Original owner. This truck has a custom ladder rack, storage boxes, computer stand and invertor for 120 volt power. Remote start, power windows, 6-way seats, power mirrors, xm/sirius, on-star capable, flex-fuel 5.3 with active fuel management, tow package-locking rear diff, transmission cooler, lower 3.42 rear gears.
This truck is set-up as the ideal contractors truck. Everything you need to organize your tools. Front box has a pull out that holds small tools. Computer stand allows for the perfect office on wheels. Truck hauls and pulls nicely all while getting good mileage, thanks to the 5.3. Tool boxes are designed to allow up to 18 sheets of 4x8 goods to fit on floor of bed, or a pallet of anything to fit between boxes. Upper bars on rack remove if you need to haul something taller. Bed liner is a roll on, that has recently been freshened up.

The truck does have some dings and one dent in the hood, see photos. The interior is clean, however it does have some scratches in the sill plates and a wear spot under the drivers mat. It has new floor mats.
It has been a good truck, I have started using one of my larger trucks and no longer drive this one.
There is still a loan on the truck that would need to be paid with the proceeds of the sale, prior to the title being transferred. This will take a day or two. I would consider delivery within 200 miles of Charlotte. Any further will be the responsibility of the winning bidder.

Chevy might've pulled out of NASCAR if it weren't for new Gen 6 car

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

We've been on the fence with NASCAR for some time now. On one hand, it's some of the closest racing anywhere in motorsports, with actual passing and door-handle-to-door-handle action as a matter of course. But on the other, it's become template racing - a personality-driven sport more about the drivers than any sort of loyalty to a particular automaker. The Car Of Tomorrow format really rammed that message home, with a racecar's identity coming down to little more than headlamp stickers slapped on the nose. That's not necessarily a bad thing in and of itself, but we've wondered for some time what's in it for the automakers, who pay big money to stay in a series that has had little increasingly little do with street car sales, let alone innovation.
Apparently General Motors was beginning to wonder the same thing. In a new ESPN report, Rick Hendrick, team owner of Hendrick Motorsports, suggests that GM would have seriously considered leaving NASCAR if it wasn't for the move away from the COT to the new Gen 6 racer. According to Hendrick, GM North America boss Mark Reuss spearheaded the charge away from the 2007 COT and toward a racecar with clearer automaker ties - cars like the new Chevrolet SS racer shown above. Learn more about the fight for a closer-to-production look in the ESPN story at the link.
Now, if we could just get more rear-wheel drive V8 coupes into showrooms....

Chevy Sonic shreds like a skateboard

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

Despite the fact that the 2013 Chevy Sonic is a fun, plucky little thing - especially in ever-so-slightly hotter RS guise - it is not, in fact, a skateboard. But don't tell that to rapper Theophilus London.
In General Motors' latest spot for the Chevrolet compact, London needs to make a quick run to the store for some milk. And even though, once again, the Sonic is not a skateboard, it ollies, pops and gets air because, you know, it's just so much fun to throw around.
If this video looks familiar to you, it's because this is the full ad that we first got a preview of in Chevy's longer, full-line spot, where the brand's "Find New Roads" tagline was introduced. Scroll down to see this dedicated Sonic spot, along with the older ad, and remember, the Sonic is still - still - not a skateboard.
