You are viewing a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD crew cab 4x4 truck. I have owned it since 2007 and believe I am the second owner. It has been a good truck and I am only selling it because I have changed jobs and no longer need a truck. I attempted to maintain it well. You will see from the pictures it looks pretty good. I bought alloy rims to replace the stock steel wheels. I have added a Sony CD player and a bug shield. I also added the receiver and wiring so I know it didn't pull a trailer the first five years of its life. The following items have been changed relatively recently: fuel pump, transmission filter & oil, trasfer case oil, front & rear differential oil, engine oil, air filter, rear ceramic brake pads and rotors, spark plugs, spark plug wires, PCV valve, fuel filter, battery r and rear axel seals.
I will try to mention all the known imperfections but please remember this a ten year old truck. Please see the pictures for areas that have some rust or paint flaked off. I should have placed a tape measure by the affected paint areas for reference but I didn't. I don't think any of the paint flakes areas are over an inch in size. The front right fender has a very small dent where it meets the grill. I forgot to take a picture of that but the dent measures about 1" x 3". The interior of the bed is scratched and one of the wheel wells and tailgate are dented on the inside of the bed only. The original drivers seat was torn and I replaced it with a cloth version. The cigarette hole was already in the replacement seat and to my knowledge the truck has never been smoked in. The check engine light will sometimes flash but all gauges read okay. The diagnostic scanner shows a P0300 code. The front speakers do not work. The air conditioning does not blow cold air if you are sitting in traffic but works great driving down the road. I have been told the fan clutch needs replaced which is supposedly easy and inexpensive.
Kelly Blue Book value for private party excellent condition is $8,946. I feel I have listed it at a good price.
Thanks for looking and contact me if you have questions.

GM uses wind power to build SUVs, trucks
Tue, Oct 9 2018This week started with a chill, as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change issued a dire report with scientists warning, "The world we know today is not the world we will see in 50 years," with temperatures rising at their current rates. In the meantime, the trend toward purchasing more SUVs and crossovers continues. Most automakers, though, have set goals toward more sustainable production. That includes General Motors, which, somewhat ironically, plans to use wind power to produce many of its vehicles, including pickups and full-size SUVs. As the Detroit Free Press reports, several wind farms are coming online to support cleaner production as part of a partnership between GM and energy producer CMS Enterprises. At the beginning of October, the 100-megawatt Northwest Ohio Wind Farm began producing energy, supplying GM operations in Ohio and Indiana, where manufactured vehicles include the Chevy Cruze, Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra. Hilltopper Wind Farm in Illinois will begin producing another 100 megawatts for GM manufacturing in the region. In Texas, where GM builds the Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL and Cadillac Escalade, the automaker is getting 50 megawatts from Cactus Flats Wind Farm beginning October 9. Using wind power isn't just about being green, but also for the sake of price stability. As Rob Threlkeld, GM's global manager of renewable energy told the Free Press, "You don't get the price spikes this way, like you do with fuel, and it reduces the environment footprint of the vehicle you're driving." Threlkeld said that renewable energy has already meant "millions of dollars in savings" for GM. GM plans to power all of its global operations with renewable energy by 2050. This week, the automaker was ranked 76 on the EPA's "National Top 100 List" of green manufacturers. It was the only automotive company listed. These are the 'Greenest' and 'Meanest' cars in 2015
Fri, Feb 6 2015As has become tradition, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) has come up with a ranking of what it refers to as the "greenest" cars of 2015, and, by way of contrast, a list of the so-called "meanest" cars, so those who value eco-friendliness over all else can choose which vehicles they should or should not consider buying. As you may expect, electric cars make up the majority of the greenest cars on the list, but, perhaps surprisingly to many, the Tesla Model S didn't make the cut. It's worth noting, too, that where the electricity an owner uses to charge their electric vehicle has a big impact on its overall environmental impact. "A car that is charged using electricity generated from natural gas or renewables is going to have significantly less impact on the environment than one charged on a coal-heavy grid," says ACEEE lead vehicle analyst Shruti Vaidyanathan. The ACEEE's list for 2015 looks very different than it did in 2014. It's an interesting collection, though – and we're sure this goes without saying, really – we'd recommend doing a bit more research into each vehicle and how it might fit into your daily life before making any purchase decisions. Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.
