I have decided to put my truck for sale as it doesn't get driven very often as I have a work truck that I drive daily. this truck was bought brand new by me and has never been in any accidents and has NEVER even been to a dealership for anything ever!, I will start off by telling you about the truck, it is a LTZ 4wd crew cab, and the only options it doesn't have is navigation or sliding back window, but has everything else, here are all of the items that I have added, first off I took the entire front apart and painted it and the rear bumper as well, the step tubes are nasta brand in stainless and were first powdercoated and then painted to keep from showing any rock chips if you get one, I then put on a steel cowl induction hood, the mirrors and vent visors were painted as well as the bushwacker fender flares.it has a billet grille in it that I powdercoated black, the wheels are helo and are 22" with toyo 33x12.50 22's open country, guessing they are probably 40%, I show some photos pretty close up...In the bed is a black powdercoated uws toolbox, underneath it is a custom made fuel tank with a hidden pump inside the toolbox, I have a site gauge on the side to see the amount in it, it holds around 54 gallon, what is nice about this is nobody ever knows its there, check the pictures as I show it. as for the engine it is a 6.6 lmm duramax, that I have an ppe programmer and it has been on there since 25000 miles and never a single issue, I at the same time put a trans go jr. kit in the transmission and did a dpf delete and put on dual MBRP exhaust in 4" with 5" tips, it also has ppe race valve and ported fuel rail fitting, I have put new batteries in less than a year also changed the belt as it had a few cracks,  on the inside I have a tom tom gps that I have the cord all hidden so im goin to leave it in there and also have a triple gauge pod with isspro gauges that match the chevy dash, pyro, boost and trans temp. the truck is probably one of the nicest that you will ever find and people stare and stop me to compliment it anytime its driven, I have changed the oil and fuel filter every 5000 always!! I never slack on maitinence or anything, if it maybe needed it, I did it. it is in very good shape as you can tell in the pictures but it does have a chip or scuff in a few spots im sure, it has 71000 miles, please feel free to message or call me anytime to ask me any questions you may have at 217 825 4300, thanks for looking, the only thing I forgot to mention was long story short, I went on vacation a couple years ago and left my truck in the garage when I got home it wouldn't start and I was told it was security locked, don't ask me how it happened but the ppe company told me how to remove it with their programmer, and I did and it has been fine every since but the check engine light is on, I have been going to take it in to the dealer and remove the programmer and have them reset it and I have just never did it because it will be such a pain,,, thanks for looking again, Scott

nada book value for  this truck is, low retail 31,100 and high retail 35600, that is for a complete stock truck!  just to stop some messages, my reserve is right in the middle,

GM recalls Colorado, Canyon, and Malibu for airbag problem

Wed, Mar 9 2016

The Basics: General Motors will recall and issue a stop sale on 1,740 total examples of the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, Malibu, and GMC Canyon. This includes 1,579 units in the US and 161 in Canada. The Problem: The second stage of the driver front airbag inflator might not be present. If this happens, the airbag won't fill as quickly as it should in a high-speed crash, which could increase the risk of injury, according to Reuters. This is not related in any way to Takata's inflator problems, and these parts come from a different supplier. Injuries/Deaths: None reported. The Fix: GM will replace the vehicles' airbag assemblies. If You Own One: GM spokesperson Tom Wilkinson told Autoblog he wasn't specifically sure when recall repairs would begin but said it would be "shortly." He expects the fixes to happen "quickly" because of the small number of affected vehicles, and many of them are either in transport or already in dealer stock. More Information: GM recalled the 2015 Canyon and Colorado in 2014 for a completely separate airbag issue. In that case, a manufacturing error improperly wired the connectors. Related Video: GM Statement GM is recalling 1,579 MY 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Malibu vehicles in the United States and 161 in Canada to replace driver-side front airbags. The second stage of the airbag may not deploy properly in certain high-speed crashes. During a routine quality inspection, it was determined that a component required for a second-stage/high-output deployment was not loaded during the inflator build. Dealers will replace the driver-side front airbag assembly. There have been no reports of crashes or injuries related to this issue. This issue is unrelated to the ongoing Takata recalls.

Suzuki recalls 2 million cars globally

Wed, Apr 22 2015

Suzuki is recalling two million vehicles across the globe, including a number of Chevrolet Cruze sedans that it builds for General Motors, because the ignition switches may begin to smoke. None of the Cruzes being recalled were sold in the US, though. This recall is limited to the Japanese, European and Australian markets. In Suzuki's home market, 1,873,000 vehicles are being recalled, including the Cruze and a number kei cars built for Mazda (the Carol and AZ-Wagon), as well as the automaker's own Alto, Wagon R and Swift. Affected vehicles were built between 1998 and 2009. The remaining 133,000 vehicles include Cruzes and other Suzuki products sold in Europe and Australia. There have been no reports of injuries or accidents due to the 67 reported incidents, all of which come from the Japanese market, a Suzuki spokesperson told Automotive News. Related Video:

Impala SS vs. Marauder: Recalling Detroit’s muscle sedans

Thu, Apr 30 2020

Impala SS vs. Marauder — it was comparo that only really happened in theory. ChevyÂ’s muscle sedan ran from 1994-96, while MercuryÂ’s answer arrived in 2003 and only lasted until 2004. TheyÂ’re linked inextricably, as there were few options for powerful American sedans during that milquetoast period for enthusiasts. The debate was reignited recently among Autoblog editors when a pristine 1996 Chevy Impala SS with just 2,173 miles on the odometer hit the market on Bring a Trailer. Most of the staff favored the Impala for its sinister looks and said that it lived up to its billing as a legit muscle car. Nearly two-thirds of you agree. We ran an unscientific Twitter poll that generated 851 votes, 63.9 percent of which backed the Impala. Muscle sedans, take your pick: — Greg Migliore (@GregMigliore) April 14, 2020 Then and now enthusiasts felt the Impala was a more complete execution with guts. The Marauder, despite coming along later, felt more hacked together, according to prevailing sentiments. Why? On purpose and on paper theyÂ’re similar. The ImpalaÂ’s 5.7-liter LT1 V8 making 260 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque was impressive for a two-ton sedan in the mid-Â’90s. The Marauder was actually more powerful — its 4.6-liter V8 was rated at 302 hp and 318 lb-ft. The ImpalaÂ’s engine was also used in the C4 Corvette. The MarauderÂ’s mill was shared with the Mustang Mach 1. You can see why they resonated so deeply with Boomers longing for a bygone era and also captured the attention of coming-of-age Gen Xers. Car and DriverÂ’s staff gave the Marauder a lukewarm review back in ‘03, citing its solid handling and features, yet knocking the sedan for being slow off the line. In a Hemmings article appropriately called “Autopsy” from 2004, the ImpalaÂ’s stronger low-end torque and smooth shifting transmission earned praise, separating it from the more sluggish Mercury. All of this was captured in the carsÂ’ acceleration times, highlighting metrically the differences in their character. The Impala hit 60 miles per hour in 6.5 seconds, while the Marauder was a half-second slower, according to C/D testing. Other sites have them closer together, which reinforces the premise it really was the little things that separated these muscle cars. Both made the most of their genetics, riding on ancient platforms (FordÂ’s Panther and General MotorsÂ’ B-body) that preceded these cars by decades. Both had iconic names.
