Suburban runs and drives excellent! Engine runs strong and confidently with tremendous power. Engine starts right up on the coldest of days. Both batteries are brand new. Transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. This suburban gets truly amazing fuel economy going down the road, its hard to believe a full size 3/4 ton SUV can get 20MPG. Very low mileage for a diesel, it is just getting started. 4WD works excellent and goes into all ranges with ease. The glass is in good shape and free of cracks / damage. Tires are a matching set with good tread life remaining. Leather interior is in amazing shape for the age, there is some minor wear on the rear seat and driver's seat bolster. All power features are in good working order and function as you would expect. A/C blows cold and heat blows hot. It could use an exhaust gasket as it is a little noisy under hard acceleration. Exterior is in good overall condition for the age. There is a dent in the passenger rear door as shown, the interior door handle still functions to open the door however the exterior handle requires a lot of force to open. The paint on the hood and top of the roof are badly peeling and really need to be repainted. The rest of the paint is presentable. There is some corrosion on the rear bumper chrome work as shown in the photos. Carpets are clean and would look good as new with a shampoo. Includes both original keys and key fob. Truck is in good clean condition and ready to drive anywhere. $300 deposit due via PayPal within 24hrs, balance due within 7 days of auction end. Vehicle is sold ASIS, where is. Test drives and viewings are encouraged, feel free to email to setup a time to see this amazing one of a kind truck.

Thanks for looking and goodluck!

Question of the Day: What's the most irritating car name?

Wed, Mar 9 2016

You hear a lot about how the Chevrolet Nova was a sales flop in Mexico because "No va" means "it doesn't go" in Spanish; in fact, the Nova sold pretty well south of the border, and in any case most Spanish-speakers know that "Nova" means "new" in Latin and Portuguese. However, General Motors doesn't deserve to be let off the hook for bad car names, because the Oldsmobile Achieva— no doubt inspired by the excruciating "coffee achievers" ads of the 1980s— scrapes the biggest fingernails down the screechiest chalkboard in the US-market car-name world. That is, unless you think Daihatsu's incomprehensible choice of Charade was worse. Meanwhile, Japanese car buyers could get machines with cool names like Mazda Bongo Friendee or Honda Life Dunk. It's just not fair! So, what car name drives you the craziest? Related Video: Auto News Design/Style Chevrolet Honda Mazda Daihatsu Automotive History questions car names

Looking back at the Citation IV concept that likely shaped the GM EV1

Wed, Aug 20 2014

Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. We're not sure how that applies to the GM EV1, but we'd still like to share something from Autoline Daily, an online automotive new show with our friend John McElroy. He's been covering the business for decades now and recently found something interesting: pictures of the 1984 Chevrolet Citation IV concept, seen above. Displayed half a decade before the first electric concept that would become the EV1 (inset), McElroy says it's now clear that the elegant, aerodynamic EV1 took a lot of styling cues from the Citation IV, which was developed in part thanks to GM's new-at-the-time Aerodynamics Laboratory. We agree with him that the spats over the rear wheels, the flush glass, and the covered headlights all bear a certain kind of similarity between the two cars. That the colors almost match is a nice coincidence. The Impact (the concept version of the EV1) looked "frumpier," McElroy says, because it wasn't as long as the Citation. You can read a lot more about the Citation IV here and check out McElroy's thoughts in the video below. Find the Citation starting at around 3:45. This content is hosted by a third party. Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.
