I have begun a restoration on it and I have all of the parts to put it back together with only a few exceptions. I have all new rubber, new interior and even begun paint and the exterior is clear-coated. I should note that I have all five original wheels for this and 4 original caps for it (the spare didn't have a cap). Only 3 rust spots of any importance I've found. The inner kick panel (passenger side), the rear door area and the passenger side fender (which is also dented, too easy to hammer out.)

I have all lights, mirrors, horns, handles, window cranks, nuts, bolts, etc. off and labled in bags. All new parts are still in original wrapping and in boxes. Most of the new parts are rubber and and trim. I also have detailed pictures of all of my work done.

I have a 235 Motor I'll include with the sale but is not original to the truck and is running, no transmission. Since this was a prior military vehicle the motor was pulled and there was no title, I have a bill of sale. In Texas, a vehicle can be titled to the motor becuase there weren't vin#'s for this year or any year until '63 I think. I may be wrong on that year. I only got this other motor rounded up as of yesterday so no title as of yet but I do have a bill of sale that is still in the Junkyards name. It is a reputable yard and I've never had any issues in the past. If you're really uneasy about all of that, I'll be more than glad to title it but the fee it cost is $250 (what it cost me).

The GMC inner fenders were different from the Chevy, so I'm having a time finding one. This is not a part I've been able to find and the only part truly missing. Since there was a fog light attached to that fender I should note the fog light on there would need to be found as well, if you were planning on using it. I do have 2 fog lights but they don't match.

I'm selling my dream ride here and I'm pissed off about it. But simply put, This is a GMC suburban, which aren't as common as the Chevy Suburbans as well as the rear seat(s) are jump seats that runs lengthwise rather than width-wise. You'll simply have to note the photos. I've not ever seen one like that before. I have videos and lots of pictures for you to reference when putting this back together as well as the fact that all of the nuts, bolts and parts I have are all labeled and bagged.

Thanks for looking! Feel free to PM me with any questions that you may have, but I'm firm on my price and it's a bargin.

It won't be long now before Nissan Leaf finally overtakes Chevy Volt

Thu, Dec 25 2014

The two best-selling plug-in vehicles ever are the Chevy Volt and the Nissan Leaf. When the two vehicles launched in late 2010, the plug-in hybrid Volt quickly outpaced the all-electric Leaf and, despite lots of ups and downs since then, continues to hold on to a cumulative sales lead. This will change in 2015. Cumulatively, from November 2010 through November 2014, the Volt sold 71,867 units while the Leaf trails with 69,220. That's a difference of just 2,647. Based on current trends (with the Leaf selling around 2,500-2,700 a month and the Volt at 1,500-1,700) we expect the Leaf to take over either in January or, more likely, February when the Leaf takes over as the most popular plug-in car in America. Perhaps even March, depending on how low the numbers are for January and February, which are always slow sales months in the US. Of course, once it takes the crown, the Leaf can't expect to easily hold on for long. A new Volt is coming in the second half of 2015, likely beating a new Leaf to market. The question is, then, how well the Chevy sells with all of its new bells and whistles. Do you think the Volt will be the comeback kid once the 2016 model becomes available? Chevy Gives World Series MVP Madison Bumgarner A Recalled Truck

Thu, Oct 30 2014

Last night must have seemed like a dream come true for San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner. He helped his team win its third World Series Championship in four years, earned MVP status and was given a brand new 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. Bumgarner might want to hold off on taking a victory lap in his new truck however. The Colorado is currently under recall. General Motors issued a stop-delivery order earlier this month to fix the truck's air bag connectors, which were wired improperly during the manufacturing process. The faulty wiring can cause the system to deploy incorrectly. Only 138 customers have received their Chevrolet trucks, the rest were caught and repaired either in the plant or on their way to dealerships and show rooms. Recalls Chevrolet world series
