DO NOT MISS THE CHANCE ON OWNING THIS MONSTER

What it is:
It started life as 3 different trucks because obviously GM never built a truck like this.
It is a 1/2 ton running gear which allowed for the single cab short bed without any frame alterations
It is a 3/4 ton cab (same as the 1/2 ton) used so that the vin would match the motor, which is why when looking up the vin there may be accident reports in the past.
It has every option ever offered in a GM truck....options that NEVER EVER came together except now AND IT IS ALL IN A SINGLE CAB

WHY?:
     Good question
My response to that question is why not? It has everything!!!! The more you look at it the better is gets...... the more you drive it the better it gets.
There are lots of guys out there that have $60,000 trucks without all these options.  AND THIS ONE HAS IT ALL WITH ONLY 2 DOORS

Quadrasteer:
There is lots of info on Delphi's Rear wheel steering system online but you can look all you want and you will not find one behind an LBZ duramax.
The rear end is a Dana 60 so yes it can handle the power NO ISSUES at All with around 30k already on the build.
It is a tried and true steering system and when you read about it the only people that do not like it are those that do not have it.
It is a push button system that you can turn on and off as needed. It turns lots of heads when you swing a lifted truck on 35" tires into a parking spot that a Prius just pulled out of.
Makes pulling a trailer a dream and backing it as easy as pulling it. (Guys watching you will be like wow that guy can back a trailer)

Duramax and Allison:
The engine is matching to the vin and cluster meaning that there is 119k on a 6.6 LBZ duramax which I have actually gotten my work trucks to over 600k with the same engine
The LBZ has all of the deletes done and done right with 5 stage EFI LIVE, S&B Cold air intake, 5" exhaust all the way back that sounds great.
The Allison transmission is fully built with over sized converter and all internals to withstand driving the truck on stage five 24/7 if desired without any issues.
The transfer case is the same as a 3500 so it can withstand just as much power in 2wd as it can in 4wd

Suspension:
The truck Boasts 9" of lift with rear air ride with also upgraded springs and shocks
Front suspension is built to withstand boosted 4 wheel launches if desired and can take whatever you throw at it and smile the whole time.
All suspension was painted to match the custom exterior color.
Tires are are 35" NITOS on 20" XD wheels and in great shape all the way around.

Interior:
The interior on this truck is completely loaded with all the options plus stuff that I will forget

      Leather seats with suede inserts
      suede headliner
      heated seats
      8 way electric seats
      electric peddle adjust
      dual zone climate control
internal trim painted to match exterior custom paint
      sliding sunroof
      electric sliding rear window
      touch screen navigation and radio
      6 CD changer
Speakers everywhere (roof, front pillars, rear pillars, doors, dash, with subs in the console)
      On Star
      temp and compass
      Pillar Gauges
All internal lights are changed with blue LEDs (A little kid down my street said it looks like a party inside my truck every time it drives by at night.
All interior equipment is GM so everything is on factory switches, no added toggle junk, no crazy wires, everything is in the fuse panel just like if it came from the factory

THE TRUCK
It is a professional job not shade tree.  Everything is done right and you cant build one for twice what the reserve is.
I would drive this truck anywhere. It is 100% Ready to Roll.  I have taken it on several 400 mile trips one way and never had an issue.
This thing turns heads everywhere and gets more attention than any classic car I have ever driven.
Did I mention that it gets 25 mpgs rolling 70mph down the interstate.
And is fully capable of 0-60 in 5.xxsec
IF YOU WANT THE TRUCK THIS IS IT AND THIS IS YOUR CHANCE. I CAN AND WILL SELL IT AND HAVE SET A VERY LOW RESERVE.

The truck has a rebult title via vin search because the motor needed to match the vin on the cab and cluster so that all information could stay legitimate SO the engine donor truck was the one with the issue. THIS TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN IN A WRECK AND IT HAS NO DENTS

There is also an airbag light currently due to SS airbag swapped and needs to be reset.

There is a $500 nonrefundable deposit due at the end of the auction and balance due within 7 days of the end of the auction in cash.

The best Super Bowl car commercials from the last 5 years

Wed, Jan 28 2015

If you've been dipping into the Autoblog feed over the past days and weeks, you wouldn't even have to be a sports fan to know the Super Bowl is coming up. Automakers have been teasing their spots for the big game, dropping them days early, fully-formed onto the Internet and otherwise trying to amp up the multi-million-dollar outlays that they've made for air time on the biggest advertising day of the year. And, we're into it. The lead up to the Super Bowl is almost akin to a mini auto show around these parts; with automakers being amongst the most prolific advertisers on these special Sundays. The crop of ads from 2015 looks as strong as ever, but we thought we'd take a quick look back at some of our favorite spots from the last five years. Take a look at our picks – created from a very informal polling of Autoblog editors and presented in no particular order – and then tell us about your recent faves, in Comments. Chrysler, Imported From Detroit Chrysler, Eminem and a lingering pan shot of "The Fist" – it doesn't get much more Motown than 2011's Imported From Detroit. With the weight of our staffers hailing from in and around The D, it's no wonder that our memories still favor this epic Super Bowl commercial (even though the car it was shilling was crap). Imported really set the tone for later Chrysler ads, too, repeated the formula: celebrity endorsement + dramatic copy + dash of jingoism = pulled car-guy heartstrings. Mercedes-Benz, Soul teaser with Kate Upton One of our favorite Super Bowl commercials (and yours, based on the insane number of views you logged) didn't even technically air during the game. Mercedes-Benz teased its eventual spot Soul with 90-seconds worth of Kate Upton threatening to do her best Joy Harmon impression. (Teaser indeed.) It doesn't win points for cleverness, use of music, acting, or any compelling carness, but it proved that Mercedes' advertisers knew how to make a splash in the Internet Age. And, hey, it's still classier than every GoDaddy commercial. Kia, A Dream Car. For Real Life Like the Mercedes video above, the initial draw here is a pretty lady; in this case the always stunning Adriana Lima. But this Kia commercial really delivers the extra effort we expect while scarfing crabby snacks and homemades, too. First of all, Motley Crue. Second, a cowboy on a bucking rhino. Enjoy yet again.

GM, UAW poaching Nissan workers in Tennessee

Tue, Sep 8 2015

General Motors and the United Auto Workers are going on a recruitment drive at the Spring Hill factory in Tennessee, and they're hoping to poach some skilled workers from Nissan's nearby plant in Smyrna, TN. The General and the union even bought a billboard advertising for industrial electricians near the Japanese automaker's facility, according to the Daily News Journal. The reason for the billboard was simple. "GM was short of electricians," said Tim Stannard, the president of the UAW local at Spring Hill, to the Daily News Journal. The factory currently builds the Chevrolet Equinox but has a contract to assemble the next generation of Ecotec engines and the Cadillac XT5, which replaces the SRX. Thanks to the $185-million deal, employment there is expected to double by May 2016, according to Stannard, with roughly 1,800 additional union jobs. Beyond just several billboards, GM has job postings online for the Spring Hill plant looking for workers with specific skills. There has already been some interest in the positions among Nissan employees, Stannard indicated. According to a recent study by the Center for Automotive Research, the average GM worker currently makes $58 an hour, including benefits. Comparatively, Nissan pays an average of $42 an hour with benefits. The General's number could change in the coming weeks because its contract with the UAW is about to expire, and higher wages are among the major negotiating points.

Recharge Wrap-up: EVs poll well in Portland, Tesla seeks office space

Tue, Aug 5 2014

In a poll of drivers in Portland, more than 80 percent said they would be driving an EV in the next 10 years if they weren't already. The poll was small and not scientific, with just 218 votes cast, but it does reflect a slice of a certain population with changing attitudes toward electric mobility, and 80 percent is an impressive figure. Additionally, 43 percent of respondents planned to have an EV in the next five years, and only 18 percent said they prefer gasoline-powered vehicles. With EVs in many ways repeating the adoption process that hybrids went through a decade ago, the five- or ten-year timeframe for more widespread use seems only natural. Read more at the Portland Business Journal. San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee parks like an idiot, or rather, his security detail does. His Chevrolet Volt has been ticketed for parking six times since he took office. Granted, those street-sweeping signs are tough to keep track of, but his car has been photographed blocking at a bus stop while grabbing a burrito (who hasn't sinned in the name of a delicious burrito?), and was even caught parked in a crosswalk. The tickets were all dismissed. Read more from the SF Gate. Tesla is looking for office space in Silicon Valley. As the electric car company continues to search for a place to build its $4- to $5-billion battery Gigafactory, it also needs some real estate to expand its operations near its Palo Alto home. Tesla has expanded from 3,000 to 6,000 California-based employees since the end of 2012, and plans to add 500 more by the end of the year. It is currently looking for 200,000 to 300,000 square feet of office space close to its Fremont factory, according to sources in the real estate industry.
