The vehicle i am selling today is a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Duramax 4x4. It has the LB7 duramax engine with many extras. I am the second owner. It is two tone, red with a grey bottom. It has one tiny dent in the driver side fender. It has a cowl hood, aftermarket grill, roll pan, hidden hitch, HID headlights and fog lights, LED tinted taillights and 3rd brake light, the bed is rhino lined with a bed mat, it is debadged, 5% tint all around with a 5% brow as well. The entire frame was stripped and coated with POR15 about 2 years ago. It does not go out in the salt or harsh conditions. It has the mag-hytec rear diff cover as well as the larger transmission pan, it has a 6" RCD suspension lift with traction bars and bilstein shocks. It contains SSBC brakes which are drilled and slotted. It has the upgraded tie rods and a straight centerlink in the front end, as well as 35" general grabber m/t tires with black rims. As far as performance parts go, it has a 4 inch turbo back silverline stainless dual exhaust with black mbrp tips. The driver side manifold is upgraded to the larger diameter one, it has a afe cold air intake, PPE Hot+2 programmer, turbo boost valve, aftermarket wastegate, the PPE fuel valves, 2 brand new batteries, and numerous other upgrades. In the interior, it is dark grey suade seats with power windows mirrors locks etc, has a pioneer head unit which is set up for navigation, sirius radio, and many other things and polk speakers all the way around the truck. It has a three gauge pillar pod, which is pyrometer, boost, and transmission temperature. There are many other things i am sure i am missing but this truck is beautiful, and was always taken very good care of. The truck has 66,977 on the odometer and was never beaten or ran hard. The reason i am selling is due to the fact of never using it. Id rather see someone enjoy it then to see it sitting around always. Has always been a great truck to me and have never had any problems with it. I am looking to get 20,000 or best offer for the truck. Buyer is responsible for pickup and payment. Will not ship this vehicle. Will accept payment through paypal or cash only. No other exceptions. I have the title. You can call or text 908-319-9221. Thank you for your time, Mike

Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts
Wed, 27 Feb 2013There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.
Vert-A-Pac train cars kept your Chevy Vega's price in check
Fri, 01 Mar 2013Our apologies to those who've seen this before, but for the rest of the class, how awesome are these pictures of the Vert-A-Pac shipping system General Motors came up with to ship the Chevrolet Vega back in the 1970s? Developed along with Southern Pacific Railroad, GM was able to double the amount of Vega models it could ship by packing them into the unique storage cars vertically.
At the time, rail cars could fit 15 vehicles each, but Chevrolet was able to lower shipping costs by making it possible to ship 30 Vegas per rail car, in turn allowing the price of the Vega to remain as low as possible. Each rail car had 30 doors that would fold down so that a Vega could be strapped on, and then a forklift would come along and lift the door into place. All the cars were positioned nose down, and since they were shipped with all of their required fluids, certain aspects had to be designed specifically for this type of shipping, including an oil baffle in the engine, a special battery and even a repositioned windshield washer reservoir. See for yourself in our image gallery above.
My year in EVs: 8 electrics that are changing the car industry
Wed, Dec 1 2021The year 2021 will go down as an inflection point in the auto industry’s transition to electric vehicles. It's when many much-anticipated models became reality. No longer sketches or sketchy prototypes, electric vehicles appeared from all corners with everything from the Lucid Air to Ford Mustang Mach-E changing how we think about transportation. I managed to drive a lot of them, and as I went through my notes, I realized IÂ’ve got a mini memoir of the seminal EVs of 2021. HereÂ’s my take on eight of them. Hummer EV Easily the most over-the-top EV I tested this year. The 1,000-hp super truck lived up to the hype with its domineering presence, stupendous power and simply being a reincarnated Hummer. I took it for a short spin on- and off-road at the General Motors Proving Grounds in Milford, Mich., and was impressed with the airy cabin, removable sky panels and expansive touchscreens. Yes, I crab walked, which felt like steering a pontoon boat, though I can see why it would be useful. Lucid Air Dream Performance The most beautiful sedan I tested all year, EV or otherwise. Unlike the futuristic Mercedes EQS — which is quite attractive — LucidÂ’s car is a blend of mid-century modern interior aesthetics and classic European exterior styling. When I walked up for my test drive, someone who IÂ’m pretty sure was comedian Jon Lovitz was sitting inside and taking it all in. As it sat in the valet of a hotel in a wealthy suburban enclave north of Detroit, the Lucid drew more attention than any of the Mercedes, Cadillacs or Lexus models passing by. The driving experience was enveloping. Starting at $169,000 for the Performance model (reservations are closed), the Lucid I sampled packed 1,111 hp and 471 miles of range. From the precise steering to the comfortable suspension, the dynamics were spot-on. It's a formidable product, and all the more impressive given itÂ’s LucidÂ’s first. Chevy Bolt EV The Bolt was the most pleasant surprise for me. It handled well, offered low-to-the-ground hot hatch dynamics and the steering was dialed-in. Adding a crossover variant for the new generation was a smart play. On a summer morning where I went to a first drive of the Ford Bronco at an off-road course, my hour-long commute in the Bolt was an enjoyable appetizer. The Bolt was also my biggest disappointment due to its extensive recalls for fire risk. Ironically, I had the Bolt in my driveway when the initial recall went out for the previous generation (2017-19).
