~2006 Chevy 2500 HD Ext. Cab 4 x 4, 98% Tires~

~Gasoline Vortec 6.0 L Engine runs excellent~

~Drivetrain checked and repaired for long-term service: The following parts have been rebuilt within last 500 miles by transmission shop; Transfer Case~

~Rear differential was thoroughly checked by transmission shop and new bearings and bushings including alignment of pinion and ring gears within last 500 miles~

~Front half shaft on drivers side replaced with a brand new shaft (all components including u-joints) within last 500 miles~

~Rear driveshaft was balanced and weighted by truck service center within last 500 miles~

~I had every mechanical issue completely reviewed and repaired by service center so I could put this truck on the road as a fleet vehicle for my electric contracting company~

~I no longer have need for this truck as I bought a Chevy Duramax~

The truck is a Work Truck Model and has few bells, just AC, Tilt, 4 x4, AM/FM, extra length cab, short bed, spray on bedliner.

This is really a one-owner truck as I bought it from Ritchie Bros. auction of TJ Lambrecht Company dispersal where 500+ of these were sold in Dallas, TX.

I have not used this truck.  When all repairs were finished I had purchased another truck.  I have no need for this truck but I believe to the best of my word this truck would be suitable and work ready with no issues.  I was drawn to the truck because the paint says to the public "This is a truck that is working, please be aware workmen are near"

~This truck garners a lot of very positive attention, many have commented that they LOVE this paint scheme!~

The driver side upper bedside is damaged, please look very close.  There are other areas such as door fronts

which are dinged, and little things all around that could use body work if that is important to you.  It is not rusted at all.

I see no prior body work.

2018 Ford Expedition vs other big SUVs: How it compares on paper

Fri, Nov 10 2017

With our Alex Kierstein rightly impressed in his first-drive review of the new 2018 Ford Expedition, we decided to dig a little deeper into the numbers, and we came up with the spreadsheet below to highlight how the new 2018 Expedition compares on paper to its main full-size SUV competitors: the 2018 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban (and therefore the 2018 GMC Yukon), 2018 Toyota Sequoia and 2018 Nissan Armada. We also threw in the new, even bigger 2018 Chevrolet Traverse since, as you'll see, its massive dimensions should put it on the radar for anyone who needs loads of passenger and cargo space but doesn't care as much about towing. A few notes about the chart above. First, the 6.2-liter V8 that's included with the new-for-2018 Tahoe RST trim level is the standard engine on the GMC Yukon Denali. You can apply most of the Tahoe's numbers to the entire Yukon and Yukon XL lineup. Second, though we highlighted categories where the Traverse led, we also highlighted the runner-up full-size SUV, since this was ultimately about that segment. Traverse numbers are broadly applicable to the new Buick Enclave. Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

Sun, 01 Dec 2013

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.

Next Chevy Silverado could get this built-in tailgate step

Thu, Feb 2 2017

General Motors just received patent approval for a tailgate step in a pickup bed. And given the timing, don't be surprised if you see this on the upcoming 2019 Silverado pickup (not the mention its GMC Sierra twin), expected to arrive in late 2018. According to the patent, granted in December of last year, the whole mechanism is housed in the tailgate assemble. The magic happens when a portion of the top half of the tailgate swings down and a step folds out. There's also a handle that locks into position to help climb up into the bed. As trucks get bigger and taller over the years, it gets harder and harder to access the cargo bed. Ford's solution with the 2009 F-150 was a step that slides out from the end of the tailgate. Back then, Chevy made an ill-advised ad highlighting the feature for Ford. And while Howie Long mocked the F-150's "man step" Ford saw almost a third of its trucks with the option in the first year. The GM design seems to improve on Ford's idea as it appears to be wider and has a back to the lower step. That is, you don't have to worry about stepping through the ladder-rung design as on the F-150. Ford's tailgate step later spread to the F Super Duty, and other cargo access assists have proliferated through the truck world. On the most recent redesign, the Chevrolet Silverado took a trick from the Avalanche and added cutouts to the corners of the rear bumper that act as a foothold. Ford also offers a deployable side step, Chevrolet has running boards that scoot rearward with a kick of the boot, and Ram offers fixed wheel-to-wheel side rails. Nissan is in on the game too, with an optional folding step that tucks under the rear bumper. We don't expect Chevrolet to comment on when or if we'll see this feature in the showrooms. But given that engineers are already hard at work on the next Silverado and the timing of this patent lines right up with the new truck's development cycle, we'll be disappointed if this patent stays in the file cabinet.
