This 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 4X4 is in very good condition for its age. 6.0 liter V8 with an automatic transmission with 126,123 miles.  I bought this truck on September 11, 2002 with 26,740 miles from Voss Chevrolet located in Centeville, Ohio.  The truck has never left this area and has been sitting in my garage for the last year.  The truck runs great and has many new parts.  The interior is in great shape.  The paint and body are all in great shape, just a couple little dings, no major damage.  The 4 wheel drive works great.  The truck bed has had a liner in it since I bought it.  Everything on this truck works well. The truck is not perfect, but its very nice and I have mixed emotions about selling it.

New Parts

4 Brand new Firestone Transforce HT tires 4/15/13.

All new brake lines.

New brake pads.

New master cylinder.

New hydraulic brake booster.

New water pump.

New exhaust system replaced last year.

New Optima red top battery.

In this part of the country we get snow and ice so the salt on the roads has finally started to take its toll on the rear bumper.  The bumper is very solid it just has some rust starting to show. The wheels are in the same situation, very solid just starting to show their age.

The truck is located in Springboro, Ohio 45066.

The truck has a clear notorized title ready for your name.  Buyer is responsible for shipping or picking it up.

The truck is very solid and I would not hesitate to drive it across the country if needed.

Man spent $75 on a truck that lasted 38 years

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Absurd as it is, some buyers today are worried about getting their car to last throughout the term of their seven-year car loan. Minnesota resident Bob Sportel has the opposite issue: his Chevrolet truck seemingly won't die. Sportel needed a cheap ride to get to work when he took a job at a farmer's co-op 38 years ago, so he bought a rusty 1957 Chevy pickup for $75 from a farmer; at the time, the 20-year-old truck was almost as old as Bob was. After nearly four decades of daily driving and an estimated 300,000 miles, Sportel is still driving the truck today. Bolts secure a fender, Bondo secures the lights, what looks like a whole roll of duct tape keeps him sitting on the bench seat instead of in it. For a 58-year-old pickup that's never seen a garage or a new coat of paint – but did get its oil changed four times a year – that's not bad; Sportel thinks his repair bill hasn't got above $1,000 for the entire time he's owned the truck. He still has no plans to get rid of it, saying, "It just becomes a part of you." You can watch his story in the video above. News Source: KARE11.com Chevrolet Truck Classics Videos

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

Wed, 28 Dec 2011

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
