicit language as Not Safe For Work as it comes.
