This has been a wonderful family car! We are downsizing, and do not need a large SUV anymore. 4x4, Third row, A/C, non-smoker, privacy glass, running boards, roof rack. All season tires that were purchased last winter. We bought the car two years ago from a dealer and have had the oil changed every 3,000 miles. We have had no issues with this car at all. It has been very reliable and wonderful in the snow. The outside of the car is in good shape as well as the inside. The carpet in the back seat does have a few stains, nothing out of the norm for a 9 year old car. We are going to be completely honest and tell of the 3 known things that need to be fixed on the car. None of the 3 things are major or concern the safety/driving ability of the car. We have a quote from a local garage of $1,000 to fix the 3 things:
1. One of the tire sensors needs to be replaced. This sensor tells you if your tire pressure is getting low. The price to replace the sensor including part and labor is approximately $200. 2. The airbag sensor needs to be replaced. The garage said that the airbag does work, it's just the sensor needs to be replaced. The price to replace the sensor including part and labor is approximately $200. 3. Every once in a while the speedometer and RPM needles get stuck. This always resets itself after a day or two. This has been happening with the car since we purchased the car 2 years ago. The price to replace the panel is approximately $700. These are the only things to our knowledge that is wrong with the car. This car is in great shape and drives great. The only reason we want to sell is because my mom gave us her car, so we do not need 3 cars. Thank you for looking! |

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme
Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes

Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place.
