You are bidding on a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado LS 2500HD 4 door long bed (8') 4x4 truck. This is a very nice truck. We have used it for pulling a large boat to southern lakes. It is a superb tow vehicle. This truck has the 6.0 gas engine and 3.73 gears in the differential.

The truck has about 97,600 miles on it. This will change a bit as I am driving it some.

The truck is in great mechanical condition. I change the oil every 3,000 miles and we have never had any mechanical issues with this vehicle.

The truck has no rust and it looks quite good. The cap is an ARE and it is in great shape, perfectly color-matched to the truck's red paint. There is a small dent behind the driver's side rear wheel (see photo) where a utility trailer rolled into it on our driveway. There is some corrosion and flaking on the chrome wheels. The truck does look very good. The CD player quit working last year, but I never had it checked out.

NHTSA closes book on Ford, GM probes of 600,000 vehicles

US safety regulators have closed a pair of investigations into some 500,000 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Marauder sedans built between 2004 to 2007, and 100,000 Chevrolet Impala models from 2014. The Ford investigation focused on rusting heat shields, which may become dislodged and jam the steering, according to Reuters. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that this happened very rarely. In fact, of the ten incidents filed with the government safety watchdog, six came from a single police department, which evidently had some sort of problem with its reporting. As for the Impala, the NHTSA investigators attributed two incidences of "unintended autonomous braking" to user error. In both cases, the vehicles were involved in rear-end collisions. According to GM investigators, it's believed that drivers accidentally activated the electric parking brake, causing the collisions. The vehicles in question were rental cars.
