Here we have my 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab. This truck is a one owner and has been regiously maintained. For the first two years we owned this truck we paid for contract maintenance at Penske to service it. My son son became a manager at Valvoline and has maintained it for the last two years. We run Valvoline Full Synthetic in it.

The truck has been my personal vehicle since it left the showroom floor. It has high miles because I am in the delivery business and I help out with deliveries when we are short handed. It currently has 279,411 highway miles. These are 95% highway miles used for making deliveries. This is nothing for it's 6.6L Duramax Diesel engine and Allison Transmission. It is Fully loaded. Here are all the options:

6.6L Turbocharged Duramax Diesel V8 OHV 32V FI Engine (With New Injectors), Allison 6 Speed Transmission, AM/FM CD Stereo with Aux Jack and XM Satellite Radio, Dual Digital Multi Zone Climate Control, Dual Power Seats, On Star Service, Remote Start, Remote Power Locks, Power Windows, Cruise Control, Front Fog/Driving Lights,Tilt Stearing, Steering Wheel Control of Audio Buttons, Trailer Towing Feature, Trailer Wiring, and Trailer Brake Controller, Remote Power Mirrors with Flashing Turn Signals, Rear Window Defroster, Dual Front Accessory plugs, Computer that monitors MPG, Tire pressures, Oil Life, Fuel Filter Life and Trip meters.

The truck is in outstanding condition. It has new tires, a new water pump, a new fuel pump, new fuel injectors and a brand new bed with cargo mat and tail gate liner. We have all the maintenance records from the repairs and the Valvoline Services.

I am no longer working as a fill in driver and So now it's time to sell it and buy a car. I will post several book value sources to show the truck is worth what I am asking for it. Edmunds Puts it at $19,685.00 Private Party and $22,250.00  Dealer Retail, NADA puts it at $18350.00 Clean Trade and $22540.00 for Clean Retail. This truck is above "clean" This would be considered certified pre owned or better.

Now The best Part. This truck is highly sought after as it is the last model year before the addition of DEF. (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) Save money on every fill up as you don't have to buy DEF like you do on trucks 2009 and up. The fuel economy is currently 14.2 mpg City and 17.1 mpg Highway if you drive at 70mph. I have actually gotten 19-20mpg on the highway with the cruise locked at 64mph.

I am asking $21,500.00 (1,000.00 below the Dealer Retail ) as a starting point but I am open to offers) The only draw back of this truck is it will be hard to finance with the high miles so I am willing to consider cash offers. The truck has to go but we aren't desperate so please no lo-balling. If you are a serious buyer, with a serious cash offer, by all means email me.

Terms of the auction are $2000.00 depsit due immediately at auction close, balance due on pick up. Truck has a lien from GMAC financing. When you win the bid and pay the money, you will get a signed bill of sale, the title and the truck. I will wire the money direct to GMAC and they will send you the lien release within 7 days. You can pick it up whenever you want, but it must be paid for within 7 days of auction close.

Truck must be picked up in Louisville, KY or you can pay to have it shipped. Any questions just email me.

Good luck!

GM to make most cars LTE hotspots for 2015

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

General Motors isn't the first automaker to deliver in-car Internet access, but a proposed plan announced today could make the technology more widespread than any of its competitors have offered. By the 2015 model year, most Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC products in the US and Canada will offer 4G LTE mobile broadband access. Initially, GM will just be pairing with AT&T to deliver this service, but additional carriers will be revealed in the future.
Current in-car Wi-Fi hot spots are limited to 3G, but GM says that 4G LTE is 10 times faster than 3G service and will allow for full Internet access, including streaming video for entertainment as well as services like real-time traffic updates and navigation driving directions. There is also no need for a paired smartphone with this new system, which should make it easier to use, and GM and AT&T will also be working together to develop new apps for customers.
Buyers can expect to start seeing 4G LTE in their cars starting next year, and GM is already planning to expand the service to other global markets as well. All of the information from GM's announcement is posted in a press release below.

2016 Lamborghini Huracan at the Horse Thief Mile | AutoblogVR

Tue, Sep 13 2016

AutoblogVR returns to the Horse Thief Mile in the Mojave Desert to put the Lamborghini Huracan to the test. It's everything we want a modern supercar to be: Powerful, striking in appearance, and a riot to drive. But does it live up to Lamborghini's unique performance heritage? Senior Editor Greg Migliore reviews the Huracan on Horse Thief's unyielding curves and elevation changes to find out. Meanwhile, Autoblog Editor-in-Chief Mike Austin reviews a different kind of performance car – the Chevy SS at the IndyCar circuit on Detroit's Belle Isle. He's ably assisted by ace driver Simon Pagenaud. You must watch his hot lap! The SS is old-school V8 American muscle wrapped in Australian design and engineering. This AutoblogVR segment also launches on the app Sept. 13, and the teaser follows the Huracan preview above. Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll preview them here on Autoblog, but for the full immersive experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too!

Autoblog's guilty pleasure cars

Tue, Mar 10 2015

Guilty pleasures are part of life – don't even try to pretend like you don't have one (or two, or six). In the non-automotive space, this could come down to that secret playlist in your iPhone of songs you'll only listen to when you're alone; or think of that one TV show you really do love, but won't admit to your friends. I've got plenty, and so do you. Going back to cars, here's a particularly juicy one for me: several years ago, I had a mad crush on the very last iteration of the Cadillac DTS. Oh yes, the front-wheel-drive, Northstar V8-powered sofa-on-wheels that was the last remaining shred of the elderly-swooning days of Cadillac's past. Every time I had the chance to drive one, I was secretly giddy. Don't hate me, okay? These days, the DTS is gone, but I've still got a mess of other cars that hold a special place in my heart. And in the spirit of camaraderie, I've asked my other Autoblog editors to tell me some of their guilty pleasure cars, as well – Seyth Miersma, as you can see above, has a few choice emotions to share about the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Read on to find out what cars make us secretly happy. Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG This decadent convertible is the epitome of the guilty pleasure. It's big, powerful, fairly heavy and it's richly appointed inside and out. It's a chocolate eclair with the three-pointed star on the hood. Given my druthers, I'd take the SL65 AMG, which delivers 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. That output is borderline absurd for this laid-back convertible. I don't care. You don't need dessert. Sometimes you just crave it. The SL line is about the feel you get on the road. The roof is open. The air, sun and engine sounds all embrace you. It's the same dynamic you could have experienced in a Mercedes a century ago, yet the SL gives you the most modern of luxuries. An Airscarf feature that warms my neck and shoulders through a vent embedded in the seat? Yes, please. Sure, it's an old-guy car. Mr. Burns and Lord Grantham are probably too young and hip for an SL65. I don't care. This is my guilty pleasure. Release the hounds. – Greg Migliore Senior Editor Ford Flex I drove my first Flex in 2009 when my mother let me borrow hers for the summer while I was away at college. The incredibly spacious interior made moving twice that summer a breeze, and the 200-mile trips up north were quite comfortable.
