2004 Chevy Silverado 2500hd 4x4, Duramax Diesel Extended Cab on 2040-cars
North Kingstown, Rhode Island, United States
2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD extended cab 4x4 Duramax diesel. Has approx 196K and counting. I am second owner, and have not had any issues with this truck. Starts right up in cold weather. This is not my daily driver but I use probably 2-3 times a week. Has great towing ability. 4 wheel drive works as it should. I have a 4 place snowmobile trailer and it doesn't feel like I'm towing anything. It does have 5th wheel hitch if you want it. I bought a larger 5th wheel trailer which is right at edge of towing capacity. I am hoping to upgrade to a duramax dually. Oil changed regularly. K&N air filter cleaned timely. It comes with Minute Mount II plow. Plow is older than truck and does have a patch above cutting edge in sheet metal. Works and operates fine, just cosmetic. Also has hand held remote for plow. No issues with truck all maintenance completed. Newer tires last year. Maybe 15K on tires still plenty of beef, see pic. I installed tires last fall before I started a job in OH. I am not desperate to sell, only move trailer to seasonal site twice per year. I've taken to SC and back several times and love the ride and towing capacities for trailer full of bikes. Plow was only used to clean my personal driveway end. From 1st owner he did his own driveway also. I would not hesitate to drive this truck to CA tomorrow. Tool box in truck is not included with sale. It is a 50 gal. auxilary fuel tank unless negotiated seperately. Comes in very handy for long trips. Pre bid inspections recommended. If you need more pics email me. Truck is advertised locally. PLease any questions please ask ahead of time and please have your finacing in place before bid. I can deliver anywhere in US if agreed upon beforehand. I am going to Bike Week in Daytona and Myrtle Beach and can deliver along the way if paid ahead of time. Email or call 401-626-2822 Thanks, Rick

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible is a Swiss hit
Mon, 04 Mar 2013We've just received an early peek at the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible here at the Geneva Motor Show. General Motors was kind enough to let us attend the final dress-rehearsal for its press conference scheduled for tomorrow's opening media day, and we've come away with a good look at the droptop C7 in person.
In the metal, the new Corvette Convertible seems somehow less avant-garde than the Coupe, even in Z51 Performance Package guise. That's not necessarily a bad thing - more of an observation. That initial impression may be because the C7's new greenhouse is one of its most prominent departures from Corvettes past. While we didn't get to see the top erected, there's no rear side window in the stock images that Chevy has already released, suggesting the C7 convertible's profile will look a lot like its C6 predecessor. And with the new power tonneau cover in place, there are also no rear ducts that come as part of the Z51 package (they've been moved under the car).
As with its predecessor, the tonneau is a handsome double-bubble piece, and the body-color "waterfall" element into the cabin between the seats has made it to the new model as well. Thus, the overall look with the top down should be a bit more familiar to prior-gen C6 owners - if you're one of those put off by the C7's new shape, you'll probably appreciate the convertible bodystyle more than the coupe.
Looking back at the Citation IV concept that likely shaped the GM EV1
Wed, Aug 20 2014Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. We're not sure how that applies to the GM EV1, but we'd still like to share something from Autoline Daily, an online automotive new show with our friend John McElroy. He's been covering the business for decades now and recently found something interesting: pictures of the 1984 Chevrolet Citation IV concept, seen above. Displayed half a decade before the first electric concept that would become the EV1 (inset), McElroy says it's now clear that the elegant, aerodynamic EV1 took a lot of styling cues from the Citation IV, which was developed in part thanks to GM's new-at-the-time Aerodynamics Laboratory. We agree with him that the spats over the rear wheels, the flush glass, and the covered headlights all bear a certain kind of similarity between the two cars. That the colors almost match is a nice coincidence. The Impact (the concept version of the EV1) looked "frumpier," McElroy says, because it wasn't as long as the Citation. You can read a lot more about the Citation IV here and check out McElroy's thoughts in the video below. Find the Citation starting at around 3:45. This content is hosted by a third party. MotorWeek looks back at 1995 Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon
Sat, Jun 20 2015MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.
