Duramax 63k Miles Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Hd, Extended Cab, 4x4 Ls Diesel on 2040-cars
Burlington, Connecticut, United States
2005 Chevy Duramax Diesel. 2500 HD extended cab short bed. This truck has been in my family since it was originally purchased. Extremely Low miles at approximately 62,978. I drive the vehicle periodically still, so the mileage may increase slightly. This is a clean, low mileage truck that needs nothing. LS Package, with aluminum wheels, front fog lights, steering wheel controls and push button Hi/Lo 4x4. Power locks, cruise, power drivers seat. Dual climate control. Cloth seats. Chrome tube step sides. The original build sheet is attached below in a picture, and has full detail. I have the clean title in hand, ready to go. The truck is bone stock. Included with the truck is the factory tow package, and I also installed a brake controller. The truck has been well cared for, has never been a plow truck, and has never towed anything over 6000 lbs. Diesel 6.6L engine runs perfect. No known problems. Stock engine. Automatic transmission shifts perfect. No known problems. Stock transmission. - Tires are brand new as of November. - The brakes were replaced with new calipers, rotors, pads and ABS sensors this past summer. - New serpentine belt and pulleys in October. - Oil has been changed with T6 Synthetic Rotella every year. I have driven the truck very little over the past couple of years, so it was changed annually, at under 5K - New Windshield wipers and air filter. The truck is in great condition. I would describe the truck as excellent condition with normal wear and tear scratches or imperfections that are barely noticeable. The interior is clean, with black cloth seats and a front bench with a drop down center console. Floor mats are included all around. Clean, clean, clean. The stereo is stock, but the right front passenger speaker sounds fuzzy at higher levels. The body is nice, except for a small scratches here and there typical of a 7 year old vehicle. There is a small ding in the rear chrome bumper, and a nick on the front plastic bumper guard, detailed in the photos. Other small scratches do exist on the truck but are insignificant, and do not show up on camera. Potential buyers are welcome to come and see the truck in person before bidding. The truck is located just outside of Hartford Connecticut. Please contact me to see the truck in person. If you would like additional pictures, of have questions, please feel free to reach out. Full payment is required within 7 calendar days of winning bid. Cash, money order, or bank transfer. The truck is sold as is, where is, without warranty. I can work with you to arrange shipping or moving the truck, but this needs to be figured out before the close of the auction. The truck is also listed locally, so I reserve the right to pull the listing before the auction ends. |

5 classic trucks and their polarizing modern revivals
Sun, Mar 3 2024EVs are helping eliminate Detroit's gas-guzzling problem. Some revivals of gas-powered classics are getting the EV treatment. But not every revived model looks exactly like its original counterpart. We're in a new era of hulking Detroit metal, and you can thank EVs. Americans can't get enough of their big, beefy trucks and SUVs. But for many years, some of the biggest gas guzzlers fell out of fashion as gas prices rose and emissions regulations tightened. But in the past few years, some of the most iconic American truck nameplates have been brought back to life with electric motors, like the GMC Hummer. In other cases, as with the Ford Bronco, improvements in engine technology and more interest in rugged adventure vehicles made a gas-powered revival possible. Even some revivals that started as gas-powered, like the Chevy Blazer and the Jeep Wagoneer, are now getting electrified spinoffs. (Even if they don't always look quite as sleek as their original inspiration.) Here are side-by-sides of five classic American trucks and their modern counterparts. The Jeep Wagoneer 1975 Jeep Wagoneer and 2024 Electric Jeep Wagoneer SStellantis After a long wait, Jeep released its revival of the classic Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer in 2020. Starting later this year, an electric version of the luxury Jeep SUV will join the Wagoneer lineup. The Chevrolet Blazer A 1973 Chevrolet Blazer and a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EVGetty Images, General Motors The Chevrolet Blazer was first rebooted in 2019 as a sporty family SUV. The modern Blazer shares zero resemblance to its boxy, off-roading older sibling, but it has still managed to become one of Chevy's more popular SUVs in recent years. The Blazer EV came later, and was one of the first models GM built on its new Ultium battery platform. The Hummer A Hummer H2 and the 2023 Hummer EV pickup truckGetty Images, General Motors Once the poster child for Detroit's big, bad gas guzzlers, the Hummer got new life as an electric pickup truck in 2021. The Ford Bronco A 1971 Ford Bronco and a 2022 Ford BroncoFord Motor Co. After a rouge group of engineers and designers inside Ford spent years trying to breathe life back into the Blue Oval's boxy off-roader, the Ford Bronco was finally resurrected in 2020 amid a rise in popularity for rugged adventure vehicles. Cadillac CT6 production ceases January 2020 as part of D-Ham layoffs
Fri, Dec 6 2019General Motors filed paperwork under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act with Michigan's Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity this week, detailing events to come at the automaker's Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant. Starting February 28, 814 salaried and hourly workers at D-Ham, as its called, will be laid off. The 753 workers represented by the UAW will begin receiving offers in January to relocate to facilities in Michigan and Ohio, or buyout offers. As the 4-million-square-foot plant winds down through April 3 to a skeleton crew, the Cadillac CT6 ceases production in January 2020, and the last Chevrolet Impala comes off the line on February 28. The loss of the CT6 represents the end of Cadillac's latest brief, and highly regarded, adventure into flagship sedans. It might also mean the end of the 4.2-liter Blackwing twin-turbo V8 engine, at least for the moment. Both casualties are calamities. The death of the Impala closes the door on a nameplate in production for 52 years since 1957, having started off as a top-tier trim for the 1958 Bel Air known as the Bel Air Impala, once advertised with the line, "Lets you know you're the boss." As part of the new four-year labor agreement with the UAW, GM is keeping D-Ham open to build a new line of battery-electric vehicles, ultimately investing $3 billion and tripling employment to 2,225 workers when fully operational. The agreement described the coming EV as a "van" that would commence production in late 2021, but various reports say what's actually coming is a range of premium EVs in pickup and SUV bodystyles under the program codename BT1. The easy predictions put an electric GMC Sierra and Cadillac Escalade among the EV fold, but not until 2023, according to auto industry forecaster LMC Automotive. Before that, LMC claims an electric van will debut in late 2021, along with a battery-powered rebirth of the Hummer brand in pickup and SUV forms, also in late 2021.Â
