Up for auction is a great looking WHITE CHEVY SILVERADO 3500 4X4 CREW CAB W/ 6.6L DURAMAX DIESEL.  This is a perfect repairable to purchase, considering parts are always available for these trucks. This was hit in the rear , with both side dually's cracked. Our truck we are offering to the public, will come with a clean Michigan title. We purchased this from our local insurance company, which in turn now can be sold to the public. This was going to be a parts vehicle, so here is your chance to purchase it at a discounted price.
There is two rows of seating, in TAN VINYL . Second row seats are BENCH STYLE. The tires are fairly new and great looking. This has been lot driven, appears to shift just fine, engine runs perfectly. Exhaust is free of holes and loud sounds. The exterior (except for the sides of the bed) is free of rust holes, major scratches and large dents. Looking over the paint, it appears to have a good shine to it. Everything else powers up nicely. There is rust by the rocker panel, but not a whole. The truck has a brush guard and side steps. The rear differential is out of the truck( this is how it was brought to us). The 4x4 is working perfectly so we could lot drive it around. All the doors open and close with out noises. The interior is clean for the most part, floor is a little dusty and the rear bench seat appears to have tape over a rip. The inside of the bed looks good. The tailgate is missing from this truck
This is a whole lot of vehicle for the money. Our repairable cars, trucks and SUV's are available to look over at our location in person. Feel free to call and make an appointment and look over the vehicles we have up for sale.
Call or email with any questions yo may have about this or anything else we have up for sale.
We are a dealer and will require the buyer to pay for the taxes, title and transfer fees through us.

Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner

Sat, 24 Aug 2013

For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.

Opel CEO talks new EV, will likely be fresh face for Chevy, too

Wed, Jul 23 2014

The rumored demise of the Opel Ampera has been confirmed, but there's good news, too. Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann has been busy Tweeting information about the brand's next plug-in vehicle, admitting that the Ampera is on the way out but that plug-in vehicles are here to stay. His Tweets, in full, read: After the eventual run-out of the current generation Ampera, we'll introduce a successor product in the electric vehicle segment. Our next electric vehicle will be part of our massive product offensive – with 27 new vehicles in the 2014-2018 time frame. We see eMobility as important part of the mobility of tomorrow and we will continue to drive down costs & deliver affordability. As we learned earlier this week, the Ampera will not be refreshed when the current Chevy Volt is updated, most likely because of slow sales. Opel sold just 332 Amperas in the first five months of 2014. For now, General Motors is still building Amperas in Michigan for export to Europe. So, what might this new EV mean for the General Motors plug-in fleet? Official spokespeople are being quiet, but we think it's safe to say the new EV Neumann is talking about is not simply a rebadged Chevy Spark EV. This is the first official word about an entirely new EV, and we expect it will come to both the Chevrolet and Opel brands.
