Up for Auction is a very nice 2005 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab 2500HD 4X4 with a 6.6 Duramax Diesel with a Allison transmission. Truck gets around 18 mpg daily driving and highway miles which is excellent. This truck has lots of power and is a great truck whether for a family or to be used for a workload truck. Its midnight blue and paint is in excellent condition. Tires have less than 4000 miles on them. Truck comes equipped with an aux tank, but I don't have it hooked up to the power, but all hoses are ran to the tank and pump is in working condition. I just had to use for the extra tank as I don't take long trips. Truck also comes equipped with heavy duty front and rear bumpers and also an extremely heavy duty headache rack. The truck has a very nice spray in bedliner and nerf bars. The interior is in excellent condition and very clean. A/C blows extremely cold and the heat blows extremely hot. Its a great truck just down sizing to a smaller 4x4 vehicle. This truck has all the bells and whistles except leather. It has the temperature in rear view mirror and radio controls on the steering wheel. Just the aux tank, bumpers and headache rack are worth over $3500 so the truck has a great value. The bad is that the fuel gauge doesn't work correctly and that it needs a vain sensor, but neither impact the truck or power. $1000 deposit  due within 48 hours of close of the auction and remiaining balance within 7 days. Truck is sold as is where is with no expressed warranty. Buyer is resonsible for all delivery fees and for scheduling someone to pick it up. Will entertain reasonable offers but must pay through paypal and cover fees associated. It says salvage title on listing but it's an error I have clear Mississippi Title in hand.

On Dec-06-13 at 04:36:03 PST, seller added the following information:

Just added some pictures with light outside. I live on a dirt road It has been raining and the truck is driven daily so don't mind the mud spots on the fenders and sides. The.re is no rust on the truck or underneath, just answering that because someone asked if it had any rust

General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem

Thu, Feb 13 2014

General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed. GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.

Weekly Recap: GM plans massive new paint shop at Chevy Corvette factory

Sat, May 23 2015

General Motors is laying out some serious green to maintain the Chevy Corvette's expansive color palette. The automaker is breaking ground on a new paint shop this summer that's part of a $439-million investment to upgrade the 34-year-old Bowling Green, KY, factory that builds the Stingray. The massive new structure will total 450,000 square feet, nearly half the size of the current 1-million square-foot facility. Construction is expected to take two years and won't impact Corvette production. The upgrades include new robots that save paint and create a better finish, longer, more efficient ovens to bake in the finish, and LED lighting. There's also a dry scrubbing booth technology with a limestone handling system that eliminates waste. GM has invested $135 million in the factory in last four years for the changeover to build the C7 and to relocate its Performance Build Center to Bowling Green. The improvements continue to modernize the Kentucky factory, which has become a tourist attraction in its own right, as more than 56,000 enthusiasts visited it last year. The upgrades are part of a $5.4-billion investment GM confirmed in April that will remake its US footprint in the next three years. The Bowling Green expansion underscores GM's continued commitment to the Corvette, which sold nearly 38,000 copies around the world last year, an eight-year high. "With this major technology investment, we can continue to exceed the expectations of sports car buyers for years to come," North American manufacturing manager Arvin Jones said in a statement. OTHER NEWS & NOTES Takata recall hits 34 million vehicles The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration expanded the Takata airbag recall to an almost unthinkable 34 million vehicles on Tuesday. The recall is part of an agreement reached by the two sides where Takata admitted some of its airbag inflators have a defect, and the deal compels the company to comply with all future regulatory actions and investigations. Takata's airbag inflators were produced with "a propellant that can degrade over time" and lead to ruptures, NHTSA said. Six deaths have been attributed to the flaw worldwide. Investigations conducted by Takata, automakers, and others have not determined the exact cause of the inflator problem, but NHTSA said moisture appears to alter the propellant's chemical structure. It then ignites too rapidly, creates too much pressure that ruptures the inflator, and blasts shards of metal at passengers.
